Yes, but are they all on IRC at the exact same time? A post on a forum can be lifted any time of the day, an IRC chat however is only witnessed by those there at the time, and if the group online is small enough, the possible suspects are easily narrowed down.
It would also be much easier to determine the spy, I would think.
I would guess that Vox are not interested in compromising their spy, if they do indeed exist, so perhaps log are being taken, just not released for public consumption?
