I voted for Gairyuki's simply because it's the only design that any sort of apparent forethought or harmony. The rest of these have random elements floating around and/or text slapped on them as an afterthought, and those are huge turn offs. I like lonewolf's image a lot but that text slapped over it makes me cringe. Davian's is pleasant, but too familiar and simple since I've seen that same 'glowing line' theme splattered all over the internet [url="http://www.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=glowing+lines+photoshop&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai="]for years now[/url]. [/quote] I appreciate the vote, although I still think sojourner's entry fits the bill. I'm not sure if it's a stock picture run through a few filters, but it's pleasant to look at and has that degree of random and unexplainable-ness that I expect from an abstract sig. Although I have to say that lately, the abstract theme has become more cliche than one would think; all I ever see in abstract SOTW's are fire-lines, filtered c4ds, and grunge vector sets. I would have liked to see what you would have come up with, der Rote Baron, as I think you tend to nail the text part (which I've started to focus more on in my latest sigs).
