KINGDOM OF INDIA

320px-Flag_of_India.svg.png

With the fall of the Indian government, a royal prince, Kanaka Palan, made a valorous and nearly impossible attempt to hold together the Indian government and her lands. Unfortunately the civil government crumbled and unrest swept the nation.  Prince Kanaka Palan assembled civil and military leaders in New Delhi to formalize a new government for a new India. The Great 20 meetings (20 civil and military leaders) unanimously appointed Kanaka Palan as the King of the Indian Kingdom. He would be charged with formulating an executive government that was to be given the consent by the newly elected unicameral General Assembly.

HIGHLY CLASSIFIED:

Seeing that members of the international community have all expressed interest in occupying more and more lands, and taking over control over vital waterway trade routes, Magistrate of Defense Prince Jafar has ordered the following naval units to deploy to their assigned areas of operations mainly to conduct regular patrols and maintain control over the Indian Ocean.

Carrier Strike Group 1: Bay of Senegal

Carrier Strike Group 2: Arabian Sea

Carrier Strike Group 3: Laccadive Sea

Carrier Strike Group 4: Indian Ocean

Carrier Strike Group 5: Pacific Ocean

PUBLIC:

King Kanaka Palan has called upon all countries to work collectively and not unilaterally in ensuring international waterways are free to transit by commercial and military ships. His Royal Highness specifically called upon Italy and France to not hinder military transit in the Mediterranean and that any interference given to the Indian Naval Force deployed there would be met with harsh resistance. He also called upon the Red Sea Republic and the Kingdom of Axum to continue to allow the free transit of commercial shipping in the Suez Canal and to not attempt to hinder Indian naval warships from crossing it as it is the only reasonable way for the Kingdom to access the Mediterranean Sea.

HIGHLY CLASSIFIED:

Carrier Strike Group 7 is ordered to deploy to the Indian Ocean to conduct live-fire exercises. All surrounding countries' governments would be notified of the drills.

Expeditionary Strike Group 2 is to deploy to the Gulf of Thailand.

With the Indian ESG 2 having to pass through the Strait of Malacca one of the most important waterways on Easrth and with Chinese Fleet units patrolling the area in the South china Sea as far South as the nine-dotted line went, the Chinese Admiralty would send a message to India, just to inquire about what their fleet units were doing near Thailand and Indochina. Given recent hostilities with Japan, such a move raised eyebrows in the Republic of China Navy.

PUBLIC:

The Kingdom of India condemns the recent attacks on the Philippines, however we urge all nations to seek out diplomacy first before turning to the nuclear arsenal.

Seeing that many nations in the Pacific have allowed their annexations of surrounding territories to lead to nuclear war, King Kanaka Palan has instituted the Indy-Pacific Peace Doctrine. This gives the Kingdom the legal right to actively protect lands in the Indian Ocean and to prevent Pacific nations from annexing any of the lands. It also allows the Kingdom to establish protectorates over Indian and Pacific lands, however India may not annex them.

HIGHLY CLASSIFIED:

With total nuclear war occurring in the Pacific, King Kanaka Palan has called an emergency meeting of the Executive Cabinet. Princess Dharma, Chief Magistrate has suggested several options that the Kingdom of India could take. Ultimately the King has decided to not take any direct military action, and instead take defensive measures.

The Ministry of Defense is to raise the Armed Forces Alert Status (AFAS) to BRAVO and raise the nuclear alert readiness to the maximum but to only fire if India comes under direct attack. The Kingdom's airspace has been closed and is to be patrolled by F-22 and B-2 aircraft, along with AWACs. The Navy has been instructed to increase ASW actions in the waters surrounding mainland India by both air and sea.

The 1st and 2nd Infantry Divisions have been ordered to annex Bangladesh and Bhutan with assistance from the 1st Armored Division. The 3rd and 4th Infantry Divisions are to annex Nepal. Carrier Strike Group 1 along with 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force would be ordered to annex the Andaman/Nicobar Islands. After all the lands were annexed, immediate elections would be held to elect regional parliaments and governor-generals.

The Kingdom of India has established a protectorate over Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Singapore. This would be called the Holy Pacific Imperium. While these lands would not be annexed into India, the naval forces in the region would be ordered to protect them from foreign invasion and army units would be deployed to the region to provide security for the local populace.

TOP SECRET --- COMPARTMENTALIZED:

Trident Air Defense System

TADS is a mobile Air and Missile Defense System that is easily transportable, tactically mobile and uses the hit-to-kill PAC-3 MSE Missile to defeat tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles and aircraft, providing full 360-degree engagement. Because it has no blind spots against the evolving threat and offers improved range, interoperability and mobility, TADS improves capability to defend troops, friends and allies in critical areas around the globe.

TADS will provide an open architecture for 21st century air and missile defense system-of-system integration capabilities that allow operational mission-tailoring. TADS defends up to 8 times the coverage area of other systems but uses far fewer system assets. This allows for a substantial reduction in deployed personnel and equipment, and reduces demand for airlift.

Truck-mounted TADS elements drive or roll on and off C-130 and A400M transport aircraft so they can quickly be deployed to a theater of operations. TADS reduces demand for airlift and gets into the theater faster, to begin defending sooner. The minimum TADS engagement capability requires only one launcher, one battle manager, and one fire control radar to provide 360-degree defense of troops or critical assets. As more system elements arrive, they automatically and seamlessly join the TADS network and build out capability.

The TADS air and missile defense system is composed of five major equipment items:

  • Multifunction Fire Control Radar
  • Surveillance Radar
  • Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (BMC4I) Tactical Operations Center (TOC)
  • Launcher and Reloader
  • Certified Missile Round (PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement and canister

In the BMC4I TOC, plug-and-fight flexibility lets TADS exchange data with non-TADS sensors and shooters. The same capability lets TADS move with ground forces and inter operate with allied forces. Through interoperability features designed into the system, TADS will dramatically improve combat effectiveness and situational awareness, reducing the potential for fratricide. TADS system elements can seamlessly integrate into each nation’s combat architecture as required.

Units can be dispersed over a wide area. Command and control of launchers and missiles can be handed over to a neighboring battle management unit while the initial systems are moved, maintaining maneuver force protection. Plug-and-fight connectivity lets TADS elements attach to and detach from the network at will, with no requirement to shut the system down. The TADS plug-and-fight capability enables command and control over other air and missile defense system elements through open, non-proprietary standardized interfaces. TADS implements a unique ability to work with secondary missile systems if selected, and to evolve as other capabilities are developed.
