OOC: No that's alright I have the habit of not simplifying things so others can keep up, but this actually leads on from the last couple of threads I made in here and a few others as well. My old nation was destroyed as the result of the NPO and I chose to base my next one round the plotline of Battlestar Galactica with a small number of survivors escaping a holocaust with a lone warship to defend them (and naming the new nation Battlestar Pegasus in the process.) So yes, the fleet and the Pegasus are capable of orbit and are starships. An idea I had was for the fleet to start re-colonizing on planet after almost all of Korea came within my area of influence in game, so most of the starships have begun landing and building cities. The paragraph about pirate ships relates to this thread: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?s...t&p=1692809 In this an allied nation is being attacked by pirates (the ones who use actual ships that go across the water) and as such I got involved in attacking them using atmosphere capable gunships and fighters. At the same time atmosphere capable freighters are dropping off supplies at the colonies. It’s a bit hard to specify which ship is which when you’ve got three types in one post. Does that make this understandable?

Probably Korea, or somewhere in Indonesia if every nation doesn't start taking every island in sight again.

Only the very basics of my CN persona, the rest of the time I usually try to stay out of the way of fights than dive head long into them. I also generally put far more thought into what I say.

A friendly community, high forum activity, leaders who are decent people and willing to listen to the ideas and opinions of members, a history of honouring agreements and MDPs. And who play the game to enjoy it rather than 'win' it.

How many alliances would have their strongest members flee into peace mode than fight to defend their weaker nations? Especially when you have had so much experience beating down others. I find it interesting that you blame freeloaders for your failings.

IFN News Report With the end of the Karma War and the stand down of Pegasus' crews, the fleet has been allowed to continue it's operations to construct a number of colonies across South Korea surrounding a number of larger ships capable of atmospheric flight. Once colony defenses and economies are fully established these ships shall be 'gutted' and removed of internal sections to accommodate growing populations. There has been some opposition to the decree of turning the fleet into permanent buildings and places of residence for some time now, and so far Minister Lockheed has allowed for a small number of larger cruisers to remain in orbit along side the Battlestar and the more vital ships such as the refineries and freighters but the simple fact is that unless new resources of fuel, metal and other vital requirements are found the fleet cannot be maintained and will have to be abandoned. In other news, direct action has begun to be taken against the pirates and Nemesis Wing working along side strike teams of the 66th Colonial Marines have reportedly sunk three of the pirates ‘motherships’ from which their smaller craft are carried from long distance to their targets. A division has been assembled and sent to Kitex under the command Lieutenant Colonel O'Rorke as a more direct effort to strike out against the pirates and destroy the threat to the colonies and the supplies coming in from orbit. Furthermore it has now been fully confirmed that the military units are on full alert, and a warning has been issued to other nations in the east that without direct identification and authorization, both ships and aircraft entering Pegasus designated territories will be placed under arrest or shot down if they refuse to cooperate with boarder patrols. NPO attacked GATO over something which could have easily been negotiated and dealt with in about five minutes, used it as an excuse to throw everything you had at us and our allies, robbed the alliance of everything it had, threatened those who tried to stay out of your way with ZI (or EZI/PZI or whatever it was), forced one alliance to disband and told them you would keep attacking their members none the less, continually made insults and slander towards GATO on the forums, refused to even acknowledge that we had been sending surrender messages until we mentioned it in an official post, made sure that the first Viceroy put in charge of our alliance was the !@#$%^& who had been directing the attempts to wipe us out and had very happily been yelling ‘ORDER 66’ and ‘GAYTO’ only a few days before the surrender, banned without justification or reason several of our oldest members who would have been able to begin rebuilding GATO without NPO help, turned GATO into your puppet and personal tech farm under the guise of rebuilding the alliance, and essentially tore to soul out of the alliance. Raping sounds accurate enough for me. However, I do take comfort that in a far better position than us you and your comrades also fought tooth and nail to survive and defend your alliance had most of your members flee screaming into peace mode for fear of losing their pixels. IFN News Update: "As a result of the growing naval raids and fighting within Kitex's boarders, reports have begun to come in from other nations of a significant rise in pirate activity and attacks on commercial vessels. Several reports have also come in from the Pegasus colonies of large ships with what appear to be speedboats docked with their hulls scouting out new locations close to the New Dogsville assembly area where shipments are moved into the new colonies from the fleet. One of the more recent cargo shipments reported overflying close to one of these ships and being fired upon by a ground to air missile or explosive weapon aimed to take out the freighter’s engines. As a result of this clearly aggressive attack, several military units of Cobra squadrons have been moved to the recently constructed hangers and civilians report a higher number of Marines and militia patrolling the streets and outskirts of the colonies. One unnamed pilot commented that they had begun to fly patrols with specific orders to destroy any pirate vessels on site as a method of defense against such raiders. It is currently unknown if this is a prelude to a declaration of martial law across the colonies or if this is a temporary arrangement. Only time will tell.

As the core of our population consists of those who are of British descent and nationality, the people Pegasus and her colonies kindly demand that you stop ruining the English countryside with your industrial aspirations and go invade a more profitable target, France for example.

If he wants reparations then he can message me and ask for it himself. It shall include the money taken and the damage done to his infra, but it shall be far less than the 15,000,000 you suggested as I did nowhere near that much damage. At the most I probably only did 700K overall. EDIT: This is obviously assuming that the NPO's surrender terms do not prevent me from sending aid anyway.

You know, next time I'm put on trial I'd actually like for someone to contact me and tell me that people are making judgments about my actions. First off, I had been planning to make an attack upon Maelstrom Vortex for a few days before now and had been trying to get together a number of RoK nations to make a joint strike against him due to his attacks upon weaker Karma nations, ones he had a major advantage over due to his improvements and air force. I would have had to have ditched a lot of infra and land to get in range so I was somewhat reluctant to make an an attack if others were in range. I can get screenshots of one or two posts from the RoK forums if you want proof. On the day I attacked I simply checked MV's nation before I checked my inbox (I was at war with two other nations at the time) and found that he was now within striking range presumably due to aid he had received a few days beforehand, I declared war and made a number of attacks and then checked my inbox to find a message stating that the war was over. I made a peace offer and sending an apology for my attack after the war's end and moved on to the forums. I’ll admit that there is no love lost between the NPO or I, but I take a dim view of this as Vortex and those stating that this was a simple cheap shot made various estimations and judgments without actually coming to me and asking for the whole truth in this matter. All it would have taken is a simple PM, so I regard this as being little more than a publicity stunt. Finally, to everyone who has been defending my position on this matter up till now, I thank you. And I owe all of you one.

If doing nothing is a crime, then just about every single person here has been guilty of it at one point or another. Originally I only ever got involved in Vox Populi due to the NPO led attack on GATO and it’s allies, before that I honestly didn’t care what happened everywhere else but within my alliance. I'll admit that it would have been better if a few of the larger alliances had begun to work against the Hegemony sooner but people seem to naturally just look to what's directly ahead of them, and turn a blind eye to what does not involve them until it's too late. It's just the way things are.

Don't underestimate them, simply because they are not a threat now does not mean that they shall not become one in the future and does not mean that they will not attempt to take control once more. With all their strongest nations being allowed to quite happily bide their time until this war ended they are more than capable of rebuilding at great speed.

OOC: *points to GIF in signature* This is the New Pacific Order we are talking about here, they're going to come after Karma alliances sooner or later and take their revenge for an ouright defeat. If nothing else their previous actions show that they are incapable of letting go of the past.

Over at long last. It's a shame really considering the NPO looked as if they were beginning to truly crumble but I guess this is satisfactory. Congrats to every nation in Karma.

Not when the people who are winning are pulling acts such as stating that any nation who enters peace mode shall be sentenced to EZI. And yes, I still hold that against them. The NPO's choice here is simple, they can surrender or die out as CN slowly stagnates due to their own pride and arrogance. This is supposedly a choice, but only one allows for them to continue to eventually rebuild, grow and become stronger. The same can be said of the gunpoint diplomacy (or gunboat diplomacy if you prefer) used by the NPO, there was a choice but it was a choice between surrendering or ending up like FAN.
