We bring you this announcment to let the world know of our changes as well as our advancments and accomplishments over the past few months. We have started to push back against the common plague of inactivity and new life is starting to spring back into the alliance. We have also achieved new records for the alliance. While they may be small compared to most alliances and for our age, they are goals that we have set out to achieve and we have achieved them. Octava Orden looks towards the future even more as it begins its long climb for its own personal achievments one step at a time. The First Announcment I would like to bring to you is that we have achieved a record setting 400,000 combined Nation Strength within the alliance itself. It has also achieved a milestone of controlling 100 nuclear weapons combined amongst it's member nations. So while we do not have the number of nations that we had before, we have a much higher level of devotion from the core members that we are standing behind now. There have been some changes on the government as well as some new positions being created in the alliance. There are still some things that have to be done within the alliance concerning government changes, but for records and on who you can contact for know concerning problems and concerns on our forums or on IRC is this list below. We have had a lot of talk on the inside of our alliance concerning treaties we currently had our alliance a part of. While we wish that that all treaties could be kept, there comes a time due to communication failures from both parties or just the separating of paths as signatories decide to take a different path in life. The first treaty we plan on bringing to mention is the treaty of "Pirates like to play Mafia Wars PACT". This was Mutual Defense Pact signed between Octava Orden and The Mafia. We are sad to announce that we are canceling this treaty due to loss of communication from both parties since it was signed. It was more than likely in neither of our intentions to lose communication to make this fissure between our two alliances, however as time moves on an alliance has to find out who its friends are through some unnecessary means. The next treaty we wish to bring to attention is the signatures from Octava Orden towards the Green Protection Agency concerning it's Declaration of Neutrality. While to our best of abilities we cannot find a way to technically cancel this treaty, we have instead informed the GPA government that we will be removing our signatures from the document that is the Declaration of Neutrality. We decided that this document was unnecessary to keep our signatures on as the fact that is a well known fact and common accept law among the land that the GPA is a Neutral alliance so there would be no actual point in keeping a superficial document between ourselves in Octava Orden. We have no plans of engaging in hostilities between ourselves and the GPA, and we wish them the best of luck in their grand voyage of being Neutral Entities within this world. This is all too familiar...I forsee war with against someone or something that has to do with Austria, followed by a treaty later after the war...then well we all know how this is followed as per the wonderful fictional works describing the great war of 1914.

It is a good show of Athens to give out awards to those not in their alliance, shows their respect to people even in other alliances. I however think AirMe is probably more important than he is made out to be in this thread so far. Even though I have had my problems with him, he is a very competent person and leader which will hopefully bring more to the field than he already has.

I for see twenty more pages of the same argument being argued over and over again as new people join the thread, don't read what others have posted, and others bringing those arguments back up by replying to the new people crying in this thread. I said this when I fighting the GOONS during The Ninjas-GOONS fight off; If you are so morally offended by the situation and feel something needs to be done about something that you see as an atrocity, then do something about it. Actions speak louder than words, and the longer you argue with someone when you have some kind of moral high ground or however you want to perceive it, the easier it is to fall as you push your self up further and further up its steep slipper slopes. It only takes one good throw of a rock at this point to bring you down and all you have fought to gain up that mountain was for nothing. While I am not going to go through and read all the posts that everyone has made, I will simply leave a simple comment here. Those that are in a position of power against another person will use that power in one way shape or form to get more out of the person than is what is owed. I cannot simply say that it is like a Mafia situation, where they would get protection money from people that were not in harms way or not because in one way shape or form there was a screw up that happened before a situation got ugly. As we are all humans, and humans are fallible and mistakes are bound to happen even by government officials so it is clearly a forgivable offense. Each party is right in its own views. The Mushroom Kingdom felt that it was wronged by a nation that they assumed was an NSO member, so they wanted retribution for the sleigh of hand which they assumed was an attempt to undermine their sovereign right as an alliance. The New Sith Order laid multiple claims to the fact that this member was a ghost and it was a mistake that he had not been demasked yet. If this was true or not, even if he was a member a member at the time he broke the rules which resulted in expulsion from the alliance which should of made him responsible and no the New Sith Order for his transgressions as it has happened numerous times in the past when a nation screws up and is forced out of the alliance. The brunt sum of it is that even though you are in an alliance, you are still responsible for your own actions. If you screw up to a point where you are removed from an alliances membership because of your actions you should be held responsible from the actions from that point forward and not the alliance. If an alliance realizes you screwed up enough to remove you and not defend you, it is not something that the alliance should be held accountable for. However if the alliance holds onto a member that screws up, then they should only be involved to a point of negotiating a settlement between the grieved parties and the party that did the offense.

What in the world have you done to my GOONS!? Now what am I supposed to do when I do all nighters and sit in the GOONS channel and watch people come in and cry about being tech raided? This is an outrage. I do not approve of these changes. Oh My Dear Sweet GOONS, What have I done to wrong you? My heart sinks for you.

Your best bet would be to check out the CN Wiki, read up on some alliances and go interview their governments on IRC when you get some free time. In all honesty it would be your best bet. Some research into prospect groups should be a given for any player wishing to join an alliance.

If this were anyone besides the GOONS, this thread would of died, six pages ago. Though while I am sure the GOONS love the attention they get, some people should consider finding new hobbies. This is on the simple fact that some of you are rather horrible at an attempt of making the GOONS look bad, or your attempt to bandwagon on the GOONS hate proves that as the wagon was leaving, you didn't quite make the jump to get on it, fell in the mud, and are now left cursing at the GOONS to no effect because of your rather unfortunate circumstances in which you were so late to the bandwagon, that it had been gone for months now, and the GOONS hate party is now in a distant land that you are not present in. I may recommend picking up chess, playing miniature golf, or writing haiku's in your new profound free time that you will soon discover after a select few of you realize that your insistent whining is really amount to nothing and most of the community thus far will tend to ignore you.
