PANDEMIC IS 2 YEARS OLD ! It's been a while since we have posted something here, but please know that Pandemic is still alive. I just wanted to update you on the latest news regarding Pandemic. The Pandemic Alliance was established on 8 January 2008. We just realized that that is 2 year ago. We are quite happy and proud about that. Of the original 10 or so members, the majority is still part of the alliance. The biggest changes in the past 2 years were as follows: - 8 January 2008: "Gamestrafe alliance" was established. The original members of the alliance all come from the former "gamestrafe.com" forums, formerly know as "Fever Gaming" - June 2008: name of the alliance was changed to "Pandemic" - June 2008: Pandemic enters into a protectorate with Viridian Entente (VE protecting Pandemic and Pandemic promising support were necessary and possible) - August 2008: new Pandemic forums launched (to be found at http://pandemic.forumotion.net/index.htm ) - November 2008: Pandemic merges with Malachite Empire. The alliance continued under the name "Pandemic" - April 2009: Pandemic gets involved in the KARMA war. Not much, but still: our first big war effort as an alliance. At the same time, Pandemic reaches a 400k strength as an alliance. - July 2009: Pandemic's alliance strength is 500k. A (small) milestone in our existence. At the same time, Pandemic joins the United Jungle Accords. - October 2009: Due to the economic crisis, Pandemic lost several members. At it's peek, Pandemic had 26 members in the summer of 2009. - December 2009: Gamestrafe.com, the forums / website where the original Pandemic alliance members met and started the CyberNations planning and ideas, went down. - 8 January 2009: With 20 active and experienced members and an alliance strength of appr. 600k, Pandemic is as alive and kicking as it was when it started. We legitimately support our friend and protector, based on the treaty we have with them. The Endemic Resolution contains the following: Article VI – RECIPROCAL DEFENSE (...) Should the VIRIDIAN ENTENTE come under attack, The Pandemic Alliance is encouraged but is not obligated to provide the VIRIDIAN ENTENTE with such assistance as it is able to muster, be it military, political or financial or other assets. (...) With regard to our decision process, you may know that Pandemic is a True Democratic alliance, which means that all member states have equal rights and an equal say in every alliance decision. Pandemic is also a peaceful alliance. This decision therefore was not an easy process and has taken some time. You may call it what you want, but we are of the opinion that this step was difficult, but a logical, honest and honerable one.

I am speaking to you from the Cabinet Room - 10, Downing Street, Wank City. For some time, the Pandemic Alliance has kept its neutrality in the current conflict, the so-called “Karma-Hegemony War”. With the continuing growth and expansion of this war throughout the Cybernations world, the Pandemic Alliance has democratically decided that the time for changing its position and choosing a side has now come. Our close friend and protector, the Viridian Entente Alliance, has stand up for the thoughts and beliefs in a free Cybernations world. They were one of the first alliances who declared itself against the arrogance and brutality of the NPO. By doing so, they exposed themselves to attacks from other alliances and individual nations. In compliance with the treaty that Pandemic has with Viridian Entente, the Pandemic Alliance has now undertaken a general mobilization of her forces on land, air and sea. As of 7am (GMT+1) on the 30th of April 2009, the Pandemic Alliance has therefore declared a state of war between the Pandemic Alliance and the Multicolored Cross-X Alliance (MCXA). This morning, certain detailed announcements were sent to the individual member states of the Pandemic Alliance. The Pandemic Alliance has made plans under which it will be possible to carry on the work of the alliance and its member states in the days of stress and strain that may be ahead. The Pandemic Alliance will play its part in this war, and I know that our member states will play their part with calmness and courage. Now may God bless you all. May He defend the right. It is the evil things that we shall be fighting against – brute force, bad faith, injustice, oppression and persecution – and against them I am certain that the right will prevail

Or perhaps be able to collect taxes 2 times per day (every 12 hours, instead of every 24 hours). That would also make people get online more often and get more active in th game.

Just check these forums. There are plenty of recruitment announcements here. And probably your inbox is full with PMs by now as well... Just know that the only real democratic alliance is the Pandemic Alliance. So if you're new to the game, but want to have influence in an alliance from the start, just sign-up on our forums. And that goes for everyone reading this post.

As we all know: there are no women on the internetz. But, we also know that it has been scientifically proven that more women in top positions, ensure that there is more creative thinking and results in a bigger profit for companies. Therefore, Pandemic is looking for women and girls who are willing to perform in the board room environment of the only true democratic alliance on Cyber Nations: the Pandemic Alliance. So far so good. Masking is a bit difficult, I admit, but I manage to do that by creating specific user groups. I can give access to specific forums per group. And because we are still rather small, it is OK to do. Perhaps if we get bigger, we have to think of something else again. We also use it as an open forum, accessible for everyone (that's where the cake is hidden...) Feel free to step by and share your experience. Or even better: join Pandemic and you can help me modding the forum. Thanks for the reply BTW.
