Jesus guys, FAN barely plays cybernations anymore. We play a few games actively now, and CN surely isn't one of them. Hell, two thirds of FAN's old guard don't play anymore. We were bored, war started, so we said to hell with peace lets return to the old days, when CN was fun. So we attacked NPO to escalate this war to a more fun level. Who else would you expect us to attack, GPA? Unfortunately NPO saw fit to call in their TPF dogs to defend them, even though we planned this as a nice even fight, where nobody could claim the fight was over before it began, but was entirely based on skill and activity. NATO is more effective, however, of the two. We always wanted to fight them, and we are happy to have the chance, good luck. As to the treaty thing, those who know, know that we could have requested their aid, but it's not what we wanted. We wanted some fun in a rapidly declining game, nothing more.

Guys, I'm thinking you don't seem to understand how FAN works. Periodically the issue is raised of blowing something up, much like the majority of alliances I expect. However with us, 99% of the time it's NPO. This group commands a majority in FAN, but a minority in the cooler heads of .gov. We weren't ready for the longest time, and we sure as hell aren't going to jump NPO during or right after reps ended. Fact is, I'd be willing to bet that at some point, either someone from FAN approached Doomhouse or vice versa, and asked something along the lines of "We're invading the NPO, you guys want in?" And given the way most of FAN feels about this game, the way we feel about the NPO, if I were in .gov, I'd be hard pressed not to at least lay down contingency plans in case a good opportunity came up. And so here we are. I know for me, the possibility of this war is the only reason I'm still here. To rain every nuke I can lay hands on down on the NPO. I don't hate the NPO, it's simply that we didn't have the power to defend ourselves from the horde that came to us, so we simply had to delay our counterattack.

Indeed this is no attempt to destroy MFO, or really do much more than singe it, I'd expect. (Well except that one guy with a 600K warchest, but that's own fault) We are simply carrying out a measured police action to reiterate to the community FAN's policy on defending itself. That an 1100+ day old nation did this is evidence of one of two things. A) He thought there would be no response. B) This is part of a larger plan to prod us and gauge our response. Both cases demand the same response, and that is what they have earned.

[/quote] Well, given the facts, we cannot even assume that this is the only such attack, given the 50% chance of being caught. So in that case, that makes this a terrorist attack but ~15% of the aggressor alliance, in this case MFO. That's proportional to MHA attacking with 100 nations to use a sanctioned alliance for comparison. What sort of response can you expect when a significant percentage of an alliance commits an unprovoked attack upon a neutral party? Sounds like Pearl Harbour to me.
