Open Letter from The Order of The Black Rose

Recommended Posts

As The Brain's official minister of LOL, I congratulate all those that have ascended through the ranks of The Noble and Honorable Order.

However I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't open up this door...

We all know RP is mandatory at the OBR, you guys are some of the best in the business, however it has been to my understanding or maybe my own ignorance that you Hime have been a gentleman, why the sudden CN sex change ?

If it is to one day become the new Queen, well that makes sense, however would it not been easier to change the Oath of Order and make a King ?

While I may not be the pretty one at the dance. Hime(Japanese for Lady or Princess) Themis has always been a female.

Dame Hime Themis stomps off to her hairdresser, "someone is going to answer for this."

Applogies, Mi-Lady, thats what I get for thinking with the head that usually gets me in trouble, good thing for you though, I do have a habit of saying inappropriate things to women way to often.

Congratulations Dame Themis, Knight W_A_R, and Knight Winslow.

I am glad to see you are well, Craven. Should I venture off into the long-since forgotten land of Espernet, I will be sure to pay you and the Order a visit.

The more I read this announcement, the more questions I have.

Let the reflect, I Freelancer have had the pleasure of working with some of the original members of The OBR, I understand all their traditions and understand 99.9 percent of most policies regarding certain acts, I've seen them first hand.

Awhile, back The First Knight, went public with this Gem, and for transparency reasons I will admit I had prior knowledge that the event would come to pass, however I did not know what, I had a unique relationship with said knight where we would chat OCC from time to time via email. However since that time he's broken any kind of contact with me after this last email.

For the record; I will never play football on your team. You give up at halftime.

Obviously edited for security reasons

Now to the real question at hand..

The OBR I knew and remember had the strictest guidelines when it comes to following orders given by a superior.

When Experimentum revealed the intent of The Writ De Credo, it sparked a ton of reactions globally at which time Knight Protector Neboe issued a gag order on OBR and Blackwater.

Madam you then posted your true feelings in public after that Order, One thing about the OBR that has always held, you can rant and rave all your want in private but when you post in public you better sound like a politician, which then wants me to ask this question, was the gag order I heard about real ? Or was it just a rumour?

How pleasant of you to bring up such a happy event in this thread honouring our newest hard working Knights Sir W_A_R and Sir Winslow and our celebration of our newest Squire Floyd.

I am afraid however that you may wish to revise your timeline. First of all the OBR does not do "gag orders". We may suggest that for the purposes of ensuring clarity that an official response be allowed to precede any other posting by the members of our Order. When this is requested out of respect we all try to adhere to that request. Secondly my post on that unhappy day preceded any such official request to refrain from posting. I was responding on a personal level to an act of libel by a formerly high ranking officer of the Order that I actually used to have a great deal of respect for. Sadly I was caught unaware and responded to quell some of the concerns that I was recieving as a diplomat about the accusations.

You may wish to revisit the words I spoke and the timeline. I indicated I would put my personal reputation on the line to defend the spirit if not the poorly worded nature of the Writ de Credo. I am sure you would do no less for your alliances reputation.

"What ever cute machinactions he may have felt were written into the Writ, I reject any such nefarious intent. I pledge that if in fact there ever was or currently is then I will find myself on the other side of a conflict with the Order. "

I am mildly amused you talk about following orders while defending the word of Sir Ex after he violated the most basic tenant of any alliance affiliation.

Since I am certain that you have chosen to relive these issues only for the best interest of the Order of the Black Rose and the friendship we maintain with The Brain. I thank you for giving us the oppourtunity to clear up that misunderstanding .

Respectfully

Dame Hime Themis

My very best wishes to the worthy persons that have been honored at this time. I remember fondly my time within the black walls of your keep, and will continue to watch with interest as the Queen's retainers take a more dynamic role in Digiterran affairs.

While I do not formally speak for my alliance, I believe that I can speak for the Body Republic of the New Polar Order when I respectfully congratulate Sir Winslow, Sir W_A_R, and Dame Hime Themis on their ascensions to the Council of Knights, and of course to Squire Floyd.

Long live the Queen and her Order!

As has been repeatedly mentioned in this thread, Dame Hime Themis, you continue to show why you are an invaluable member of OBR, and a worthy addition to the Council of Knights.

Now when is Craven going to become a Squire? ^_^

When those above me feel it is time old friend ;)

What about my dearest floyd :(

We promise to take good care of him :)

He has certainly proved himself an asset to the Order of The Black Rose

I too would like to express my congratulations to Sir Winslow and Sir W_A_R. They are indeed very deserving members. Sir Winslow was always tireless in his efforts and adherence to guidance. He is an OBRer to the core. Sir W_A_R, once deeply regretful over a mistake, once offered his resignation for the good of OBR. Such willingness for self-sacrifice can never be adequately rewarded.

Now, so as to avoid further derailment of this thread, Hime Themis, please meet me in this new thread.

Congratulations on well deserved promotions. To celebrate said promotions and the silliness of others for bringing up silliness in the midst of this happy occasion, I will be giving away free cookies tonight.

Cheers, OBR!

Thanks to all who have wished us well, and to my many friends from MHA. I'm honored to be associated with the people of the Rosular Kingdom, among the most honorable and accomplished in Digiterra. Congratulations to my friends Dame Themis, Sir W_A_R and Sir Winslow. Sir Winslow deserves particular mention because he has never served outside of the Order, and does yeoman's work on internal affairs, so he may not be known to many of you. A better alliance-mate one couldn't have, and we are all thrilled to see him take a higher profile.

(Also, hi Trinite and Kev. I'm still kickin.' Come say hi on EsperNet, #blackroseorder and #blackwater)

While I do not know any of the esteemed members of OBR being honoured save Sir W_A_R of Vijar, I wish them all the best on this most notewrthy of days.

As for the knight from Vijar...there is none more worthy of the esteem this title brings. Having worked with him I know he is among the most honest and loyal travelers on Digiterra. If Sir W_A_R told me the sky outside was green, I would not need to waste energy checking his story, I would instead bend my will to finding out why the sky had turned green.
