"Its obvious now that they are going to mass at Utrecht. The 9th Tank company is cut off heading towards Doetinchem, and the 15th unit is in northern Netherlands."

Obvious course of action:

- Take Arnhem, resupply and restock

- advance towards Doetinchem with Drakonians and Greenlandian armies, crush them.

- Send a detachment towards the 15th unit in the north near Zwolle

- Amass and destroy the resistance at Ultrecht, advance towards Rotterdam

- Win.

We will need the support of ALL allies for this course of action. The Krieg and Dutch forces will advance to Arnhem and prepare for a joint assualt on Doetinchem with our other allies.

After a thirteen hour emergency session in the Imperial Capital Building, His Holy Quintessence, God-Emperor KY PAX and the Imperial Executive Council have come to reason that a nation that is unable to respect the soverignty of another, and refuses to desist in the face of insurmountable international pressure is the worst type of rogue state, and must be dealt with.

The Imperium of Poliz hereby declares a State of War with the Nation of Dranagg.

Legio III is prepared for mobilisation.

Legio IV is prepared for mobilisation.

Legio V is prepared for mobilisation.

The Imperium of Poliz hereby requests permission to pass through Slavorussian and Prussian airspace to deploy our troops.

In recognition of the fact that the nation of Dranagg has not directly caused the Imperium of Poliz harm to our own soverignty or stability, we are not declaring war on the basis of a Casus Belli.

Two of our allies are currently engaged in hostilities, as is a significant number of European nations, and there is even intercontinental co-operation. The formal request of the Empire of Krieg to join them in this conflict is no small compulsion, but we cannot legally declare war on its basis alone.

Therefore, by the doctrine of Jus ad bellum, furthered by the above points, we stand to justify our actions:

Just Cause - The defence of innocents who are incapable or almost incapable of defending themselves, and to restore proper order to the region and continent.

Airstrip Deelen is not secure (close to Arnhem) and the closest airport of any significance is at Eindhoven. Therefore we ask you to assemble at Eindhoven and march north and send the reserves to s-Hertogenbosch. In the meanwhile Dutch forces will try to take Deelen Airstrip, close to Ede.

Currently, the first soldiers are arriving near Doetinchern by plane, the rest of the forces currently travelling through Prussia to arrive near Arnheim and support Krieg and EU forces.

Roughly 2,000 men and a number of tanks have arrived in Doetinchern and are reorganising to move against Dranagg forces at Arnheim. More troops will arrive over time, with an entire division planned to be brought by plane, two by land, not counting tanks and other vehicles.

Austrian fighters have begun to search for Dranaggian planes to engage them, while CAS planes will fly sorties against hostile ground forces do disorganise and decimate them.

France will remain neutral in this conflict. Our borders are opened, with checkpoints manned by several military units. They will assist any refugees fleeing the sites of combat. Food, water and shelter are prepared in plentiful numbers.

At this time it was a secret ultimatum, who declared war and how did they know?

The Republic is just as surprised as the Empire is. We have given express order to open fire on all Dranagg soldiers.

And we call upon our Allies to assist us. This is an attack on our sovereignty by a nation declaring to be a friend.

UPDATE: All Norman forces that were still in the Netherlands have been re-armed and placed under Dutch command. The Republic will fight.

At this time most Dutch units were compromised by Dranagg and the President was being given an ultimatum at gunpoint - how exactly were these unit placed back under Dutch command?

OOC: Flanders is Dutch, Wallonia French (apart from Walloon Brabant and some villages around Liege) And Southern Flanders around Rijssel and Kales and the bulk of Artois (Artesië) is also Dutch. So you occupy the east of Belgium.

IC: The 8th Division after reaching Utrecht immediately started to assist the 4th Division in setting land mines or demo charges around the city. A mostly empty city now that most of the civilian population had been moved out of an area about to be hit by about 200,000 soldiers in the East. Meaning that civilian casualties will be almost non-existent.

In Rotterdam the 1st division and 8th Tank company have arrived. Also the 1st Tank company has arrived. The 2nd Division appears to be missing.
