Reconstitution of the Greater Timuridian Empire

"In the interests of political stability, this country will adapt a constitution within the next seventy-two hours, and I will assume the throne as Amir of the newly-reconstituted Greater Timuridian Empire. There has not been an Amir since the days of Khalil Timur, more then two decades ago, when he handed off power to his son, my father. Khalil Timur has admitted in the past that the retiring of the monarchy, at that time, was a mistake, and that it must be brought back again.

Taking a leaf from this book, I will assume the throne and leadership of the government, as His Royal Highness, the Amir Sham Timur, while overseeing the construction of a Parliament and Representative Government. This includes the creation of a Prime Ministerial position, whose power will be shared with the Amir in the interests of stability.

The foreign agreements of the Caspian Clique will be retained, so long as its allies stand by this new government, and this government will continue work to maintain the stability of Central Asia, working with its neighbors, no matter what type of government."

OOC: People can start having their delegations arrive now.

Morning of Coronation Day - Ashgabat

"The population has shown support for restoration of the monarchy, a Caspian Journal poll conducted showed widespread support, across all four corners of the country," noted Sham Timur's new Chief of Staff, Prince Ephraim Tolstoy. He watched as the Heir-Apparent stood in front of the window at the Ashgabat Presidential Residence, soon to be renamed Ashgabat Palace.

"That is good news, what of our visitors? How many foreign leaders or dignitaries are expected to be in attendance?" asked the Heir-Apparent, turning to look at Tolstoy.

"Uh," said Tolstoy, looking at his clipboard, then responding, "Ten government dignitaries, and their entourages, will be in attendance."

"And Ashgabat's Military Airbase has been cleared for their arrival?"

"Of course, sir."

"Good, and the veterans of the Communist Australian Campaign are the Honor Guard, as I requested?" asked the Heir-Apparent.

"Yes sir, the First Battalion of the 'Azrael' has the airbase, the Third Battalion is assigned as motorcade protection, the 2nd ALI is here in Ashgabat," responded Tolstoy, flipping through the pages attached the clipboard. "And a platoon from the 'Samael' has been assigned to you as close escort protection."

"Perfect, is Khalil awake yet?"

"No, he is not, sir, the staff let him sleep, it is to be a long day for you, and him," responded Tolstoy, watching the future monarch adjust his half-buttoned white undershirt.

"A day that has been more than two decades in the coming," replied the Heir-Apparent, looking out that window again at the main boulevard that skirted the front perimeter of the Palace. The city was just waking, in only a few hours, it would be in celebration, citizens tuning into the coronation, or trying to catch a glimpse of it at the Erutgrul Gazi mosque. Flags of the Timuridian Empire hung along the streets and avenues of the capitol, along with a succession of flags of the nations attending the coronation lining the main boulevard to the mosque.

"The old man changed you, sir."

"I think he just nudged some things along," responded the Heir-Apparent, turning and smiling at his Chief of Staff, before clapping him on the shoulder. "Let's get going, it is time to start our long day."

The Ashgabat Military Airbase had been cleared of its normal occupants, that could include transports, fighters, bombers, or any other type of aircraft flown by the Royal Timuridian Air Force. There was a combat air patrol that was keeping an eagle's eye over the surrounding airspace of Ashgabat, and military presence was strong, but remained subtle. The Air Base had been well cleaned for the arrival of foreign delegates, with a red carpet prepared, as well as honor guards composing soldiers of the recently-returned Task Force Caspia, men who had fought vigorously in Communist Australia. All of them were dressed in formal military attire, some of them still had casts or bandages from their wounds, but still maintained a professional air with their crisp uniforms, spotless dress shoes, and polished ceremonial rifles.

Standing with them would be Major General Andrei Konev, recently returned (and promoted) commander of the Task Force in Communist Australia, as well as Colonel Omar Kazeem, leaning on a crutch, his leg stiff from his wound. Both men would be standing next to the Heir-Apparent, as his personal guests for their service abroad, when the foreign delegations arrived. As was customary for the Timuridians, it was the duty of the Monarch to greet his guests upon their arrival in the country, staying in Ashgabat and awaiting them being driven in was unacceptable, unless it was for extenuating circumstances.

Girija Varma, the Queen Mother of Cochin Royal Family arrived at Ashqabat Military Airbase in a King's Guards G650. Dressed in a simple Dark Maroon Sari with a pashmina shawl draped to ward off the cold, she would be accompanied by her grandson Arun. They would be flanked by the King's Guards Chaver commandos in their trim black colored business suits albeit with black balaclava covering their face, black Rayban eyeglasses over their eyes, their not so ceremonial swords danging by their left hip, the ceremonial shield at their back and with their fire arms concealed underneath their suits. Mrs. Girija Varma received the salute from the honor guard assembled by the red carpet welcoming area and would then proceed to the venue of the coronation.

The Sovereign's 747 touched down on the runway of the military base, and taxied close to the red carpet. As the ramp was moved up to the side, the hatch opened and six men exited, in two single file lines. They wore black dress uniforms with maroon highlights and berets, along with a few medals and ribbons earned in the civil war of 2007. They were of varying race.

They split up and stood on either side of the carpet, near the honor guard, and saluted as Vedran walked down the ramp, a white man in his early forties wearing a dark tweed suit and tie. A small group of aides followed him, along with an interpreter in case it was necessary.

As Vedran passed his guards, they lowered their hands to their sides and walked with him, three on each side. The leader of Arctica walked down the row, saluting the honor guard, and stopped in front of the Heir Apparent, bowing his head slightly and reaching out a hand to shake.

"I am Vedran of Arctica. It's an honor to be here for the coronation of a new leader."

After the ceremony, the plane taxied off to the designated place on the tarmac. An additional 18 men were on it, much more heavily armed than the others, hoping they wouldn't get the dreaded call. For groups like theirs were standard procedure for Arctican diplomats visiting abroad, ever since the fiasco at the Imperial Ball in Slavorussia years ago.

As the Queen Mother of the Cochin Royal Family stepped off her aircraft, the Heir-Apparent, along with his guests of honor bowed to pay their respects. The Honor Guard all snapped their weapons to 'present arms', as her stepped off the stairway leading to her private aircraft. As the Queen Mother reached where the Heir-Apparent stood, he gently took her hand, stooped, and kiss her hand.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, your Highness. My House brings tidings of good faith, and I hope this day finds our friends to the south in good spirits?" he said, with a wide smile.

As she would walk along the carpet, towards the waiting vehicles of the motorcade, the honor guard would spin their rifles, barrel on stock, clockwise, in tradition, as she passed. The weapons were of course not loaded, or tipped with a bayonet; the move was done out of a sign of respect. After the Queen Mother had passed, the weapons would return to the Honor Guardsman side.

---

As Vedran stepped off the aircraft, the Heir-Apparent bowed his head, and the honor guard repeated their process of 'presenting arms'. Sham Timur smiled as Vedran extended his hand, and he firmly grasped it, and nodded, "It is an pleasure to have your attendance, Vedran, I am honored by your presence for this event. My nation appreciates your recognition and gesture to be in attendance."

The honor guard would repeat their rolling weapon-spin when once again after Vedran exchanged pleasantries with the Heir-Apparent, and proceeded along the carpet. The flags of each nation, as they arrived in attendance, would be raised on a nearby flagpole. As Vedran stepped off his own aircraft, the flag of Arctica was raised, the flag of Cochin already fluttering in the slight breeze that blew across the air base.

The jet plane that carried Cheng Nangjia landed at the runway of the designated airport base, and slowly came to a halt, whereupon the General stepped out of the craft. He wore the ceremonial uniform and peaked officer cap that was customary of the Guofangbu's leading officer to wear on foreign affairs assignments, as well as at Xinyan's military parades and cultural celebrations, and he immediately ordered any aides or officers to remain on the craft, preferring to handle foreign affairs on his own, unless ordered otherwise--and he rarely was.

The General strode up to the Heir-Apparent, bowing his head and holding out a hand to shake Sham Timur's. "General Cheng Nangjia of the Xinyan Republic. It is an honour."

"Thank you, General. It is an honor to have Xinyan in attendance," nodded the Sham Timur, bowing his head slightly, and shaking Cheng Nangjia's hand firmly. Both Konev and Kazeem snapped salutes for the General, after he exchanged pleasantries with the Heir-Apparent.

While Austria herself was still hurting drastically from recession and political instability stemming from the transfer of the Germanic Union to full Austrian Sovereignty, the Duchess made sure that though the Duchy was still recovering domestically, diplomatically she could build strength. Caspia, now Timurdia offered perhaps one of the sanest voices in the world to Maria. Seemingly away from the domineering ideologies of the Chinese or Athenians, and much more approachable than the Germans or Dalmatians, Timurdia offered a friendly strength that perhaps with a bit of kind words and gestures could be secured for the Duchy. Of course Austria planned to return the favor seven-fold for whatever the Duchess could afford, but the idea of meeting the Heir of Tamerlane, a figure only covered in her history lessons, such a meeting would be a real treat.

Stepping off of her plane, Maria found herself in line behind the entourages of the Articans, Cochins, and other, and the small Austrian entourage was seemingly dwarfed. But after the Heir-Apparent had said his good graces to the other leaders, his eyes finally met Maria's own. She smiled, taking his hands and curtsying as she did so.

"Your Excellency is far too kind to receive us for such a monumental occasion, I hope this begins an era of unrivaled prosperity to your people Amir and I hope that after this celebration that perhaps we might be able to talk privately about closer relations between Austria and Timurdia. It would mean the world to me."

The Heir-Apparent chuckled softly, a warm smile creasing his young face.

"You are too kind, your highness, thank you for your kind wishes," he said, bowing his head deeply. "We must hold true to the tradition of old, I wouldn't have no other greet our guests from abroad, it is an honor to finally meet your ladyship. And by all means, there shall be time to discuss matters privately during the reception, I am certainly amenable to such requests for a private audience."

He gently raised one of her hands to his lips, and gave it a gentle kiss, and his smile sincere and polite. As his lips left her hands, the Austrian flag joined those of the Kingdom of Cochin, Arctica, and Xinyan fluttering in the breeze nearby.

Katie Collick, although not the Chairwoman anymore, still attended in the name of Communist Australia. Besides, she had needed some time away from the country, and Biff had pressured to allow his party more leeway anyway. The Leninists were probably going to be of more use against the Free Australians than the CPA anyway - the Leninists were more open to compensation than the CPA. Regardless, she was here to meet up with one of Australia's oldest and most trustworthy allies, the Caspians, who now stylized themselves as Timuridian. As she stepped off the plane, she was happy to be outside of Brisbane for once.

"Chairwoman Collick, it is an honor. You might recognize a few faces here," smiled the Heir-Apparent, as he met Katie Collick stepping off the plane, offering his hand to her. "I am glad that Communist Australia could be in attendance today, thank you for coming."

All of the Honor Guard arrayed around the carpet were veterans of the Battle of the Coonan Street Bridge, having seen heavy combat during the Civil War. Both Kazeem and Konev greeted Collick with professional curtness, smiling politely, and offering handshakes of their own.

Alan along with his two guards climbed out of the plane with a smile beaming on his face. He made his way Heir-Apparent and shook his hand.
"I am honored to be here on behalf of the nation of Pihana. Not only am i honored to be here for the first occasion Pihana will be present at, but also that it is with your nation."
He finished the sentence and the smile returned to his face, clearly showing hes glad to be here.
