To All Those To Whom These Presents Come, Greetings;

One year ago, an Age of Openness, was brought forth upon the Cyberverse.

One year ago, the Source Code, which governs the OSA was just a template for our alliance. A year later, the Source Code has shown itself to be a living guide, which was just the starting point from which Openness was brought to life.

One year ago, OSA began statistically with 11 members, possessing 215,330 NS, defended by 406 aircraft, 115,652 soldiers, 767 tanks, and no nuclear weapons or naval vessels. A year later, OSA has bolstered its forces to a membership of 45 nations, possessing 1,396,599 NS, defended by 1,755 aircraft, 1,087,453 soldiers, 72,798 tanks, 534 naval vessels and 332 nuclear weapons, backed by 8 WRCs.

One year ago, OSA began politically as a protectorate of The Phoenix Federation. A year later, OSA has ratified treaties and made ties to many alliances including: a signatory of NOIR, a PIAT with SNAFU, a MDoAP with Ronin and a founding signatory of Checkmate.

One year ago, OSA had never waged war. A year later, OSA is engaged in open nuclear armed conflict with The Sweet Oblivion in support of our close allies and friends in Ronin as well as in defense of our commitment to each other.

One year ago, OSA had never had democratic elections. A year later, OSA has successfully had free and open democratic elections, bringing forth new rulers, in all elected positions within the OSA(President, Ministers of Defense, Economics, Education and Training, External Affairs, Information Services and Internal Affairs).

One year ago, I could never have imagined our failures and successes or our triumphs and our tragedies. A year later, I have borne witness to them all and I am glad for the insight as well as the wisdom they have all brought the OSA, its membership and government alike.

A year later, it is my personal pleasure to welcome you all to share in the Age of Openness over the coming days by visiting us at our forums as well as our IRC channel: #OSA

Finally, I thank all Open Sourcers, both past and present, for all their contributions to the OSA; without them we would not be who we are today. Additionally, I send thanks on behalf of all Open Sourcers to those alliances(and individuals) without whose help and friendship OSA would not be the same alliance it is today. This includes, but is certainly not limited to: /A\/A\, City of Rapture, Genesis, GOONS, Mr. Fixit Online, Olympus, The Phoenix Federation, Ronin, SNAFU and Umbrella.

It's been an honor serving OSA this past year and I look forward to seeing how we grow into the next.

Much thanks to all the great people and alliances who have helped us along the way.

A year ago I could not have imagined where OSA would be today. We've met many of our original goals, changed some to keep up with the times, and if I am totally open and honest failed in some others. Mistakes certainly were made, but offset, at least in my mind, by successes unfathomable at OSA's inception. My time in OSA has been the most rewarding that I have spent here on Planet Bob, and that is quite simply because the community of OSA, and the friends we have made are the most interesting, funny, creative and genuinely entertaining and supportive people I've encountered in my time here.

o/OSA
o/Checkmate.
