  1. Power, fortune, fame. Got here, and all I ended up with was this lame nation. Not even a free t-shirt. Power over a few people... making babies cry... cool people in Stickmen.... not like I would go join someone else in stickmen, either, since the only difference is whose puppet the alliance is. I like all of our puppet masters. They end up with friends in various alliances, and randomly decide they want to see what is going on over yonder. Or, they are addicted to it, like JtG. Zero. If I swallow something, it won't be going through the air. Or so I hope. EDIT: tagfail
  2. Honestly, if I were anyone but SLCB gov, I would ignore these kinds of threads altogether.
  3. Allow me to tell you a story. One day, I was walking down the road, when I heard a massive skin-to-skin contact around the corner. Thinking obviously Mr T once again found a defenseless victim, I turned to run. I hadn't even turned a fourth of a pi before de Ruyter was in front of me. He didn't even speak, but conveyed a message that because I was a stickman and had voted for him, I was a friend, and should not fear his wrath. He also was kind enough to advise me not to look at what had happened around the corner, as it wasn't pretty. Conclusion: Vote for de Ruyter.
  4. Haha, you can trick a council member, but you'll never get me! Wait... !@#$!
  5. This is why most agree monarchy is the best government setting, despite the happiness bonus loss. fake edit: oh, didn't read thread. Yea, alliance democracy is simply too slow, inefficient, etc. as already stated. I personally enjoy Triumvirates, as they keep one person from becoming really stupid, or inactive and thus inefficient, yet the alliance doesn't have to wait too long for a response. Better yet, the point you brought up about corruption. Democracy is sort of in place to try avoiding corruption. One corrupt person can't ruin the fun of a whole bunch of people. Yet, in voting for someone, they choose the person they like and perhaps not exactly the person most qualified. This also happens due to the common member not being fully educated in the situation or what exactly is going on. Ask members what they want to do, yet, they don't know what the government knows.... a decision is made, and the gov is like.... oh... crap.... well, have to do it. And they get screwed over.
  6. Likely the awkward kind of moment.

Also, I left you a message on IM. That was just an hour ago and you aren't there now : (

  7. I'm on now... perhaps too late? Actually, should be dinner time for you, I suppose, but I'll be around! Catch me on invisible if I don't appear online.

  8. Hi. Previous members of SLCB have posted here and questions were raised on policy. Being gov (triumvirate, essentially) I suppose I'm forced into play. Yes, if PEACE were to message all of our members for their senate campaign, this would be smiled upon. We'd hope our members would vote for our candidate, but hey, their choice. We in Stickmen believe heavily in Freedom of Speech, and saying we have such freedom but no one else does because we are a super secret ultra cool club of free-speechers... well, you get the idea. More importantly, I'd like to thank Louisa for her support. <3 Most importantly, I request other stickmen peeps not to post here any longer. Thread should have been over the second Louisa made her statement. Any questions concerning SLCB/FCO/iFOK/Stickmen policy should be directed to the appropriate governments on IRC or forums. The lights of publicity are starting to hurt my eyes. EDIT: We have no treaties with FCC. Sorry, was typing too quickly and not paying attention. My sincerest apologies. Much love to FCO.
  9. Lincon, I noticed that as well. This topic is about avalon and stickmen. Or... was. I believe SLCB and Avalon spoken on IRC about this. If I'm mistaken, or further discussing needs done, I'm in #Avalon right now. Query : D
  10. o/ OMFG I've have had interactions with you guys before, and thus must express my approval for succeeding in foreign relations. Friends are always nice to have.
  11. Buff, at first I read that as, "one down one to go" thinking you had an omen on us. Then I reread. Thank you for the wishes : )
  12. No, NPO is prepping to DoW on FAN, not IRON. Simple mistake, I'm sure, since you deleted the message and all.
  13. But tomorrow I have class most of the day! Thursday would be better. Nonetheless, I shall try my best to be there tomorrow. Also, I'm starting to get curious as to what your Interests in your profile refers.

  14. :poke:

I've been looking for you, but there are people I'm hiding from. Perhaps I will man up and just be visible on IM. Shall you be online tomorrow?

  15. How did you hear about the drugs? Spearo been talking to you guys? Knew I should have kept him out of the loop. /me gets out the axe.
  16. I suppose by being allies, I'm forced to congratulate you on this, albeit I highly disapprove of Iosif not being Triumvir.
  17. And apparently not now, either. Damn your Swedish time zone! Or perhaps damn mine....

  18. SLCB is in there, too! Why are we always forgotten : ( Anyway, people seem to enjoy it, and you seem to dislike it. Both encourage us to keep doing it.
  19. aw, but I was online at the time you posted your comment on my profile thing. But I was also not paying attention to AIM that much. I shall look more closely next time in hopes of catching you!

  20. Sorry I've been gone for so long. How have things been?

  21. Congrats. I don't know Wolfpack well, but I know Asgaard is a good people to associate with.
  22. Fun to read through the list and find out a good portion of your gov members were at some point in time involved with Vox.
  23. Thank you, Sam. I feared we were nearly forgotten about D:
  24. Sir, I do believe you forgot the umlaut in my name. WHO'S TALKING ABOUT CLASS NOW, SONNEH?
  25. To all those claiming we look like idiots: Come on, we're just trying to bring some amusement to the community. Note how some enjoy our low-ball humor, some don't. If you don't, then too bad. It didn't really hurt anyone, did it? If you did, then shweet. I mean, honestly, everyone who has played this game for four or more years (aka, like, freaking everyone [note: exaggeration]), knows this "class" and "being classy" thing a few keep bringing up has long exited the building. I'm in college, I go to enough class as it is. I don't need any more class when I get on the Internet.
