1.
#2 is incorrect. The spies were never planted.
Can you explain why people in your own alliance (Rebirth of Gorniar) claims otherwise?
 2.
Anathema has been in the works for months. I made no attempts to spy, merely asked folk if they would be up for it.

So, Bloodfury, to answer your accusations. Yes, our original spies are in other alliances, but they aren't reporting to us because we do not condone spying.
So wait let me get the time line straight here according to your own claims. 1. You recruit people willing to spy on specific alliances. 2. You plant said people into the alliances they're supposed to spy on. 3. ??? 4. Innocent! The thing that 'proves' that you're innocent is that you claim that you didn't actually use the spies. Do I need to explain why you're not making a very solid case here?
 3.
Remarking on something unusual != an attempt to stifle free speech. Not sure what exactly you're smoking, but by all means please share some with the rest of us.
Actually you're the one that brought the free speech thing up. While I have realized that it's a hopeless cause to try and make you read the posts you respond to can you at least try to read your own?
 4.
They have taken reps before thus we are allowed to take reps now? So because they made a mistake you are allowed to do the same mistake? Yeah CSN, this will be remembered. You'll pay it back, I wouldn't be too worried.
but how will they pay back? Should someone make them pay reps?
 5.
Obviously, I am not a member of VE, but I am curious, how exactly do you know when people "pretend" to care?
I swear people in here are getting dumber every day. Read my post again.
As a proud member of the Peanut Gallery, I have the right to post wherever I choose. I was merely remarking on VE's unusually large presence in this thread, and the general attitude that they have where they act like they are actually a member of SF.
The VE members doesn't hold the same rights to free speech as you do? As a close ally to the bloc in question their presence in here makes a lot more sense than yours.
 6.
Ah, I wasn't aware, but it certainly helps explain why so many VE members are in here acting as if they somehow are a part of SF.
Since VE have to justify their presence here I can't help but wonder, what's your stake in this? Why are you here pretending to care?
 7. To be fair those stats at 700+ days strengthen his claims to being very busy with his job, car and wife+girlfriend.
 8. way to start abusing your powers right off the bat!
 9. The innocent well meaning ally act by xiao is so transparent at this point that I can't read his posts with a straight face. Which I suppose is a compliment in maroon. Every vague accusation he threw at CSN has been proven false so far. CSN were respectful enough to keep private matters where they belong when cancelling on the brain. The brain on the other hand choose to take it up on owf which backfired big time now that it seems that CSN has been nothing but courteous and very very patient during this whole affair. For the record I'm not a big CSN supporter. Not that I have anything against them I just never had any communication with them at all. The way the brain has been acting here has been truly sickening though. It'd be low to be acting like this towards your enemy, when you do this toward someone that was supposed to be your friend I don't know what to say. It seems the latest RoK cancellation will overshadow this drama though. The brains 15 minutes is almost up. Hope you enjoyed them.
 10.
Funny you pointed that one out. For one I see there FOK, Sparta, TOP and Old Guard. But then again they aren't evil, because they started to kiss MK's butt at the right time? NPO =/= Q NPO < Q Furthermore I couldn't help but noticing two NoR members simply hailing that announcement. So what was even the point you're trying to make here? That NPO wasn't forced to disband in Karma? I hope you do know that no emperor of Pacifica would sign such a thing. The reason is as simple as that.
I fail to see how any of this makes your terms in karma worse than those. I do like that you recognize MK as the big central power though. We're not a very big alliance so we need our egos stroked like that every once in a while.
 11.
Do you really believe that they're "on their way out"? I certainly don't.
Perhaps I worded that wrong. I meant that people take a crack at SF as they are leaving them. So RoK would be the one "on their way out" in my post.
 12. I feel a little bad for SF at this point. Everyone takes a crack at them on their way out.
Seriously. I feel like they've even crowded out our preemptive attack.
They know our one weakness. We die if we don't get enough attention.
 13. oh oh oh am I gonna be the first one to say it? I knew about this ages ago.
 14. I love how everyone is running with whatever the brain says here. Nobody has said anything about kicking the brain off any sphere and I very much doubt they intend to do so. So this whole discussion over where poor little brain should go to be safe from the evil CSN empire is fairly unnecessary. At least the brain keeps showing CSN over and over that they made the right call cancelling the treaty.
 15.
Needs more Swedes in the governing superstructure. Have fun missing out on that
I've been saying this for years.
 16.
While I'll grant that this thread was, perhaps, a bit more snarky than necessary, it certainly does seem that lately, Xiphosis has done quite a bit of talking on behalf of alliances he is not a member of. Perhaps Xiph has been picked as the unofficial spokesperson for his little corner of the web, and folks are playing the RAWR XIPHOSIS game a bit too freely. On the other hand, maybe Xiphosis is getting a bit big for his britches, and the elements this has directly effected don't particularly appreciate his particular brand of WINNING.
Maybe I'm giving CSN too much credit here but while I have no doubt they're a very loyal ally to GOD I think they still make their own decisions. What I think happened here, and I admit that this is purely speculation from my side, is that during the communications Xiph happened to be around either due to the fact that they'll only communicate through forums and thus used some kind of shared forum or maybe there's another reason. What I think happened though is that the brain choose to mention that because of the reputation xiph already has for being something of a puppet master. That's why they don't make any accusation of that nature on their own, they just leave the insinuation there and let the peanut gallery run with it. Maybe I'm wrong though and maybe I give CSN too much credit but I can't really picture them letting xiph make those decisions for them.
 17.
Contrary to your belief, we do. Once they're willing to talk to us, we'll be happy to talk. They haven't been. The quoted "communications issues" have been percolating long before this conflict, it seems, but nobody ever deigned to come to us to talk them out. So, since they severed their links with us, we see no reason to stick with Chestnut.
The fact that you try to make them look like GODs puppets in this thread or the fact that you thought making fun of them for some lulz from the people fighting them this war seems to imply that you actually don't hold them in very high regard. Maybe it's just one of those "maroon" things that I don't understand but to me you don't seem to act very friendly towards CSN.
 18. I wonder when people will get tired of pinning everything that happens on bob on GOD and Xiph. You'll make his ego swell even more. Nice last friendly gesture I suppose. I can't see why anyone would ever want to cancel that treaty as you clearly hold CSN in very high regard.
 19. Denial in gov? Yeah, about you guys winning this war! lol mk!
 20.
hey, i get all that. but CSN also did something wrong in the relationship. that was what i was pointing out. i never stated that the Brain did not wrong just that CSN also did wrong. also, DT did not take reps. DT paid for tech from SSSW18. please tell me how paying for tech is the same as taking reps? i know if you are Penkala, this is somehow the same but i did not think anyone else to be as stupid as Penkala is.
I wasn't claiming that CSN is blameless just that it's very understandable that they cancelled the treaty. As for reps forced tech deals is a sort of reps. Maybe not as bad as straight up giving away tech but still reps. You're also missing the main point of reps. Contrary to popular belief alliances don't get fat on reps. The gain from reps compared to ordinary tech deals is very small (100 tech/30 days and slot compared to 150 tech/30 days and slot) not to mention the logistic hassle that reps always are. No the main reason for reps is to tie up the slots of the defeated alliance to keep them from rebuilding. I'm not saying they're just as bad but the reps serve the same purpose even if they come in the form of forced tech deals. Penkalas point here was your claim that CSN will pay for this extortion in the future by being forced to pay reps translates very well to the fact that DT has taken reps before and are paying it now.
DT didn't want to do the initial 40k tech to CSN. But it was mandatory. Therefore, according to Penkala, it was extortion. See what I did there?
I don't quite see what you did there. If it was to claim that CSN taking reps is extortion nobody is arguing with you. I think Penkala said that in his very first post in this thread. Reps in their current form are extortion by definition anyway so no I don't see what you did there.
 21.
'Twas a very Maroon thing to do, in my opinion. To say we did it for-Silly me. Let me rephrase. To say I did it for 15 minutes of fame is untrue. I did it because it was funny. The rest of The Brain thought it was funny, and we decided to roll with it. I was prepared to rewrite the terms the moment LoSS glared and said no, but they didn't. They thought it was funny, too. So did DT. So did the majority of people who came across them. The Commonwealth didn't. They didn't like that we declared peace, they didn't like the way we declared peace, and they didn't like that we didn't inform them that we were declaring peace (despite us talking to Goose directly, but c'est la vie). That is their prerogative. Ultimately we did as we were asked. We went to war, and when LoSS wanted to end it, we did. We weren't asked to continue on to go to war with the Dark Templar, we were in fact told by Goose to not do so. LoSS wasn't the problem; DT was. We weren't engaged with them (save by words alone, an eternal conflagration) so we called it a day. If Xiphosis, Goose, Liz, or anyone else has a problem with that (as they clearly do) then they can come to our forums and talk it out. I, for one, won't be holding my breath.
Of course DT thought it was funny. You made fun of the people they were at war with. Doesn't seem like a very friendly thing to do to your ally if you ask me. I'm glad your alliance and DT had a good laugh at CSNs expense though. Hope it was worth the treaty. Not to say that this was the only reason for the cancellation but I can't help but think it contributed to it.
 22.
yes cuz CSN dragging the Brain and Legacy through a continued war just so CSN can extort reps, which neither the Brain nor Legacy wanted (both wanted white peace) is being a true friend. yup, CSN your truest friend only if you help them extort other alliances.
You skipped their entry into this war where they went back on their word to CSN. If the brain had just given white peace on their own their exit wouldn't have been such a big deal but they decided to take a jab at their ally on the way out for some 15 minutes of fame and a few hails from the people fighting CSN. Not a very friendly thing to do if you ask me. As for the horrible extortion it's not that bad really. Some alliances want some spoils of war. DT have proven they're not above taking some when they get the chance so it's a bit silly to demonize CSN over it.
 23.
[sarcasm]There are literally a billion things wrong with this.[/sarcasm] misreading treaty =/= illiterate because, you know, they actually had to read it to misread it.
So they argued something they didn't know anything about then. Are you trying to make the point that these people are dumb rather than illiterate? I don't see how that's better.
