Drai
Here's FAN and here's NATO I'd say new members aside FAN won today fairly handily, so I'm glad to see they edged NATO by 0.02 despite having ~30k NS less from applicants. Petrovich4
Ohhh I love races - this is going to be close B) I like the idea of a 24hr skirmish btw us and NATO. For example, which alliance can deal the most anarchies to their opponents; make their opponents lose more infra and tech compared to their own (alliance wide), total alliance soldiers killed, etc etc...we can be as creative as we want Congrats MK on getting back into the Top

Tristan returning was part of NATO Season 6: Destiny Found, where most of the old cast mates come back (he was a NATO member for a very long time before heading off to VN). So, yeah, getting beat despite the return shows just how well FAN is growing naturally, and sadly I doubt there will be a third day. But my avatar believes in it, and I rarely fight with her... I'm not blaming NATO or anything. Obviously you accept any applicants you have if they're in good standing. I would just hate to see the race be decided by new members so I'm glad to see that natural growth was the deciding factor yesterday regardless of an advantage in the applicants' NS. Drai
Well depending on when Gopher comes around I'd say FAN has probably won this. 0.25 to 0.02 right now in their favour. Congrats to both alliances regardless of any score changes before update though, to go that long without losing score is quite something. Non-Federation of Armed Nations-related Commentary The Order Of The Paradox continues to lead the race, harbouring a three-point lead over the Mostly Harmless Alliance, which still remains in second place. The (+1) New Polar Order remains half a point away from moving to the silver medal position, one point ahead of Sparta, who in turn is less than three points ahead of the Independent Republic Of Orange Nations. Altogether, only seven and a half points separate first and fifth. The New Pacific Order must have been doubling its recruiting efforts lately, gaining nine nations for a quarter-point to just barely take today's Biggest Gainer prize, and closing to within a point of Fark. The Green Protection Agency and the Mushroom Kingdom both end up in the losing column today; the latter staying with the sanctioned alliances because they weren't fully *passed* by The Order Of Light. Tier Two sees a couple of notable moves; first with the United Purple Nations gaining an amazing thirteen nations for a quarter-point gain, landing them roughly that same distance back of the Commonwealth Of Sovereign Nations. Meanwhile, The Grämlins and Athens head halfway towards a collision, thanks to a large loss thanks to the former, and a double-digit gain on the part of the latter. Federation of Armed Nations-related Commentary Since the Federation of Armed Nations did so much stuff on the same day, I thought I'd just make it easier on everyone if they just had their own section. First of all, the Federation of Armed Nations is now blessed with square brackets, and no longer have to deal with the shame of an italicized name. A gain of two nations thanks to some movement from their applicant AA gives the Federation of Armed Nations the magic number of 200 nations for them to be eligible for a sanction. Only ten alliances need to choke before the yellow team gets some bold tags! Second, the Federation of Armed Nations makes use of an amazing opportunity to pass three alliances - Nueva Vida, the We Are Perth Army, and M*A*S*H - and almost manages to get the better of the North Atlantic Defense Coalition as well. The New Sith Order and Invicta should both keep an eye in their rear-view mirror, as both alliances have less than two-fifths of a point to spare. Third, the Federation of Armed Nations almost manages to take home a Biggest Gainer prize thanks to a quarter-point gain, only to be blocked by their rivals on the red team - the New Pacific Order - to the tune of one one-hundredth of a point. And yes, this quarter-point is far more than what was gained by NATO tonight, so I'd say that the Federation of Armed Nations still have a reason to celebrate. ---------- Related Links: Stats By Unspeakable Evil Tournament Edition Sanction Race How To Update the Amazing Sanction Race Sanction Race Update Creator spreadsheet: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pFd...rmXWQ&hl=en [/update]
