  1. Never have I seen such senseless terms. Enforcing someone's alliance affiliation because their alliance disbanded and they joined us properly as members to defend their former ally? Most reasonable people would see that as commendable, especially when they have the advantage anyways and the numbers don't add up to a meaningful difference in the outcome. Everyone should be able to choose their alliance as they see fit and under no opposition to do so. Pretty disappointed in the way politics have gone around here. Not even moral versus immoral anymore, just pointless positioning of one side's desire to strong arm another into submission.
  2. Fact: There's a war going on and not enough vodka is being kept around to make molotov cocktails. Kashmir, my friends, at least have the class to stop drinking the cheap stuff and only leaving us the top shelf drinks to turn into guerrilla weaponry. How else am I going to fill my drinks full of burning radioactive umbrellas?!
  3. Cya Doom! Good to be friends/allies with you in the past. Hope everyone enjoys their next pastures and best wishes especially to WC.
  4. Sweet, we're in a war. It's been awhile since I've had any reason to shake off the cobwebs. There's no better reason to fight than to stick up for a friend, whether you're going to win or lose, whatever the cause. NG and NpO are doing the same thing, you'd think there would be more respect being thrown around because of that.
  5. As a former Kiwi, you should jump into Harmful with me. Pretty sure we've even fought together a few times.
  6. I can confirm Hakai's multiple hearts, he's shown them to me. You should drop by sometime Walsh, we've got the best tap selection in all of Bob.
  7. It's hard to earn casualties when people don't fight you. This is my second nation, Sparta blocked me from one global war, each time I've fought Legion they've neglected to do any damage to me, I've had numerous opponents delete and surrender. I seem to recall you sitting out of one of the three wars in fact.
  8. This is the 3rd time I've fought Legion... I'm getting bored with them, send someone else that can fight please. SUN, Invicta (xR1 is at least trying for the record, he got overwhelmed) and Legion. It's as if people won't take me seriously.
  9. There wasn't much they could do about you guys, you were all doing too good in the lower tier. But at least they sent out some higher level nations to play for us since SUN wasn't accommodating our needs very well.
  10. Woohoo, someone else to fight me to hopefully damage me enough so I don't have to drop out of this war after one round. Let's see what you've got xR1, haven't fought you in awhile. E: Ah, off to a rough first round there buddy. Nixed a few boats though!
  11. Back in the day this was just as big of a problem. In my opinion when allies use a treaty to bar entry into a war that is grounds for immediate dissolution of the treaty. It's ridiculous behavior but common in those backchannel war planning rooms. "If we send X to attack Y then A, B and C can't enter that front." Right at that point it's the responsibility of alliance X to step up and make it known they won't put their ally in a no-win situation to where they can't help another ally because they've been treaty blocked. And if you have too many treaties causing this, that's your fault.
  12. Hi SUN, I'm hoping you guys don't mind obliging my war needs. Last time my opponents deleted and surrendered, leaving me stuck in the high tier and never getting a chance to fight. I'm tired of being on the sidelines.
  13. Schatt, I know you better than to believe any of what you're saying. I've seen you here for a long time and we've talked before. You're jaded over White Chocolate's affiliation with DBDC and think that has changed tJL in some manner. Yet on the contrary, we've done the responsible thing and kept dual membership in-tact to demonstrate a connection to White Chocolate that would have otherwise been left behind the scenes. Whether it is official or not it would have been there, might as well let everyone know. She gets to do what she wants in-character and out of character she can remain an active member of our alliance. She voices her opinion as she wishes, she abstains from any alliance votes and she is not barred from anything that a full ranking member of tJL wouldn't be. Simply put, you're soapboxing about a problem that doesn't exist. And hey, if you dislike us because we're friends/allies with Doom Squad and DBDC, well then at least that's reasonable. But the proxy feud you have via White Chocolate is getting petty. You're better than that. Doesn't matter what I think though, I just figured it was worth posting since I'm here for once. If you're upset, feel free to bring arms against us instead of just sending frustrated love letters.
  14. You're getting really grumpy in your old age Schatt. I remember back when you likened yourself to an enlightened person that posted deep discussions and critical reasoning. All I've seen from you these days are angrily slung arrows at alliances you don't like. And I don't even visit this place more than a few times a year. Go get 'em AI, shouldn't be too difficult of a war for you guys if NADC of today is anything like NADC of yesteryear.
  15. Years ago I made a guide pertaining to reaching 10k NS in 20 days, given that 6mil is possible per aid transaction now, if a bunch of nations offered 6 per 100 to new nations you could turn nuclear in 60 theoretically at a high cost to growth, but it's definitely possible. Nukes are only a fleeting satisfaction though, everyone I've spoken with has the same reservations they did from years ago when they first built a nation. And those of us too old to care much anymore have no new generation of nations to take over alliance duties for them. That's the crux of the problem and it's not going to change anytime soon from what I've seen.
  16. White Chocolate can neither speak for tJL, nor represent tJL with her actions raiding. We do not condone it, nor do we support members who engage in unauthorized wars. She is however one of the best people I have met, she is a founder of tJL, we all love her and we have no qualms with her dual citizenship. While she may wish to adhere to DBDC values, she is still a member of tJL and privvy to all levels of knowledge within our alliance. If you can't respect that, we can't help you. I want to thank FAN and specifically mpol and Mackay up to this point for being good representations of what we hope our relationship to be like in the future with FAN. We had a good discussion, we came to a mutual understanding and we'll move on. Some other sphere can provide the war that people want.
  17. Not one of your members voted for Max according to the activity screen. You haven't posted with us since February despite two posts in your embassy over the past two months to see how you guys were doing. A voting agreement with no voting or communication behind it...? I don't know why I bother sometimes, retirement is so much more serene than this.
  18. BMTH, you were running your own candidate anyways, so how did we spit in your faces? And again, why do you need to buy nukes at this time? And if you need some for defense, buy 5 and still turn a profit. If you're rebuilding, the financial benefits are even more of an incentive. Leading up to the event selection, 2% of yellow was active within the past 7 days purchasing a nuclear weapon. As of right now the vast majority of yellow are benefiting from over 4.5 happiness. Tell you what though, come to me through private channels and I'll help anyone in Riot optimize their rebuild if you so desire. Smurf, we do not regret the outcome chosen. You can't please everyone, there will come a time when my nation or tJL as a whole are negatively impacted by an event. That is the nature of this business. We do agree communications could have been better by all parties and they will be going forward if other parties make the attempts they so seek.
  19. As far as tJL is concerned, no mistakes were made in the voting process. The only wish we have going forward is that others on yellow will be more communicative than they were before. This includes FAN, who up to this point have been difficult to communicate with, putting it lightly. The message system was not implemented at the time of event proposal, a system we will monitor for the first day to see what people discuss about when applicable. We will not hesitate to vote in any economic policy which has no downside however. Such as the first event. +3 happiness, -$3 income is not disputable or worth discussing. If you don't like it, then convince us with your words we're wrong. I grew up in a law enforcement family, I learned to handle a weapon before I could read a book. The first rule is to never point your weapon at someone you don't intend on using it on. But throughout my life I've also learned that words can be a whole lot more effective than threats with people willing to be reasonable, as we've shown numerous times. So will FAN ever step up and tell the OWF that Conundrum is acting on his own accord and they regret his hasty decisions? I'm tired of hearing it from Mackay when FAN's government hasn't been telling him everything from the beginning.
  20. FAN is upset we didn't consult with them prior to making our decision. They aren't declaring on us at this time, although they aren't ruling it out next time if we vote in a policy which does not serve their nations judging by this post. That's basically what this boils down to. FAN is aware the events are providing economic profit to their nations not presently purchasing nukes or under the ~4k infra mark depending on various nation building factors. tJL however has been up front from the start about our intentions with FAN. We will not be picking the policy that roleplays the best, we will be picking the policies that benefit others economically the best. In the future if FAN wishes to discuss this event without pulling out their guns they have sent a great diplomat to our forums who is doing all of the work for them in trying to communicate despite not being given all of the information he needs to do so with. FAN can make a case for why tJL or other yellow senators should have NOT boosted the economies of their various constituents in this situation. And I can only surmise that the argument to be made is one in which you will be purchasing nuclear weapons sometime within that 30 day window. Since only Mackay has visited our forums, I'll leave that here to ensure the message is understood on both sides clearly. tJL is not here to do what FAN wants us to, we will gladly discuss events with you like normal people though. Unfortunately future discussions seem set to be done in back-alleyways with a loaded shotgun and a couple of hand grenades at the table, rather than at the bar with a couple of beers in hand.
  21. So you decide to passive aggressively threaten us now?
  22. There's much angst held on yellow presently as "Say No To Nukes" was passed. I'm curious from un-impacted parties, would you have been for or against such a motion if it were an individual event for your nation?
