Why I don't Celebrate Thanksgiving
TurnipCruncher commented on The MVP's blog entry in The MVP's Blog
I live in England and don't know what the hell any of you are whining about. My Dad used to drive a Granada. Or was it a Cortina? Either way, it was better than most of the family cars at the time. -
Umm, clocks went back last week.

The mercy board and the EoG list: Myth vs Reality
TurnipCruncher commented on Sardonic's blog entry in The Goon Experience
I don't know, is it that bit at the bottom of your mercy board with 2 ** next to permanent peace with the addendum A** assuming the nation is not rogueing on GOONS? And if you choose to ignore the top part of my comment, which I believe is blindingly clear to everyone else...you go girl. -
The mercy board and the EoG list: Myth vs Reality
TurnipCruncher commented on Sardonic's blog entry in The Goon Experience
As you consider raiding a valid means to your ends, and consequently acknowledge that it is deserving of a negotiated peace, why do you not consider rogue attacks against your alliance as worthy of the same possibility of a negotiated settlement? It is, after all, the other side of the same coin. -

Wow. Nice answer. I'm glad you cleared that up for everyone. -
The mercy board and the EoG list: Myth vs Reality
TurnipCruncher commented on Sardonic's blog entry in The Goon Experience
But making your own nation that raided in error do the mercy board reeks of a punitive measure, seeing how your own nation IS at peace with GOONS. Also, try to remember that the nation performing for your entertainment in the mercy board process did not choose to be doing it. YOU raided THEM. Your "defence" of this process is BS of the highest order. There is no way in hell I would ever do anything a GOON asked me to do. I would rather delete from the game. As I am sure many do. -

So why make the raiding nation go through the mercy board? Since they are not being attacked by their own allies, I presume it is some form of embarrasing, punitive measure? -
Worst. Thread. EVAR.

Ragnarok Announcement !

I like RoK. If I wasn't NoR...well, I would quit. But I would be tempted. -
Ally in front, ally behind.. Good. let's make it a block and rise through all of the others.
Yeah, a 3 alliance merger would change the game somewhat! lol

EDIT--had to post this "TODAY I HEREBY DECLARE THE EXISTENCE OF THE DARK LORDS, THE NOBLEST AND STRONGEST WILLED BLACK TEAM ALLIANCE EVER. OUR VEINS RUN BLACK WITH LOYALTY TO THE BLACK TEAM. WE ARE DEVOTED TO ENSURING THE PROSPERITY OF THE BLACK TEAM, SO THEREFORE I HEREBY DEMAND THAT ALL NATIONS ON THIS TEAM JOIN MY ALLIANCE." --from their DoE "No." --Ralph Pootawn
Honestly, I respect(ed) NV, they've always been upstanding. Because of that, I was 100% expecting them to hit us last night, not the dozen or so others who did. Then they piggybacked on this, and while I'm not whining, or maybe I am (read it as you want), I'd just like to say I lost a lot of feelings for someone who I thought was one of the most respectable alliances out here. Times change.
Ummm... baaaawwwwww. o/NV The best friends NoR could have hoped for. -
RL Military Vets or Current Service Members...
TurnipCruncher replied to Walt Schmidt's topic in Open World RP
I'm in Afghanistan right now, under daily rocket attack in KAF. I must admit, it makes me feel a bit better to be able to throw rockets back out at Planet Bob rather than just sit and take them! I have not read through all the pages of this thread, so I will just try and point out a difference I have noticed lately. In RL war, when negotiations are mooted, both opposing sides start pushing really hard to negotiate from a position of strength (Paris talks for Vietnam, the IRA in the 90's and here, now). On Planet Bob however, you tend to find that the opening of a potential settlement to a conflict has a de-escalating influence as most nations seek to limit the losses incurred near the end of a conflict. Thanks however to our complete r-tard of a Prime Minister negotiating with terrorists (again), we are now getting bombed more than ever. Cheers Labour! How long until the Taliban are in parliament with the IRASinn Fein mob? -
Joseph Thorne was annoying, but at least coherent and sort of right. Slayer99 I hate but that will suprise nobody. I like Electron Sponge though.

Which alliance most deserves to be rolled?
TurnipCruncher replied to Lonely's topic in Open World RP
I'm not advocating old school NoR cleansing, if it even existed, lolcommies excepted. I'm just saying what I don't like. And I am not going to trawl through anime and wind up on OP Orr claiming "research" *COUGHPETETOWNSENDCOUGH* My opinion. I guess a lot of people don't like NoR. Cool with me. Ok, carry on. Sorry for derail. -
Which alliance most deserves to be rolled?
TurnipCruncher replied to Lonely's topic in Open World RP
I started school aged 4...depends on your date of birth and country you live in. And don't deny that anime makes the subjects age difficult if not impossible to judge, but trending to the lower end of the spectrum. Anyhoo, the question asked, I answered with my personal opinion. Deal with it. -
Which alliance most deserves to be rolled?
TurnipCruncher replied to Lonely's topic in Open World RP
Any alliance or nation that has an anime sig or avatar should be rolled. Simply because you get turned on by a nose-less, big eyed, distressed looking 4 year old schoolgirl. Sickos. And TGE. lol -
Address from Commanding General
TurnipCruncher replied to mhawk's topic in Alliance Announcements (IC)
Just my opinion, but as a veteren of TBB and Slayers unjustified war of aggression against NoV, I think TPF have regained a LOT of respect from me and others who were once its victims. I also feel that mhawk has the right idea for TPF to have a future in "leaving no man behind", a sentiment that the current NoR can applaud. However, if NPO has given their blessing for you to leave this war...take it. You have done more than enough to prove your honour and the value of the treaties that you sign. Let TPF find her own path, and think of your own members. They have proved they will follow their leadership anywhere, why not start to lead them down a road with a future? NPO in whatever way it survives will remember your efforts, your current enemies will remember your efforts for a lost cause, it has the potential for a quite rosy future for you. -

Is it necessary to have so many "lolcommies" alliances? Ah well, congrats and good luck. -
LSF+Maroon=Fail Also, I love Electron Sponge, don't ever change.

Thanks for the nice messages. We really are blessed with an excellent government here in the Reich. And as they say and the membership, grudgingly or not agree, the past is over and our bar is open to all, former enemies, former friends, everyone. Swing on round and chuck your car keys in the bowl, it's a big 'ole Nordic love-in here nowadays.
