1. Hello all, None of you know me. I never really shaped the world of CN in any major way (despite my best efforts). I've been playing CN since 2006. I've had a few different nations since that time. I spent a lot of time in CN in various ways - joining and being active in alliances, editing the wiki, learning the history of its politics and generally exploring this free form world. I even tried to found a few alliances. I've made a lot of friends here (though admittedly I don't speak to many anymore) and even brought some friends into the game. This community was really an online home for me in a way over these past years. Unfortunately, that is all over. I was out of the country for 3 weeks. When I returned, I found something new: a "bill avoidance penalty." Needless to say, the time I had spent away from the game resulted in my nation incurring an 8 figure debt: something that I could never hope to pay off. Call it bad planning on my part if you'd like, but new fees that amount to far greater than my savings that are added at random isn't something I had come to expect to plan for in CN. I understand that some people were frustrated with the tax collecting and bill paying strategies of war time. I understand how this new penalty could be seen as a good way to combat that. However, when the feature is used to knock a peaceful nation into hopeless debt for the crime of not logging in every day, I can't help but wonder if it's really doing its job. And in case you didn't know, when you haven't payed your bills, you can't sell infra, tech or land. I can't even take the amusing way out and fire off my nukes, as apparently the big red button is hidden under piles of electric and water bills. After all these years, my nation is doomed to go out with a whimper. Today was my last login to my nation. I don't think I'll be back to create another. I don't expect anything - I just want everyone to know what is happening and the effects of this bizarre new penalty. Toodles!
 2. Wow, I can honestly say these reps seem lighter than expected.
 3.
I hope my comrades don't take this bait. Comrades stay please don't make a single comment in this thread. It's not worth it. If they want to talk, let them address our leaders via private channels.
And the true valor of the NPO shines through.
 4.
Well this may help with the what: http://www.cybernations.net/stats_alliance_stats_custom.asp?Alliance=Ministry%20of%20Finance
Total Strength: 3 Repent! The end is nigh! This hyper power shall bring about Ragnarök!
 5. EMD War. "Everything.Must.Die." is the defining line of the DH-NPO war. Anything to do with hypocrisy is just Orders propaganda. Alliances change over time. Shouldn't apply to the PB-NpO front, though.
 6. Blocking 3 in a row is my record. Only blocked a total of 4, been hit twice.
 7. My choices: 1. Everything Must Die War - Takes the greatest tagline to come out of the conflict. Very appropriate name. 2. CN Holocaust - Not too far off, but not entirely accurate either. 3. Endgame War - Just sounds kinda cool.
 8.
If IRON and the rest of Duckroll decide to enter this war against Doomhouse in order to assist Molon Labe, it could end up you guys needing to surrender and have some of those ideas turned around on you guys if you try giving them to anyone. If they were to enter within the next few days it would be perfect timing for them to bring an end to Doomhouse's schemes of destroying everyone not allied to you guys in some manner and turning the war around in favor of those who prefer to be independent from the Super Complaints Box Cluster$%&@.
Err, great fan fiction but I don't see anyone getting magically rolled any time soon.
 9. I like how the intelligence article is the one that miscounts. Well played.
 10.
Police Clash With Protestors For Third Day Protests Turn to Riots As Parliament Prepares To Vote On Military Spending Jocelyn Price, Atlantican Press Service Rioters clash with police forces at the gates of the capitol complex. NEW LONDON, SOCIALIST ATLANTICA – Riots continue to rock the streets of the capitol city for the third day in a row over the military spending bill that MPs are scheduled to vote on tomorrow. Anti-military demonstrators have been protesting outside the capitol complex since last week, but violence broke out when The Children of the Socialist Revolution and other anti-government groups joined the rally three days ago, prompting riot police to be called in to control the crowds. Since then, thousands have been arrested and several downtown businesses have been damaged or burned down. Numerous police injuries have also been reported. “Our grandparents rose up and fought against a repressive state so that we could be free from a Military-Industrial Complex” said Mark Bloom of “Peace Out,” a major anti-war group in a speech to the angry crowd. “First our own government betrayed us by developing nuclear weapons, and now they want to build nothing but machines of war and death.” Demonstrators gather in New London to hear anti-war speakers. However, John Gains, Deputy Spokesman of the Military Cabinet, released a statement calling the new bill a “necessary evil.” “The world we live in is no longer safe, and our nation has responsibilities. Socialist Atlantica cannot afford to remain defenseless, for both our own sake and the sake of our allies” he said. Several prominent MPs of the liberal minority party disagree. “Our economy is full of wonders and great institutions,” said Michelle Knowles, of the Socialist Worker’s Party. “We still have the power to provide even more for our citizens. Instead, the coalition government wants to waste it on even more weapons.” Members of the Children of the Socialist Revolution block off a street. Protests first started when the broad military spending bill was introduced because much of its actual content is classified. However, opposition intensified with several leaked tapes of negotiations with other nations to establish foreign air force bases. Since then, other leaked documents have hinted at increased Intelligence Agency funding and more orders for anti-air weaponry and Navy ships. Several farmer’s unions and communions have also joined the demonstrations, demanding the money instead be spent on the shrinking Atlantican agriculture sector. Chants of “Farms not bombs” and “All Power to the communes” could be heard throughout the day. Groups calling for Socialistic Atlantica to get rid of its nukes march to the capitol. With no sign of the unrest, which has already caused millions in damages and shut down much of downtown in the capitol, the military is set to step in to quell the violence. It would be the first time that the military intervened in domestic affairs since the uprising that created the country. Organizers of the rally say they will turn to even more violent tactics if that happens, calling the plan “Another step towards a police state and fascism.”
11. We look forward to a prosperous partnership. The USF is in good hands.
 12. o/ C&G! Excellent DoW. I can only hope this spreads into NPO land.
 13. Bob will never be free until the Orders and Doomhouse are forcefully disbanded.
 14.
Though it is, very regrettably, too late to go back on my promise not to re-enter the war, since I am a man of my word

I know I didn't think things through. It was getting late when I signed on, after being real busy with RL for 3 days helping deal with my grandma whose mind is nearly almost gone from Alzheimers. I was tired in shock at what I saw, and just plain didn't think straight. I really do feel bad about it, and felt even worse about having to bow out. I did try to put up some fight though, as much as I could manage to muster. I honestly don't know why I didn't think to ask for aid or help. I really don't. I guess it comes down to just being tired, shocked, and human. I made a mistake that I regret. I don't know what else I can say except that I really am sorry and hope you can understand.

lol You literally have not posted on our boards since your application. In November. You consistently showed up on our inactive list for roll calls, responding only on the rare threat of getting the boot. Enjoy the Goomba List.
Based on these 3 posts, if the MK and NPO can't put aside their differences to come together and nuke Remlin, then there really is no chance for peace.
 15. Sent you a message in game.
 16.
Cool... then my opinion is a valuable as your opinion.
And I never said it wasn't. You were the one who tried to make an issue out of my not being in LSF.
Membership status doesn't matter for this topic.
Again, this is what I said. Cool.
I'm not telling you what to do...
That's literally all you've been doing.
you know what you are doing, but I give you my opinion on what you're doing. If you don't wanna hear it, then just don't listen.
Errr, okay.
Why? I do find the LSF getting incredibly confused right now.
Did the LSF $%&@ up and go to war for the wrong side? No. We went to war to defend an ally by treaty. Doesn't get much simpler (less confusing) than that.
I'm sorry if you can't stand some criticism... specially if it's just words and not bullets and bombs (which I don't see as something that may happen). I'm sorry, but I can applaud your ideals, but your current actions are not something I can applaud.
I actually laughed at this. You consider disagreement as intolerance of criticism? Wow. You're just spewing propaganda in this thread and accusing the LSF of being confused and thin-skinned. The war's over for us. I, and I imagine the rest of the LSF, really don't care what you have to say. Good luck in the war, and have fun paying all those reps.
 17. Hail Peace! Hail LSF!
Crymson, obliquely referring to any misdeeds committed by Pacifica in the past (and we did commit a few) does not change the fact that Doomhouse declared an aggressive war on us for no reason other than "everything must die". Nice try to confuse the issues, though.
There's a difference between War of Aggression and Pre-Emptive strike. But that would have been evident if you'd have read their DoW.
