[OOC]The root word is laconophilia which means someone who is an enthusiast of all things Sparta. I guessed that the word for someone who was one was "laconophiliac" but, alas, my latin fails and it is, in fact "Laconophile." So, you're half right, Mogar my latin fails.[/OOC]

Your Latin most definitely fails, as Laconophile is a Greek word. It means friend/lover of Laconians/Lacedaemonians (Laconia is the region of Greece in which Sparta was located). I know it doesn't make sense that a word which is attributed to lovers of a specific Greek society to be of Greek origin. :P I do believe laconophile was translated into Latin eventually, but the word itself is Greek.
