Sargun II
Conference Renaming and Reassignments This morning in Sarnunga, Prime Minister Klass announced that the CFC would be renamed from the Carthage Football Conference to the Ceuta Football Conference. In addition, she announced that the Republic Football League, or RFL, would reassign every existing team to a new division. Each division will be the final resting place for each team, and teams that are consistent throughout the seasons will stay in their own Division. Division switching is impossible. Here are the new conference division looks. Sargun II
Calgary Stampders 24 - 27 Hansa Rainbow Warriors Calgary was the clear favorite heading into the new season. The newly-christened Hansa Rainbow Warriors had little bite to their bark heading into the game, and Calgary - a favorite for the Title last year - was expected to romp around. Unfortunately, on the eighth play of the game, the Calgary quarterback was sacked and his collarbone broken by the vicious hit. The Rainbow Warriors defense took advantage and held the Stampeders to 87 passing yards. The score was close mainly due to the Hansa's spotty special teams play, which allowed three drives starting within their own 30 yard line. Hansa prevailed 27-24, and Calgary's stock has plummeted. Kevinho
So how exactly will the comp be structured? We have to win the divisions and go through to a knockout? Sorry, not a massive expert in this sport.
Sargun II
The top team in each division of each conference automatically goes to the playoffs regardless of their record. The top two teams in each conference that didn't win their division gets a "wild card" slot. For example, these are last years' records and this is the explanation of those records. The same rules apply this season.
Sargun II
I sincerely apologize about the wait. All games have been simmed for the past two weeks, but I forgot to put the results up last night. Results (and standings) will go up after I go shopping. Firewater
the Diplomats fought hard their first games, or so the citizens hoped as the first news of their team reached the homeland. At any rate, with the sucess of other sports teams in Debate Land, the Diplomats need to win soon, or risk being ignored for that other kind of football, or at least that is what their coach said in his first interview back home... Vedran
The Arctica Lemurs are starting off good this season, ending the second week at the top of their division after last season's mediocre performance. The coach commented on the changes. "American football is not very big in Arctica, so we were pretty green last season. Still, we did our best and have improved our technique. Hopefully we will have a stronger game this time around. The weeks to come will show whether this success is just luck or if the team has turned itself around. I'm betting on the latter, and I'll make sure the guys keep that in mind during practice."

Sargun II
Game of the Week Flying Mex 17 - 14 Dogana Drop Bears The Flying Mex capped off a successful 2-1 start to the season with a thrilling win over the Dogana Drop Bears. Both teams were 1-1 heading into the game, and both were looking for a reason to be contenders for the playoffs. Dogana got off to a fast start with a touchdown on the opening drive, but Flying Mex responded with two touchdowns in the second quarter. Dogana tied it up with a brilliantly orchestrated 86-yard touchdown double-reverse run, and late in the fourth quarter they had the ball in Flying Mex territory. The Mex defence sacked the Bears quarterback and returned the fumble 63 yards to the 3 yard line. They ran the time out and kicked a field goal as time expired to tie for the lead in their division with the Texas Longhorns.
