1.
...You got rogued on thanks for sharing like its some sort of unheard of event...
Ah yes, Hime Themis isn't worthy of a classy reply. Might as well reply with a snide remark that shows an incredible lack of respect for one of our most eloquent and even-keeled community members.
 2.
So I was gonna make this clever joke and snide remark making this statement, but I'm just gonna ask it as a question: Is this literally 64digits with a name change?
64digits had far fewer members.
 3.
Why haven't you been deprived of your freedoms with GOONS raiding you yet? I'm sadly disappointed. Also, how in the !@#$@#$ world do you have 85 nations!? There's something very peculiar about that...
Wow, you answered your own question.
 4.
/me braces himself I have a feeling the 'changing resources every 30 days' thing is going to cause some headaches.
Why's that?
 5.
Someone (WAPA) messed with Opethian. Someone (WAPA) got rolled by MK and STA. Twice.
Okay, but...how the hell does Opethian not have an MP if he has having nukes spied away? I assume this was before MP's became an undeletable item?
 6. updateupdateupdateupdateupdate milk, cheese and butter.
 7.
Opethian used to have a problem with people spying his nukes. Of course, once he figured out who did it, it was no longer a problem.
This must be some inside joke I'm unaware of.
 8.
You seem to have a bit of Valhalla on you.
Bad Ego, think of the children!
 9.
Thats why you lot are my fav people.. PS: sell me tech. <3
I'm not one of them. There's a simple matter of applying for GOONS membership...we'll be sure to set you up with some sellers, no problem.
 10.
Oh look!!!! Such a lot of tech sellers!! Reminds me of GOONS part deux when they formed.
You act like something's changed....most of our nations are STILL of tech-selling size.
 11.
On second thought, never mind.
No, really...what was it?
 12.
Opethian's choice for his military wonder is also creepy...
Hahaha...that's awesome. Opethian just doesn't give a $%&@. Ave PPF!
 13.
This made me want to 'make up' a riddle. Can anyone guess it? The Alliance that gets it doesn't need it. The Alliance that needs it doesn't get it. The enemy that recieves it doesn't know it.
I'd say 'a sanction', but the third line doesn't really work there.
 14.
I've fought plenty of major wars as either a member of a large alliance or leader of one. Although between big wars I would rather fight an alliance on my own, then go after unaligned nations with no allies so they don't stand a chance.
That's great. Moving on....
 15.
They could always start real wars against opponents who will be able to fight back and maybe bring in some allies of their own if outnumbered, maybe these minds bent on causing destruction would put their energy towards making bigger and better wars if they weren't spending all their time hitting new nations who have yet to have the means to defend themselves or get any help. In NPO's height of power, they didn't tech raid and a lot of their allies didn't despite, but they still fought wars. They fought alliances to satisfy their thirst for war, rather than go after new nations.
We do both. That's what we do. You go rogue. That's what you do.
 16. I fully support tech raiding, although I can see your point, Dame Themis. The other side of the coin, however, is that those that appear on Bob to take part in such a thing will pack up and leave if there's no possible way to cause destruction. I'm not sure of the ratios of techraiding nations to techraid targets, but there's never going to be a balance between the two. Many nations get bored and leave without having been raided. Many unaligned nations get bored and attack other unaligned nations. How would removing the fun from the aligned nations be beneficial to our total population? At least those that are aligned have taken the proper steps to ensure their nation's protection, which means they have already involved themselves more than the typical "casual" nation ruler.
 17. Ah, Methrage....always seeking justification for his actions from any source possible. It wasn't found in the original threads, so might as well seek it elsewhere, eh?
 18.
On september 10th Gopher collected data on who moved the most tech. I doubt this is going to be much of a contest, as aid slot usage doesn't just change over night. As of September 10th 28. Mushroom Kingdom - 92 deals - $208,500,000 - 2,150 tech - 0 soldiers 46. The Order Of The Paradox - 62 deals - $211,500,000 - 650 tech - 6,000 soldiers Oh, and guess who would be beating both of you 14. Multicolored Cross-X Alliance - 165 deals - $270,000,000 - 3,750 tech - 2,000 soldiers

3. Goon Order Of Oppression Negligence And Sadism - 290 deals - $202,444,444 - 11,344 tech - 2,507 soldiers
You were saying?
 19.
Yes, nippy. As I stated in the OP, which I know you would have read if it werent so darn long, sorry, I try my best - anyway, the sequence of events: 1. Methrage gets in lots of wars. Usually him vs. the world. I do the same thing, just not so bloody often because I am a lot nicer to people, but it happens. I tech trade with him through several wars. I am threatened, I keep trading. 2. Then the stuff at MAD happened and I actually cancelled Meth's deal. 2.a. BUT a guy sheltering on my AA sent Nicholai (4 improvements no wonders never nuclear capable, not at war, and not sanctioned, unlike Methrage on every count) the last scheduled payment on his deal, and Nic accepted and sent me the tech, before I could stop them. This was on the 5th. 3. For this I was told I would have to pay, and I said I wouldnt pay. I was told, in a reasonably polite way considering, that I would be very very gone if I did not pay. 3.a I mentioned, in the very most polite tone I personally could manage, that if I was attacked it was my policy to consider myself in coalition with whoever else was fighting the attacker. I urged them to reconsider, and think of another way. 4. 2 nations hit me. This is on the 9th. 5. I declare myself in coalition, and send Methrage 4.5million with the description War Aid. The day is now the 10th. That was the first shipment from me to him since the shipment that was... no later than the 2nd of last month. Edit because of: English, how does it work? Also numerical additions and accuracy in flourish. Why are you still reading this?
What does 'a guy sheltering on your AA' mean? A ghost? A person you're providing protection for simply to keep them from being techraided? What does that mean? If you're graciously allowing someone to sit on your AA under your full knowledge, this means you're responsible for their actions, yes? Furthermore, telling NG to basically to go $%&@ themselves in the 'nicest way possible' is still telling them to go $%&@ themselves.
 20.
The reps demand was obviously for punitive reps, as it was far more than the amount of damage the aided nation - a non-nuclear nation with 4 improvements and no wonders - could possibly inflict. In punitive reparations, you demand a sum that is significant enough to actually punish the offender and prevent others from committing the same offence. This means that you take the offender's ability to pay into account; you want a sum that the offender can pay, but which will put them in some difficulty when they actually provide it. Which is what was demanded of CA. For one nation aiding Nicholai.
Ah, so I take it the 'war aid' directly to Methrage wasn't factored in, and it occurred after the discussions.
 21. GOONS has solid tech farming and trade circle programs....trust me, though...you don't want to try to join us.
 22.
Personally i think it was a mistake. Sorry bub. See 2 can do that.
No they can't.
 23.
If you want a reset, you do another SE server and I think it's too late for that. It would have worked a year or so ago. With the idea of 1 count per server. Many games do that. No more developer work, really, and players can create servers with different personalities. Yes, we sort of have that with TE, but that's a purely war based server. But.. consider this one. Allow a second account, at a cost - 10 bucks/mo Rules: Cannot trade resources, give aid. secret or otherwise. Count would jump tremendously. And there would be a huge amount of energy involved.
Sounds like a techraider's dream! I'm in. e: oh, I thought you meant the new rules for a new server. That would make sense. Who would pay 10 bucks for another account on this one? :\
 24.
You've convinced me unless its a post from Sardonic (maybe Beefspari, Timberland or Umar would be worth responding to depending on what they say), that I will stop posting any responses to posts made by GOONS, even if directed at me. I already knew you guys had low standards, so except for the few GOONS I don't consider to be idiots, make as much noise as you want in hopes that I will respond and I won't care. Also when you make posts directed at me, then you just respond to me replying or not replying with making more posts directed at me while telling me not to respond to you if I do, you get added to my block list so I don't waste my time reading your posts anymore. If you don't want to see my posts, you can go ahead and add me to yours as well. Then none of us will need to read what the other one posts. Normally I never block people, but you're the second one to make it to the list. I'd rather GOONS ignore me than follow me around in every thread that involves me with a bunch of contentless posts meant to sidetrack whatever the thread is about.
We all consider you to be an idiot, yet totally worthy of replying to! mrwuss hasn't figured out that you're incapable of deciphering complicated methods of interaction such as 'humor' or 'sarcasm', unfortunately, so most of his posts sadly bounce off you like a frisbee thrown to a blind dog. Please, by all means, keep telling us how many of us you've 'put on the block list'. Perpetuate your patheticism, son.
 25.
What's the stupid premise here? It's not stupid at all to look at the relative values involved, so far as I can see. What was demanded of the Sandwich Confederation is a sum that would be trivial for an alliance of over 250 nations to produce, that doesnt mean an alliance of 30 would find it so trivial. The math Meth (and others before him) posted just illustrates this effect of the size difference. It's not the only way to look at the situation, but it does bring out one aspect of the situation that I honestly dont think NG or their allies really appreciated when they made their demands. No matter how you slice, it a million dollars *per nation* is a significant sum, not something trivial. And the demand made of CA, while smaller in absolute terms, was three times that amount, relative to our size at the time. In relative terms, it was like demanding a little over 750 million from Non Grata. Could they pay that sum? Yes, we all know they could, and quite quickly. Just as I could have paid what was demanded of me. Would they have? In anything like a similar situation? It seems extraordinarily unlikely.
Please explain how the reps requested in relation to the damage caused differs in any way when the size of the offending alliance is factored in? The amount requested has nothing to do with the number of nations in your alliance, nor with the number of nations in NG's alliance. The numbers are based solely on the reason for the reps request. White collar crime comes at a high price.
