Its purpose was to teach the lost art of aerial combat and to insure that the handful of men who graduated were the best fighter pilots in the world. They succeeded. Today, the Navy calls it Fighter Weapons School. The flyers call it: TOP GUN. The following treaty, signed between FEAR and Europa, henceforth known as Maverick and Iceman, declares our interests in rapport and mutual defense. [/center][center] [/center][center]Article I - Negative Ghostrider, the pattern is full[/center][center]While the two have had a long-standing "unzip and compare" rivalry, both Maverick and Iceman agree never to declare war on one-another. This would violate this treaty, and would result in both pilots being terminated from the Navy. [/center][center] [/center][center]Article II – No, boys. There's two "O"s in Goose. [/center][center]Maverick and Goose agree to share intel regarding the other in the case of a target rich environment. If either sees a MiG lining up for a shot on the other's six, the non-threatened agrees to shout a "Break left!" warning. [/center][center] [/center][center]Article III - Eject, Goose! Eject! Eject! Eject! Watch the canopy! [/center][center]Direct Defense - If Maverick or Iceman come under attack, the other shall come to the aid of the first. [/center][center]Chaining Defense - If either alliance's wingman comes under attack and one is drawn in due to an outside treaty, and then finds itself under attack, the uninvolved alliance shall come to the aid of it's ally, except in the case of outstanding outside treaties. [/center][center] [/center][center]Article IV – The defense department regrets to inform you that your sons are dead because they were stupid. [/center][center]Aggression - If either pilot engages a target, the other has the option of taking a shot at the same target. [/center][center]Aggressive Defense - If either pilot fires a shot in anger and is retaliated against, the other pilot has the option of defending. [/center][center] [/center][center]Article V - Great balls of fire! [/center][center]Both pilots agree to work together to fill the other's pocketbook. [/center][center] [/center][center]Article VI - I hate it when she does that.[/center][center]If either side loses that lovin' feelin', they may choose to cancel the above treaty. Doing so requires 72 hours notice to the other signatory, in private, after which article one remains in place for an additional seven days. [/center][center] [/center][center]Article VII - Signatures[/center][center]The signatures below immediately enter this document as alliance law and materialize the good relations that exists between the alliances that have signed below. Once entered into law, it shall remain there until it is dissolved through the process detailed in Article VI.
