Over 300,000 people, including Governor General Anna Bligh, died in the immediate blast, and the radius of total destruction was about 1.6 km, with resulting fires across 11 square kilometer. It has been estimated that 12 square kilometer of the city were destroyed. However, even with the massive destruction, most of the city remained intact. The nuclear weapon had denonated over the Prince Charles Hospital, saving the Central business district. Because of the wind blowing north at the time, most of the radiation also avoided the downtown area. Even in the face of the disaster, the capital of the Queensland Republic survived, ready to be rebuilt. -Message to the world- The Queensland Republic has been attacked by a nuclear weapon launched from an unknown location. They are acoompanied by 500 tanks, and will be part of the security force to enforce order should Queensland need it. They will be there under the banner of the White Cross and will also be setting up shelters and soup kitchens for as long as is necessary. Even in the unfortunate event that Zargathia is pulled into war, these troops will remain in the Brisbane area until their work has been completed." Several ships leave port and are making way to Australia, on board several Divisions of former Finnish Hanseatics, being the only ones with firsthand experience at working with radiation that Amyante had to offer. She genuinely hoped there wouldn't be chafe with any American workers that had been sent, or that at least the Americansd would be as professional as her own troops to work for the greater need. Immediately volunteer workers moved in, providing what medical aid they could along with food supplies. "Promised Land is even now sending workers and construction equipment to help re-build the city. We helped it re-build once, we'll do it again." And if they are true supports of Tintagyl and therefore the White Cross, why are there none attempting to contact outside influence? Why are there none attempting to get help to this country?
