  1. Seeing as we had been declaring war, it made sense to post this. Have fun out there, Umbrella. LOL nice edit Zer. Also I mean to quote the TOP post about lapdogs showing RnR why they didn't need to come out of PM, but I didn't, and I'm lazy enough in all matters not to bother now.
  2. If you Don't drop the IRON treaty, then they probably didn't really fail.
  3. I know what you mean. I'm just saying that for this year, NPO's team fell far worse. Very top in January to near the bottom in their handling of Anti-BIBO, precisely getting the short term gain for a long term loss you describe, only they thought they were also getting the long term gain. Therefore, most bungled diplomacy has to go to them.
  4. Somehow I've heard this phrase used in my real life multiple times in the past few weeks, but meant in all seriousness and as a total legit complement.
  5. As much as people can say about IRON's diplo team, we'll really have to wait and see. So far they're engaged on the winning side of a large war taking minimal damage. The results of their diplo team's recent work may or may not manifest. Meanwhile, early in the year NPO was Leading the world's crusade and seemed to be tops in most categories. To go from that to the very bottom is a better example of failed diplomacy at this juncture.
  6. Thank you, and thank admin that there are threads like this mixed in with the hundreds of Rank This thread/polls. Re the post, it's all semantics and it doesn't matter. You could say both sides are correct. I agree fundamentally and would tend to think of white peace as both sides just calling it a day and stopping their fighting with no other terms or concessions involved. It's still correct, however, if two alliances agree to stop fighting each other, to say they made a white peace with one another. Now, one side may still impose on the other that they cannot re-enter the global war elsewhere. This doesn't take away from the white peace between the respective alliances, so the term in my mind is still okay if people want to call it that. I hope this isn't an issue for me, though. When I win, I want people to say they lost and will be happy to keep squeezing until they do. If they don't believe they have lost, then they haven't lost. It is then my job to prove it to them. Therefore, I don't like using the term "white peace" at all. I'd rather say "X surrenders to Umbrella and will refrain from aiding, militarily or financially, any alliances currently at war." It fits the CN definition of white peace in the sense that we'll no longer fight each other and we don't have to pay each other and we don't have to delete lumber camps and barracks, and all that jazz, but I like to see people squirm at least enough to admit what utter failures they were by my hand. :)
  7. You're posting the Methax side of DBDC!
  8. Personally I'd rather pre-empt obvious counters before allowing them into PM to declare on their own terms.
  9. I opened this thread expecting 1-2 pages in response to the horrendous OP. How in the world anyone can give a shit thread this kind of attention, I just don't know.
  10. Next we should see the flower unfurled in an animation of declarations and counter-declarations.
  11. just mine because in three years i'll have no idea what equilibrium stands for, especially since all it accomplished was to make the rich richer and the poor poorer (relatively).
  12. Order on/upon Order is winning, it's just the pollmaster put in two brothers that steal each others' votes. Not that I like the name, since I can't remember what they stand for unless the name is descriptive or a great war (simpler times). I.E., Unjust War is easy to remember because the name tells the characters. BiPolar helps me remember because Polar be crazy once upon a time. Karma, I know what that's about. Dave, helps me remember what started it. Anti-BIBO, same reason. The others blend together. This one, Disorder I will forget. OuO/OoO I'm not going to remember. I'd remember something like pre-empt the plotters or whatnot, but that's not a good name for a war.
  13. Thank Admin, at least this wasn't a blog.
  14. Anyone think it looks like a butt? It looks like a butt to me. LOL DBDC.
  15. And to mention the other point made, that the OWF has become too scary a place to post anymore, that it is filled with vindictiveness and wasteful propaganda, that blogs offer a refuge and save haven from this cruel cruel world: The OWF is what you make of it. If you don't like it, CHANGE it. It is what you make of it, o ye valiant posters and content creators. You don't improve a situation by running from it.
  16. Ouo and ooo are stealing from one another.
  17. You misunderstand. I don't want to see best x or worst y in the OWF either but currently many good topics that could spark more community involvement are in blogs, leaving the stupid best x topics in the OWF. And yes I am lazy an don't want to Search for good posts. I shouldn't have to. The forum is organized. I can find topics easily. Blogs are not.
  18. The argument that people are "kinder" on blogs and that you can be more personal doesn't hold water. Rush's last umpteen blogs have been his "judgments" on the top eighty alliances. That's the perfect fodder for the OWF, and it then invites people to issue their own judgments. And from the very word, you can tell that some alliances will be considered filth, and some angels. The harshness level is the same here or there. And I've seen plenty of comments that equal those seen on the OWF. Sure, you may feel more comfortable discussing "your opinion" on some matter that you feel isn't objective enough for the OWF, but then that leaves this forum as the home for twelve different "nominations for best or worst x," "voting for best or worst y," threads, and you lose the personalization that should exist here. jerdge's post wondering about why people chain like dominoes should be an OWF discussion. Rush's Judgments should be an OWF discussion. Anything Schattenmann posts (if he is posting blogs) should be where the public can more easily find it (I obviously haven't searched for anything that doesn't just show up on the top list). People updating their own various war or alliance stats should be posting that in the OWF. Vladimir's posts WERE in the OWF, or the academic sub-forum.
  19. Don't worry, we noticed all the people trying to leave us out on the battlefield, too. Again, I appreciated every soul in that fight with us, but just because you were an ally of an ally and couldn't leave your true friends to fight alone doesn't make me beholden to you for your sacrifice.
  20. Stevie B definitely the most frustrating opponent to face for a long while.
  21. To GATO: Yes, I very much appreciated your role in our coalition in the anti-BIBO war. Every single alliance was a great help, and it was great fun "losing" the war in the style that we did. That said, you are in an enemy coalition, and you are having free reign in the upper tier. We had to help out. Beyond that, you did not fight for Umbrella, per se, you fought for your partners in C&G. And if we were beholden to every alliance that has ever fought for us, for allies of allies or allies of allies of allies ad infinitum, we would never face war at all.
