You know all those "lulzy" puns, emoticons and catchphrases? None of them are funny. None of them were ever funny. None of them will ever be funny. They have been completely run into the ground by people who have absolutely no concept of humour beyond mindless parroting of the cool kids; parroting which is often clumsily seasoned with emoticons that are either in direct contradiction with their post or are simply bad in their own right.
I die a little inside every time I see any of the following (this is by no means an exhaustive list):
- "gRAMlins"
- "Stop making me agree with you!"
- "X is the new hegemony"
- "Bring it"
- "lulz alliance"
- ANY REFERENCE TO ALCOHOL OR ANY OTHER DRUG

and so should you. If you can't find a way to be funny without using any of the above, I would advise thinking hard about whether clicking Add Reply is a good idea. Chances are you're not going to attract the sort of laughter you were looking for.
