  1. Private Kingdom of Hanover colonization would begin when 20,000 Hanover Soldiers were sent to the region of(Unclaimed) Spain to claim it as a protectorate until further notice. The future plans for the nation were simple, really: Add the land to the kingdom later, protect and assist for now. In other words, Spain was a gateway to assist in the protecting lands all across the continent.

He organized the entire government, established law and order, made the nation into an economic powerhouse, and defeated the Islamic Republic, a terrorist organization which bombed Fenway Park and attempted to destroy Old Plymouth. He also past Act 27, more commonly known as the Gun Rights Act, which would later be passed as the 9th Amendment on the Constitution of 1940, the Massachusetts constitution in use today. Although some parts of his administration are up to debate, he is a founding father of Massachusetts, one of the greatest presidents we have ever had, and practically carved the nation with his own hands. 2: Maurice J. Tobin(6-9) VP: Ora Knight -The Tobin Administration has been one of controversy, debate, and mixed emotions. Not only did the Tobin Administration make many lousy, sloppy actions, but they also undermined the Coolidge Administration, thus causing both administrations to be subject to debate. Although Tobin's mandate begun with the democrats in power, him being a celebrity, and them successfully altering anything they felt necessary, he was defeated by a joint collaboration between the republicans and the harborcrats. Tobin began to spread propaganda nullifying the harborcrats and their movements to establish an american society. His administration ended in just three years, as well as three years early, following the Massachusetts Declaration of War Against the Communist States of America, an order which he fulfilled without consent and approval from congress, an unconstitutional act which called for special elections to take place in one year. His final major action besides launching multiple attacks on Communist soil, was approving Act 62, more commonly known as the Coolidge Rules Act. It is known this because it was a government structure proposed five years ago by the Coolidge Administration. 3: Calvin Coolidge(10) VP: Percival Proctor Baxter -Following the special elections in 8 ACI, former Republican President Calvin Coolidge returned to the office now under the American Party in 10 ACI. The second Coolidge Administration was cut short after 97 days in the Executive's Mansion when Coolidge was hospitalized with coronary thrombosis. Five days later, Coolidge was announced dead and Percival Proctor Baxter assumed the Presidency for the remainder of the Coolidge term. The only significant act he passed was Act 80, also called the Parliament Act, because it called for dissolution of Congress, however while hospitalized, he also passed Act 83, calling for new uniforms for the military. 4: Percival Proctor Baxter(10-14) VP: Malcolm Nichols -The Baxter Administration, the first from Maine and first to be seated in Chaplain, was thought to be able to compete even with the successes of their predecessor, Calvin Coolidge, quickly ran downhill into a failure. He was most known as the "Amender," because he was the only president to add 2 amendments to the Constitution of 1940. His Mandate was plagued by war, with the Blockade of Cuba, War on Terrorism, and the Two Years' War. Peace talks prepared by Coolidge failed under Baxter, and the war only escalated. Plans to lower inflation made by Coolidge fell through Baxter's fingers. He did, however, make the Coolidge Rules Act an amendment, as well as passing the Second Act of Parliament, and turning the 2 acts into 1 singular amendment. Shortly after this time, IRIM launched its first attack in nearly 10 years against Massachusetts, launching the Massachusetts War on Terrorism. When it was time for Percival Proctor Baxter to run for reelection, the American Party refused to nominate him for election and instead chose a new candidate to run for the Americans following the only president that truly got nothing done. Secretaries of State of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts 1: Malcolm Nichols(10) -Malcolm Nichols is the former Mayor of Boston, a former Harborcratic Activist, and currently on the American Party Board. Shortly after the Commonwealth of Massachusetts was founded, Malcolm Nichols, along with several others, formed the Harbor Party which, after about a year, began to have major success in the political field and would soon compete with the Republican and Democratic Parties. Nichols was elected to the position of Secretary of the Interior in 3 ACI, and served there until 7 ACI. In 6 ACI he ran for President in 6 ACI to no avail. In 8 ACI, the Republican and Harborcratic parties merged to form the American Party, where Malcolm Nichols currently sits on its Board. Nichols left the position of Secretary of State following his promotion to Vice President, following the death of President Coolidge. 2: Edward Paul Revere(10-14) Point Distribution(OOC) Tech: 150 for 1940 Army: 200 for 2,000,000 Artillery: 25 for 7,500 Air Force: 100 for 10,000 Navy: 100(5 for 10 Destroyers, 10 for 10 Cruisers, 15 for 5 Battlecruisers, 20 for 4 Battleships, 10 for 1 Carrier, 20 for 10 Seaplane Tender, 20 for 60 Submarines) Industry: 200
  3. Ireland would recieve a short letter from Boston, Massachusetts.
  4. Public It was on that day that Prince of Hanover Augustas I woulf address the independent state in front of the entire city of Hanover. His speach would include statements such as- "We have great potential here in Germany, and why not take advantage of it? We are a nation, not a province. Lets work together, bring Autocracy back into the world." "You know, those ancient leaders had the world right. They, well, they conquered, but more importantly, they faught. If someone did something they did not like, they did not sit and say it was ok, they demanded a stop to it. They demanded change. But the difference back then were the people: They believed that if one had power, he had to be eliminated, and these mens lives were shortened." And it was, once again, on that day, that Augustas I would form, or reform for that matter, the Kingdom of Hanover. Ruled by the Prince at the time, he would soon become King, and then have children who would grow up to take over for him. His beliefs were very much believed by the Hanovian peoples as well, and they clapped at the end of Prince's speech. Private On horseback, a servant took deliveries of letters and goodies to the Prince in hopes that he would appreciate them. The question that they wondered was who were these things from? Why? The nation would begin private operations by going and sending 4,000 soldiers to the Azores islands in hopes to protect them, and soon add them to the lands of the Hanover Empire. After discovering that there are active operations already being held by Northlands, troops would quickly be removed from the island.
  5. Sorry for the inconvienence, this shall be the final time. Due to my most recent request being already claimed and denied for my claiming, that claim is out of the boat, and into the water. Instead, my final roll shall be into Europe, where I and Ty/Californian have come to an agreement to where I get the following land under the name of "Kingdom of Hanover."
  6. A letter would be sent to the government of the Ottoman Empire.
  7. Public -With the war beginning, Bohemia would also aim to appeal to the "less destructive" actions.Wenceslaus would send out construction workers to build more buidings in the capital of Prague. The buildings would aim to have a more medieval feel. -Wenceslaus would also give housing to those currently out of a home in the nation. This made these people be very happy with the king, who was delighted to be of assistance. -The land that is rightfully Bohemian should not be taken away from them. women and children were put in the basements of there homes as the men would go to fight with Wenceslaus V. -When families talked about the war with Alvonia, many would say that Alvonia were full of rat people, whie this nation was a beautiful nation that all Freedom, peace. Some other families said that Bohemia was a nation of a real-life wonderland, while Alvonia was not where you wanted to be. Private Preperations for war had been taken, and the Good King slept well the night before, assured of the nations safety. When he woke up, he would do the usual:Walk up to the water, take some, cook some breakfast, go out and check up on the families, then meet up with his commanders and discuss options. The nation had already offered Alvonia to move operations, but would they answer yes?
  8. Bohemia would never back down. They would send 5,000 soldiers to protect the borders of the independent state. Guards of the palace would be on high alert for any non-Bohemian troops. The position of the state was simple: Protect what was theirs. They would not allow anyone into the state and positions were set to DEFCON 1. The king would be protected under all costs and would he would fight for his nation. A message would be sent to Alvonia.
  9. Lands previously mentioned are now disputed because Markus can't give away any land, apparently.
  10. It was on one rainy day, that a man would walk. Usually, he stayed in his bedroom and drew as he was a man very much into cartography. He drew maps of a land once lost, but recovered. He would then draw beautiful pictures of his ancestors. He lived in the building that they were worshiped in centuries ago. Wenceslaus V was his name. And before, his fathers ruled the great nation of Bohemia before it ceased to exist due to unfortunate conditions. This man had just turned 25 and had wasted those years sitting in a medieval castle in Alvonia. The new good king had risen, and he too was Wenceslaus. The man would wear a knights armor and ride a horse through the kingdom. He would be sure that his nation remained honoring his fathers and there fathers. He would rally his citizens and march on through valleys, though trenches, through the roughest places in Europe until his people gained independence. It was here that Wenceslaus V declared the Kingdom of Bohemia, as re-formed. His assistants would come straight from the people. They would be servants and knights, scientists and scribes. They would chart the wars and they would make the new weapons. It was then that Wenceslaus woke up and realized that his lands were also part of Alvonia, and that in no way was Alvonia going to allow them to take some of there land. But as a Wenceslaus, he did not care. He would fight if they wanted him to. We would win. Wenceslaus then got writing. He wrote letters to the modern nations across Europe.
  11. Please remove Bolivia from the map. But don't worry, we're still friends! Please add Bohemia with these states of the Czech Republic- If some of this is taken, we will dispute for it. If all is taken, then consider us a partially-recognised state. DoE coming soon.
  12. I know, i know, crazy Ferdinand. But as i said, the font on the map is going to drive me crazy, the sketchy look of the main post will too. For font on the main post, base it all off the CNRP2 OP. In the protectorates and nations, sort them into continents with the continents in bold. See what i mean? It does not have to be changed, I just thought why not. Of course, it is all up to you, but I guess a but like this: Cybernations Roleplay "1940" The Setting The year doesn't matter; we'd never all agree on a timeline anyway so you might as well use 19XX. The only common history is that World War I happened to some degree, except it ended in a white peace of some kind. The technology years range from 1935 to 1940. This will be detailed more in the rules. Starting a Nation There are three ways to start a nation. - The first is to find white space that is not labelled as a protectorate, and request a portion of land. - The second way is to find a protectorate and either request it of them private message its owner (there is a list of protectorate owners below) or find them in our Coldfront channel, #cnrp2. - You may also make a post in this map thread asking if there is any significant land. There is a rare occasion that someone will grant you a piece of their own (coloured) land, but this is, like I said, rare. (Thank you CNRP2 Rule Thread) Oversea Territories (colonies) are allowed when establishing one's nation, but will be limited. List of Nations & Protectorates Nations Spoiler Protectorates Spoiler The Rules Section 1: Points & National Strength Players start with 80 points. If dividing a number which enters decimals, round down. Tech: Each point invested in the Tech category results in gaining one more year of available tech. You start with zero points invested, and access to 1935 tech. Invest four points and you get 1940 tech. Your tech year gives you access to whatever entered production that year. Minor customization, such as switching out the AA armament on a ship, or mounting an AT gun on a truck, is allowed. Army: Each point invested in the Army category results in gaining Corps of 45,000 soldiers, or equivalent of armour and/or artillery. Air Force: Each point invested in the Air Force category results in gaining one squadron of 12 aircraft, of either fighter or bomber type. Navy: Each point invested in the Navy category results in gaining access to one additional combat ship (e.g.: Destroyer, Battlecruiser), or invest two (2) points to get a Battleship, or invest four (4) points to gain a carrier. Carrier aircraft come with the carrier. Industry: It doesn't matter what your economy is, capitalist or communist, it has some measurement of strength. The number of points invested in Industry determines your nation's ability to recover. During war, your nation recovers half its industrial score in points every week. During peace, it recovers its full score. For example, if Examplestan had 5 points of industry, and lost 10 points of its army, it would take 5 RL weeks for it to fully recover during the war at a pace of 2 points a week, or only 2 RL weeks if at peace. No more than half one's points can be invested in one category. Point Investment numbers should be included in one's fact-book, for ease of reference. Section 2: Gaining Land Players may gain land by expanding into it. Land expansion is fully contestable for two (2) weeks, and the annexed land cannot be added to the map until the two weeks have been completed. Land Expansion should typically be only of provinces/states; exceptions to annex a whole country* may be asked of the GM team. Annexation requires a minimum of five (5) posts; up to three (3) additional posts may be requested by the GM as a team should the territory be considered large. *This would be most appropriate in areas such as the Balkans. All links directly related to the expansion must be included in the map thread post requesting the land, at the end of the two weeks. Section 3: The Gamemasters & Mapmaker The Mapmaker holds the position of making the map. This is a volunteer position. The Map Maker's powers are limited to the following: -Making the map; this means that it is the mapmaker's job to place the territory held by players onto the map. -Denying unreasonable claims. The mapmaker may decline claims of excessive starting size (for example, China + Tibet + Mongolia, or Germany + Poland, would be excessive starting claims). This can be overruled by the GM team. -Enforcing Section 3 through their Map Making powers. -Maintaining Updated Rules: The mapmaker must keep the rules in the thread accurate and up to date. There are three (3) GM's, who are elected for two (2) month terms. The nomination period lasts 48 hours, followed by a 48 hour election. Only players with nations may vote. Their powers are explained below: -Random Event rolls & points: Once a week the GM team may make a roll for a Random Event (Section 4). Nations targeted may opt out of the event. Nations which RP the Random Event out may earn up to 3 national points, the awarding of which must be approved by the full GM team. If a GM's nation is chosen, they are excluded from the GM team in terms of the vote. -Dispute Arbitration: The GM team pause, retcon, or make rulings on roleplays in order to create a healthier community. During a dispute, the two parties must send a PM to all involved parties, as well as the full GM team. If a GM's nation is involved, they may not rule on the matter. -Creation of Rule Polls: Alternations to rules must be made by the players. A player discussion must run for a minimum of one (1) week, after which polling options must be presented by the players. An option for the status quo must always be included in the poll. The poll runs for 48 hours. The winning option is then given to the mapmaker to be placed in the Map & Rules thread. -Removal of Players: The GM team may create a poll to remove a player. A 75% majority is needed to remove a player from the RP. Section 4: Random Events Once a week, the GM team may make two rolls: one to determine the impacted nation, and one to apply one (1) of the effects on the list. Nations targeted may opt out of the event. Nations which RP the Random Event out may earn up to 3 national points, the awarding of which must be approved by the full GM team. If a GM's nation is chosen, they are excluded from the GM team in terms of the vote. -Emergence of Counter-Government Revolutionaries -Drought/Poor Harvest -Economic Recession -Heavy Rains & Flooding -Workers' Strikes in one or more major cities -Soldiers' Strikes in one or more brigades -Assassination/death of a government official -Pandemic/Plague in one or more major cities -Large National Disaster (Earthquake, large tornadoes, etc.) -Economic/Industrial Disaster (Major mine collapses, price for specific commodity collapses, major ammunition factory explodes, etc.) Section 5: Community Drive Rules Changing the rules is up to the community. The members of the community have a voice in deciding what the rules are and how they should be applied. Members of the CNRP'40 community can post discussion threads to talk about new rules, old rules, and/or changing the rules. Polls can be posted as well, however, GM polls are the official measure of the community's desire to modify, remove, or add new rules. Special Note: To allow for a smooth start to the game, Section 5 and Section 3-3 are suspended for one (1) month, until October 9th, 2014. The goal is to make players try the new rule system out and experience it prior to offering alterations.
  13. Commonwealth of Massachusetts By the sword we seek peace, but peace only under liberty Dear nations of the world, My name is Calvin Coolidge of Massachusetts. You most likely remember me as former governor of Massachusetts. And, if you haven't heard already, the United States of America has fallen. I am coming to you all in the state house of Massachusetts, which is now an independent nation, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I have been elected as the president and will be representing them in many different ways in the years to come. Thirty former U.S counties are now considered the Commonwealth, of which are Berkshire, Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, Worcester, Middlesex, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Bristol, Plymouth, Barnstable, Dukes, Nantucket, Androscoggin, Aroostook, Cumberland, Franklin, Hancock, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Oxford, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Sagadahoc, Somerset, Waldo, Washington, and York. I understand your nation may feel uncomfortable with a former 17th and 18th century colony returning as an independent state, but we assure you nothing "bad" is to go on. I would, however, like you to know that as part as our project to influence the world, we will likely have ties to colonies or bases in nearly every continent of the planet. We do not want you to be suprised when you see men with our flag on there sleeve near your nation. Well, thank you for reading, if you have any questions feel free to send a message to Boston. By the sword we seek peace, but peace only under liberty. Sincerely, President Calvin Coolidge Commonwealth of Massachusetts The states/former counties would make up the Massachusetts area and the Maine area of the Commonwealth. These make up what was the former Massachusetts Bay Colony before they split up and went to there own. Although not claimed to begin with, Massachusetts reserves the right to claim former states of Rhode Island, Connetecuit, Vermont, or New Hampshire. It also reserves the right to lay protectorate to any land in North America, South America, North American Waters, and South American Waters. In other words, any land in the western hemisphere. In terms of the president, he will serve 5 years as president and may be re elected as many times as he wants to run. Around him will be an executive, legislative, and juducial branches who will each balance the power similar to what the United States was supposed to do. The Commonwealth hopes that your nation will welcome us to the world. OOC: Until I get a factbook, I will post my points here: Tech: 15 Army: 20 Air Force: 10 Navy: 20 Industry: 15
  14. "Sir, a new president HAS been chosen. Not to mention that by the time you voted, the vote had ended. Whatever the case, UGR is now president and Atlantic Federation is vice president. As for your offenses to our nation, we hope you realize that we are supposed to be on the same side here. Our past acts were made simply because we believed that what Saxony was doing was not colonization. If you have an issue with that you should do something about it. The problem with Tikal & Greenland is over, nothing we may do about it now."
  15. Just FYI, i have made a DoE just cause.
  16. I know, it's just me, but I know i will be annoyed with that font. If you could give it a more attractive font like Felix Textiling, That would be great. It will just drive me crazy. EDIT: Also, Massachusetts is not spelled Massachusettes. No E-S after the t's, just an s.
  17. Thanks! I am going to work on my DoE and start Rping even though right now it seems that it has not started yet. It is not going to be anything major though. Also, i would suggest in the map thread/main thread you put a basic description from a valid source maybe just a paragraph or two describing the technology and the world back in the time frame we are using for those who are not World War Buffs.
  18. May i use real names and people from the time period?
  19. I will say it a third time. Massachusetts and Maine are the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  20. Tidy Bown Man, no clue what you are talking about but to be honest i could care less. Whatever the case, thanks for the heads up though. Appreciate it.
  21. In case you are curious, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts claimes Massachusetts and Maine.
  22. Centurius may make the map as long as he continues updates. My photoshop is not working right now.
