  1. Don't $%&@ up, Jamie. I want to finally get a chance to build a decent warchest while in this alliance.
  2. I have a question. Why would they pick you to post this announcement? This will clearly not end well and I now fear for my warchest that I have plans of my own for.
  3. If you were hoping to deflect what he said, I'm sorry to inform you that you merely bettered his case. :|
  4. Why, because all of your favourite treaty prospects for the NPO post-term world are going to be blown to smithereens? Maybe MK will still give you guys a 30 day protectorate.
  5. Please TOP, don't have LM order NADC, NATO and TFD to attack Umbrella. Oh wait.
  6. I fart in your general direction. o/ Stumpy Divinely rightful King of Purplol
  7. Where exactly is this mild excitement?
  8. You realize that saying it's \m/'s fault for escalating it is a moral argument, don't you? Just because you didn't use the word fault doesn't mean it isn't clearly implied in the bolded sentence. If you don't want to play with mine then I don't want to play with yours. So you're basically saying that STA likes being friends with my idols, because morality means nothing to them? That's not the STA that I know, nor the STA I've grown to admire of since my time here. You can still make a moral stand contrary to their actions while defending them, they are not mutually exclusive. When you sign any treaty that involves mutual defence, then you promise to defend them regardless of stupidity (unless otherwise stipulated). It's one thing to stick by a friend that did something stupid because you promised you'd stick by them. It's another thing to stick by a friend (after all ready defending them over the stupidity) that refuses to admit what they did was stupid and doesn't regret doing it in the first place/wouldn't have qualms about doing it again. We're willing to defend PC, but I still think the tech-raid was stupid, and I have a feeling we're going to have some sort of conversation about tech-raiding after this (since we were interrupted from having one before this). And nothing more than an obligation? From my experience, an obligation is something that you feel toward someone/something that you actually give a crap about.
  9. So it's not NpO's fault because they only demanded a fight, over a situation that didn't involve them, with gloves on. It's now \m/'s fault since they decided, yet again, to not adhere to the principles that the NpO felt it was their right to impose on them and took the gloves off. Right.
  10. inorite? I laugh when my allies get attacked, too. xfd
  11. I think you missed the thank yous from the Umbrella side. They're there.
  12. I think you got the date wrong on your transcript, looks like 1984 or 1989 on the original document. This was prophesied? D: /me looks at his watch. At least you not only followed, but exceeded the established norms by giving Umbrella extra time to review this prior to update. Polaris will be pleased. Or will it, I think exceeding the norms might be bad, too, since I that's what \m/ did. This is either not appropriate or wrong, that much I can tell.
  13. At least most of the posters in this thread now know how most others feels when they read a thread posted by Grub.
  14. You know, now that I think about it, I find it odd that IRON wouldn't jump at the opportunity to join the side of a war without a CB. hmm Then again, their most recent history (Karma and WWE) shows a trend of IRON waiting as long as possible before thinking about entering a conflict, anyway. I'm sure they wouldn't want to damage that reputation.
  15. I hope you let NpO know how uncool they are, too. Someone beat me to it. I should refresh more. :<
  16. While it is sad to see our ally at war with STA, and STA on that side of the conflict in general, I do still like that flag. Best of luck to you both. Slightly more to CSN, though.
  17. The proper protocols have been violated? Who will police the protocols while the NpO is preoccupied. D: Take up the sword! Anyway, DoWs normally go up a few minutes prior to actually attacking, and alliances shouldn't have to postpone their plans due to the fact that the planet's communication network is temporarily down due to upgrading. They posted one on their own site, and probably on their wiki, then attacked in-game. If NSO didn't notice, then :<. Noticing the DoW on the OWF probably wouldn't have given them much extra time to do anything, either. A couple of them may have logged in to their nations to check, but they should've been prepared for counters regardless. Also:
  18. What are you talking about? Did you read the OP? I didn't.
  19. Is this an official question from the Big Top Order? Also, interesting. I joined 2 months after this and I hadn't heard about this before. Anyway, it's quite obvious that we need police in this world. Who else will take an eye from someone who took the eye of another after he had been forgiven by his victim?
  20. I'm not a tech-raider and I've never tech-raided and I don't agree with it at all. Not everyone here is playing it both ways. I think this whole tech-raid was ridiculously stupid, but I think Grub's response is equally as stupid. Who's to say that PC and \m/'s allies wouldn't talk to them about this if Grub didn't parachute in like James Bond with his license to kill? Sure, we didn't try to drop them on the spot like NpO attempted to do with GOONS, but who's NpO to tell us how to deal with our allies, aside from threatening them on top of it? Most of the people that were chest thumping earlier in this thread, which I didn't read at all aside from the OP, were non-governmental members of the tech-raiding alliances. The people calling NpO's actions stupid aren't the same people, I believe. +1 insightful So many people indeed.
