I'm still pretty confident the numbers were not down to 30K then, I know there was a huge drop after the UjW. Going off of the nationcount template on the wiki which is updated every once in awhile and which you can see the history of: On January 5, 2007 there were 33,606 nations. On Feburary 10, 2007 there were 37,196 nations. On April 24, 2007 there were 36,409 nations which was during Great War III.
