London, Great Britain - The sun shone brightly on London that day, particularly the Palace of Westminster, where the British aristocracy had gathered. The Union Jack fluttered in the cool mid-summer breeze while the bellowing sound of the clock towers bells rang out across the city. The House of Lords, overflowing with wealthy and influential politicians, businessmen and peers, was momentarily the center of the universe.

A tall, dark haired, young man of only 35 entered the chamber from behind a large throne that sat on one end of the house. He was clad in the dress uniform of a British naval officer, complete with various medals, most earned through nearly two decades of service. He was accompanied by a young woman dressed in a pearl white gown. A magnificent tiara protruded from her well kept, blond hair, with matching earrings and necklace wrapped around her neck.

The room deafened when he sat upon the impeccable throne and began to speak.

My Lords and Members of the House of Commons.

The world has emerged from a cataclysmic event which has forever altered civilisation as we once knew it. Not since the defeat of the scourges of totalitarianism and fascism has the world endured such a profound change, but the people of Britain prevailed, as we always have and always will.

Today I reactivate the British Armed Forces and declare these isles independent of tyranny, fear and want. Let Britain rise and reclaim her rightful place among the concert of nations!

Britains new King rose from his throne to the sound of booming applause.

In an unmarked, slightly dirty tenement room adjacent to the Capitol building.
Democratic People's Republic of Guanwai

"Another wanna-be Royal?"

Premier Zhang scoffed at his television screen, before taking another bite of food from his plate.

"The arrogance of these decadent clowns disgusts and infuriates me. We must take greater action to propel the nations of the world into modernity and abolish these archaic, reactionary products of delirium."

His Comrade, swallowing a gulp of poppy tea, nodded and smiled before passing out on the couch. Later, the Premier would institute measures to combat the rise of aristocracy.
