He would also like to point out that the citizens would not need to heal if the Floridan Air Force did not bomb their own city. First, if they can give foreign nations money, why can't they buy medical supplies for thier own citizens? The money would be of a greater use there. Second, this money is being offered to us because we offered help to people bombed by their own government. Their mission was simple, monitor the war in America and withdraw the Slavorussian diplomatic envoys in the effected areas. [/quote] The government of Pravus Ingruo asks that the Namibian Supreme Leader actually acquaint themselves with the reasons for this conflict before weighing in. First, the state of Florida was not "freed", just as none of the other states were "freed". The state governors and legislatures were each given a choice: they could remain with the Empire after the coup, or they could embark on a path of self-governance until such time that a new government arose from within the state, or states. Every state except New York chose the path of self-governance. However, when the announcement was made, Potentate Harland clearly stated that the former states of the Empire would be protected from outside threats, aggression, and attempts to take them over. These former people of Khalistan clearly represent such an outside threat. Further, they attempted to misrepresent themselves as former governors and ambassadors of Pravus Ingruo, something they clearly are not. The government is not one that the people chose, and it never has been. They are self-appointed foreign rulers. The people of Florida never had any say in the appointment of such a "King". It was a local news van, and from what Whelen could tell, a satellite truck. The reporter and camera man both came out as the troops approached. "Jack Harris, Channel 4 news. Can we tag along inside?" Whelen turned to his Sergeant. "That a satellite truck, son?" The normally gruff Sergeant looked at the reporter. "Yessir." "Then link up and get this broadcast set to head out to the world. We'll be going live. Catch up with us once you're up." The Harris nodded and the troops moved up. They went apartment to apartment, knocking on doors and entering, helping people where they could, letting them know where evacuation centers were located. Planes were still flying out of Miami International, and military transports would be heading out of the base soon. Ground forces were broadcasting these in the street, bu troops were tasked with letting people know as well. The soldiers were just about to move in to another room when the TV crew showed up again. As they entered, they saw a man who was trapped under what had been his ceiling. Running up, the troops immediately began administering first aid to the man and tried to clear the rubble. As they moved around him and the TV crew came in, the man began to stir. "My wife... my daughter..." "There's other people here! Fan out and search the apartment!" The troops moved out to search but could not find any evidence of either person. They could only assume they had been crushed under the collapsing ceiling as well. They came back over to help, but it was clear the man was already on his way out. "Why... why did they bomb us? Why are they here?" The man choked out the words as he looked at the Sergeant and the reporter. "Peace... peace was here before they came. Why bomb us... why..." The man's eyes closed and he passed away. The reporter nodded to his cameraman, who continued to film the apartment and the destruction. ============================================================== There were a number of cruise ships docked at Melborne and Miami. Each cruise ship would be loaded to the max with people who wanted to escape before heading south for Cuba. Foreign dignitaries and civilians were told of this, and asked to get to the ships as soon as possible. ============================================================== At Fort Central, Predator drones were launched and began circling over the city. Intelligence agents were working frantically to trace the transmissions by the "government". Should the source of those transmissions be found, a Predator drone strike would commence, in the hopes of cutting off the head of the "regime" once and for all. When it was heard that Orlando would be bombed in two hours, troops were ordered to direct citizens to Fort Central if they could make it. If not, they were ordered to take shelter in basements or structurally reinforced buildings. As the 170 tanks moved into Orlando, they were met by missiles from Predator drones and large groupings of tanks were marked with lasers. Those laser-marked tanks would be transmitted to the 1st Fleet, who would fire cruise missiles at those tanks. ============================================================== [b]Imperial Statement[/b] The foreign government has shown complete and utter disregard for human life in Miami, where thousands of innocent civilians have been killed. Now, they threaten to bomb Orlando in two hours. This blatant use of terrorism to stop our liberation campaign will not succeed. Further, all civilians and foreign dignitaries who wish to flee can do so at Melborne and Miami. There are more than a dozen cruise ships at each port waiting to transport citizens to Cuba.
