  1. Emerging from their network of treaties IRON, VE, and Valhalla exists as a de facto bloc- their interlocking treaties, close cooperation, and shared political vision tightly couple them. NonGrata is not only outside of that clique, they are juxtaposed to it, and the idea that IRON actually had any practical alternative here is a contrivance born out of desperation, it is propaganda and nothing more. This wasn't an effort to conserve their nations from damage, it was substantively the only course available as screwing either valhalla or VE, the paramount political entities IRON has intimate strategic cooperation with, was not in the cards. Was the execution botched: perhaps, should a drop have occurred: maybe; regardless these attributes are the metaphorical deck chairs of the narrative and in truth have no greater meaning than the symbolism we attribute to them. They are cynically employed by the 'offended' for dramatic affect, as they are cynically ignored by us; as props they objectively alter and verify nothing. At the end of the day IRON is now absorbing the fallout, effectively sacrificing in ways war damage can't even compare, for not taking the easy way out in siding with NG but for retaining loyalty to their closer partners who they had already pledged themselves to. Sometimes we find ourselves between impossible alternatives- the best we can do is mitigate the damage.
  2. If you want to reset the RP then start a new one. Don't muck up the old one.
  3. That a coalition composed of NPO, NSO, and NG have actually tried to split this hair is probably the most amusing thing I've seen this entire war. Its 2013 legalism of any kind is utterly unappealing. Nobody cares.
  4. Gingervites the subject of male fantasies the world over.
  5. We have no need for your recognition, only your withdrawal. /)^3^(\
  6. How will the women of Planet Tokyo ever recover their honor?
  7. Both of you need to sit down and determine what your actual position is on PT. Eddyh catalyzed this project when he promised me PZI for the round- now he's now just promised that we will all be EZI'd (and that any alliance we join will be rolled (lol)). In both instances we're (formally) isolated to the choice of fighting you or deleting - an option set which simply doesn't induce us to peace. Nothing can characterize your contradictory replies better than the starkness of your two current mutually exclusive positions. Eddyh has remained steadfastly confident in his alliance and has assured us of its immortality, you have assured us of its impending disbandment. He contends its invulnerability and in unlimited capacity- you its impotence in the face of adversity and the need for international intervention. Hes proclaimed that misfits will be invigorated in their rage against us, now you both complain that we're [ooc]going to break the game and literally make everyone quit by actually playing it[/ooc]. You assured us that you would make 'simple sense', and yet your responses have been neither simple, sensible nor intelligible. Pull it together man. /)^3^(\
  8. Tourny conventions exist to engrain a rhythm of predictability. You never know who will attack you, but generally (as per the culture) they will be roughly the same size as you, they will only fight you for a single round, and they most likely are trying to win (which implies they will be open to negotiation, and possess limited objectives rather than unlimited ones). When groups follow this formula, the war is culturally validated and all is forgiven. What your posts indicate is that innovation and creativity to said culture's adherents is castigated as injustice and mean spirited- this is the basis of your complaint. All we have done here is demonstrate the basic flaw in dependence on these expectations, and the immense power in flaunting them. We're engaging you in a bloodsport, and yet you bemoan that we haven't signed off to instead smack you with plastic batts. At the end of the day this is a nine man alliance hitting one with twenty two members. That we don't march at you in columns or conclude affairs after a week in a handshake is hardly the crime against humanity you seem to think it is; rather it is working intelligently. Shout out to our new members. /)^3^(\
  9. So what I'm reading is that Planet Tokyo on Misfits was a down declare? /)^3^(\
  10. Wrong eddyh, while we have not engaged you openly nor shown our full hand we still work with far fewer resources than you. That you have had this much difficulty engaging us indicates that your threats (to us or future affiliations) are as empty as your wallet. That being said, your vision of future retribution hinges on five basic assumptions:That you'll actually be capable of engaging the alliance(s) we join. That you'll know who we are. That we'll be here to roll. That you'll be in a better position to act relative to us. That we won't just keep doing this every round. You're in no position (nor will you ever be) to enforce an EZI, and you know this. /)^3^(\
  11. Let me assure you that while there are many things at work here, petty grudges and childish motives are not. PLANET TOKYO /)^3^(\ is driven chiefly by its ambition: to amuse itself, we seek to do something different- to offer an alternative to the stifling conventions of tourney culture. It was your emphatic pleas against OP's 'DOWNDECLARE ;..;' that brought you to our attention, and it is for your commitment to these contrived precepts that we have set our sights upon you. You are correct though, there is no 'morality' in this place: there never was. The limited scope of wars, the sparseness of treaties, and the fixation on 'the fair fight' are all self serving artifacts deployed in the interest of optimizing limited objectives. People refrain from 'DOWNDECLARE ;..;'s for fear that it will bring upon them community reprisal, or in our case a refusal to yield, but nobody actually cares whether a war is fair to the defeated. When you were engaged, you wallowed in your victimhood, as you do now- and while you could have mirrored our own tenacity before op, while you could have ruined the round for your antagonist- you left the battlefield with your tail between your legs- you chose to let them 'win'. I am not a cruel person, I want what is best for everyone, I want you to learn to be a better leader. So I offer you against us the same conditions OP had against you. I offer you a fight where you are the greater party, where you have the upper hand, and where you with your vastly superior alliance ought to have no trouble in dispatching us. I do this to demonstrate to you the weakness of every alliance- that they want to 'win'. In place of cynical tactical considerations, flag running, and the pursuit of quantitative excellence - we seek the self gratification of conquest, your tears, and the sadistic pleasure of brutality. We see no object in cultural adherence, and before this simple atomistic nihilism the whole of your aspirations and indeed perhaps your existence itself collapses. We don't engage you out of spite, but out of principle- we have a point to make- that while an opponent may lose the war, their defeat might cost you the round. If you or anyone would simply embrace this simple truth - you could be a force without rival. As to your appeal: Other alliances cannot help you, those of us who can affect you are already fully engaged, and even if they could, they either find your predicament hilarious, or see nothing to be gained in intervening. /)^3^(\ I love your avatar. /)^3^(\
  12. The subversive network spreads its malignant tendrils with every waking moment, its directing committee is without doubt nestled in the bowels of the world's leading enterprises. Who will bring salvation to bob, who will deliver us from such terror. Sorry to see you all close your doors, I wish you only the best.
  13. You seem to miss my point. The petty political exchanges of this thread don't, and indeed shouldn't affect anyone's decisions. Everyone save possibly yourselves is already cynically aware of the fact that no meaningful transmission of thought has occurred here. To all of us this is nothing more than a forced attempt to score some ~cOmPeTeNcE~ points by individuals of the defunct coalition least worthy of the name. Neither CnG, nor NSO (let alone rey) are first rank affiliates of their sphere, and unoriginal attempts to rehash the pr strategy from the last war do little more for you than amuse us.
  14. itt rey and huffy NSO allies pretend their opinion of sparta matters.
  15. Imagine that, owf posting could be driven by political alignments. Maybe you should consider publishing.
  16. This particular line up is especially interesting. Good hunting polaris.
  17. I'm hardly the one chest puffing here. I think you know that.
  18. <snark> Reserves, we predict counters. Bark meet bite. PSA: </snark>
  19. I guess I'll see you in a week upper tier NSO (maybe?)...
  20. Oniichan I don't think anyone gets it- rush never told us what the elephant was. As for the meat of your post - you sound impassioned, I like that.
  21. Commence phase II of candiland, candiland is a go.
