  1. I can see where all the fun would come from if we did this, but I think it would not be very productive in the end. Well, you should stop at our forums sometimes, we have some people ready to do some grabassing there. And thanks for the well wishes.
  2. I will also be happy to take part in such conversation, but I have the same problem as master Pingu here, I don't use IRC very much.
  3. This is true. This is not true. We never questioned your loyalty or didn't trust you as allies. We were simply pursuing what we have been pursuing for a long time, a coherent treaty web. I can understand why you might have misinterpreted that as lack of trust from our part or us jerking around, but that was not the case, I can assure you. I wish the very same to GGA. And as I said before, our time as allies is over, but the friendship remains. At least from our part.
  4. The treaty was not on review again, it was the same review. The treaty was going to be put up to vote, something that never happened before. The time between the discussions and the voting was filled with us debating what to do among the government and membership. And it only shows, unlike you are trying to imply here, that the treaty was important to us and we had a great deal of respect for GGA so we were giving it a lot of thought before moving.
  5. Well, something with bacon on it cannot be bad, can it? Congrats to both parties on your treaty.
  6. I share your hope, but implying that one side is guilty while the other is not as you did already shows why this won't happen so soon.
  7. Most disappointing player: Talker Ninja. He first showed up as a very talented player, he seemed smart, well intentioned and willing to make what was right for ODN. He had a meteoric ascension through our ranks. Then, when the time to make decisions came, he showed his true self. In the end, all he was good at was...... talking. He really is very eloquent, excels in self promotion and know how to make grand discourses in order to gather support for his cause. But when it comes to actually doing something, he does what servers his interests better and leave everyone who trusted him behind to clean up his mess.
  8. Keep trying, perhaps you will be able to save some face eventually. Or you could admit you don't know what you are talking about and leave the discussion with some dignity. Either way is good with me.
  9. Well, I don't think it is that hard to imagine a situation where ODN and GGA will be in different sides of a war in the future without the need of us attacking them or their allies directly.
  10. Truly, no one here is trying to deny the importance GGA had in our history. Actually, for what we shared in the past we have a large number of members quite fond of GGA in the alliance, even in the Government, myself included. But, it is no secret that we are taking a pretty radical approach to our FA and canceling treaties with alliances that are not somewhat aligned with our currently goals. Unfortunately GGA was among these alliances. If we kept the treaty, in the end we would again be on a situation were we would need to chose between allies and someone would end up feeling betrayed by us. We simply don't want and cannot afford to find ourselves in a situation like this again. All the talks and reviews and whatevers we had were simply us trying to deny the inevitable: if we used the same criteria we used with the others, this treaty had to be canceled. As I said before, I really wish GGA all the best, I want to see them strong and prosperous once again and I would like to reaffirm that although we are not military allies anymore, GGA can be sure that the friendship remains.
  11. Arsenal's choice of words might have been a little off the target with the "taking advantage" part, but as DeScepter confirmed, the essence of what he said is true. That being said, what you are doing here is derailing a thread that was doing well to further your own agenda and this is clear to everyone. I know you enjoy playing this Cold War of yours and all that, but if you can't show respect to us, you should show respect for your allies at GGA who have been very respectful through all this and stated that they want to part ways in a friendly manner. If anything someone from ODN said here offended them, I'm pretty sure they can complain on their own, here or at their embassy on our forum, without your help.
  12. I really wish GGA all the best. It is sad to see this treaty die, but it had to be done. Good luck guys.
  13. Glad to see this senseless war over. You did the right thing WF, congratulations.
  14. I had the same impression. I'm glad the only thing dying was the treaty. Canceling treaties is hard but sometimes needs to be done. Good luck to all involved.
  15. As an alliance that has been doing this a lot lately we at ODN know very well how difficult is to cancel treaties, even when it is the right thing to do. That being said, I wish you all the luck with this moves and I hope everything goes smoothly with your former allies.
  16. No better alliance to tie with! GATO
  17. Looking pretty solid. Congrats, guys! Now to 1 million and beyond!
  18. Our treaty with Athens was small, but this is smaller. Well, anyway, congrats to both parties!
  19. It was good while it lasted guys, sadly this is our end.
  20. Although you are doing a good job, I don't see anywhere as much public outrage as I have seen last time. You are one of the few who are showing consistency in your opinions. Perhaps I should have called for the False Moralist Crusaders. Different things, I agree. But the concept behind them it is actually the same. Attacking innocent people to steal tech. As I said before, in the threads about the Athens incident, it is not some arbitrary number that will make a crime turn into an acceptable course of action. A tech raid is a tech raid. The guy cannot criticize Athens for a tech raid and in the next few days make a tech raid himself. And the worst part, nuke his victim because he fought back. This whole situation is just lame.
  21. Man.... The guy couldn't wait a few days to show his real face. This is what I call hypocrisy. Where are the world police and the Moralist Crusaders now?
