All matches that have been confirmed will now be played.

OOC Note: I'm putting a limit on friendlies to three. Since I have to do all the work of simming them, writing match reports, etc., doings tons and tons of them is simply too much work. So, three per team in between each Cup. Coolio? Coolio.

OOC: I'm for short reports and unlimited friendlies.

IC: Australia wishes to challenge Cochin to a rematch.

The Isara Alliance had a good game with Isocoles, and would like to know if they would like a rematch.

"Damn it! How did this happen? I want a rematch played immediately. If we lose to Isocoles again I'm rebuilding the entire bloody team."

OOC: I liked the longer reports, they were nice to read. Three is a good limit.

OOC: Just a note, longer reports will still be used for the tournament. They just wouldn't be used for friendlies.

Cochin Football Association accepts the challenge from Australia.

Cochin National Football Team would meanwhile analyze their performance in the match against Republic of Tahoe and seek to identify the points of weakness and strength to improve upon.

"It was an interesting match, giving our young players some additional international experience."

OOC: Totally fine with the shortness.

The Falklands are saddened by their loss, but none the less looks forward to its next matches.
We would like to play VDL, United Isocoles both as rematches, and we wish to play The republic of Vietnam.

The current World Rankings were released today, taking into account all the nations that have gone defunct since the last Cup of Nations. Currently, there are only 22 AFIS affiliated international squads across the globe. International squads from countries not currently affiliated with AFIS who wish to join should submit an application (OOC: post here saying you want to join) and your team will begin to move up the world rankings as matches are played.

Current World Rankings

1. Empire of Pravus Ingruo
2. Transvaal
3. Germany
4. Kingdom of Cochin
5. Revolutionary Federation of French Communes
6. Athenian Federation
7. Greater Nordic Empire of Dalmatia
8. Marscurian Siberia
9. Novak
10. United Federation of the East
11. Queendom of Australia
12. Greater Korea
13. Japan
14. Rebel Army
15. Arctica
16. Minilla Islands
17. Slavorussian Empire
18. Funky Republic of Puerto Rico
19. Hakaarian Empire
20. Maritime Republic of J Andres
21. Zargathia
22. Labrador Empire

Also released today were the all time national standings for every team that has ever participated in an AFIS organized match. A few things jumped out. The Empire of Pravus Ingruo is far and away the best team on the planet, a full 15.5 points ahead of second place Transvaal, who was in grave danger of losing their #2 ranking to the United States of America before they dissolved. The now-defunct Louisiana holds the distinction of being the only AFIS-affiliated team ever to play more than 10 games and not win a single match in regulation. The Pelicans won one match off of PKs, but otherwise never tasted the sweet nectar of victory.

All-time WR/Team
1. Empire of Pravus Ingrup
2. Transvaal
3. Germany
4. United States of America
5. Denmark
6. Republic of Tahoe
7. Kingdom of Cochin
8. Revolutionary Federation of French Communes
9. Athenian Federation
10. Greater Nordic Empire of Dalmatia
11. Isara Alliance
12. Marscurian Siberia
13. Republic of Vietnam
14. Novak
15. United Federation of the East
16. United Isocoles
17. Queendom of Australia
18. Greater Korea
19. Japan
20. Louisiana
21. Alaskan Union
22. Wilsons Promontory
23. Rebel Army
24. Arctica
25. Minilla Islands
26. North Pacific Commonwealth
27. Imperial Hudson Reich
28. Sicilian League
29. Slavorussian Empire
30. Funky Republic of Puerto Rico
31. Hakaarian Empire
32. Atlantis
33. Maritime Republic of J Andres
34. Las Malvinas/The Falklands
35. Amerikanisches Reich
36. Southern Sudan
37. Zargathia
38. Union of Myanmar
39. Republic of Labrador
40. Republic of Madurastan
41. Romanov Federation
42. Revelstone
43. Republic of Cascadia
44. Articuno Islands
45. Imperium of Canada
46. Alaska Republic

All-time rankings are determined by scoring each AFIS affiliated match that an international side plays. A win receives 4 points, a win on PKs gets 3.5, a draw gets 3, a loss on PKs gets 2.5, a loss gets 2, a friendly win gets 1.5, a friendly draw gets 1, and a friendly loss gets .5 points. The ranking based off of this score is then averaged with the ranking from the last tournament (a complicated formula determines tournament ranking, which is then averaged with the last world ranking and then divided by the number at the end of the tournament) to determine the final all-time world ranking. Current world rankings are derived from this process and then by removing defunct nations.

"Sri Lanka would like to join the AFIS."

OOC: Could I take over Germany's team (or part of it) if Martens doesn't want to continue the soccer-stuff? I did RP a truckload of people from the GDR leaving for Sri Lanka and chances are a great number of soccer players are among them.

OOC: That is something you and Martens will have to work out. If he says the team left to Sri Lanka, then the "Germany" team will be renamed to "Sri Lanka". But once you guys figure out what is going to happen, let me know.
