News, in today's world, travelled fast. When he checked into a nearby inn for the night, the only TV held images of the robot...the same robot they had thought vanquished in Jerusalem.

He sighed, then grabbing the remains of his meal, set off once again, eating as he ran, and hoping against hope he could get there in time.

Just like the encounter in Jerusalem, Kevin walked out of the Dark Corridors and took up a position atop a building in the city. At the first sign of seismological danger, he would surround himself in an orb of defensive energy and continue to observe.

More pain. The prime minister tried to shake himself awake, but couldn't; instead, he was treated to a vision of Hong Kong exploding. It was pretty abrupt, but it was vivid nonetheless. He woke up with a start. The prime minister groggily looked around. It looked like the capitol building was ripped in half. People were screaming, and the dust was still settling. It was exactly as he had foreseen before the building exploded. He got to his feet slowly.

"What the hell was that?" The prime minister looked around wearily, and then he saw it. It looked like a robot, more specifically it looked exactly like what caused all the problems in Jerusalem. It quickly began spinning, then slammed himself into the ground. The shockwave knocked the prime minister off balance as the robot dug below the surface. "Jesus." The prime minister ignored all logical instincts and approached the hole; however, he stopped dead in his tracks.

There was a dragon in plain sight. The prime minister rubbed his eyes and looked at it again. Still there. "What the f-" Suddenly, the prime minister's head seared with pain again, and he grabbed it as he fell to his knees. The explosion flashed through his mind again.

At the time the giant robot had emerged, Valdis had just looked at it, much in the same way the dragon flying overhead caught her interest. She recognized both of them from the video footage earlier, and realized this was a good opportunity to analyze what she would be dealing with firsthand. Battles meant factions, and she wanted to make sure she ended up in the right one (read: the one with the highest survivability factor).

She could sense no death in the robot, in contrary to the dragon above, so that was a couple of points in its favor so far. It also seemed much less keen on fighting as opposed to the robot's wanton destruction, which indicated that it would be much less likely to shoot first and ask questions later.

A building blew up a few blocks away, and she started making a list of the robot's abilities. A giant arm cannon, capable of destroying a wide area in a single explosion. It was probable that it wouldn't explode if it didn't hit anything. The flamer was a bit surprising, but she figured it would be needing it for close range combat or other situation where its cannon would be at a disadvantage. What else... armor unknown, but powerful, ability to fly -- another pain in the $@! -- and, she noted as it drilled itself underground, excellent defensive systems.

With it getting away however, she looked up towards the dragon, and what appeared to be a much smaller, almost human sized version of the robot appeared, arm cannon incluis. The smaller version shot something at the robot, which probably meant it was on the dragon's side. She sighed, knowing she would need a way up. This was going to hurt...

Hunching over, she focused her power to her shoulder blades, wincing as pain radiated from the area. To someone standing behind her, her skin appeared to warp and twist as the bones underneath were shifting. Then, shards of bone shot out, spraying an unhealthy amount of blood out on the wall behind her as the bones continued to expand, forming into bat-like wings. The wound on her back closed at a visible rate, and aside from taking a couple of deep breaths and sweating a little there was no other sign of weakness to be seen on her.

Spreading her wings out to a massive wingspan of sixteen feet, she lifted off the ground, flying up to the dragon. Her skin became thicker and wrinkled as she flew, shedding it into a layer of dried leather to cover her upper body and restore her destroyed clothing again. Almost as a sidethought, spikes and plates of bone reinforced her clothing, in case it would be needed. Flying up to the dragon, she looked at it, sensing the death in it while feeling the lack of it from the nanobots in its system. Not knowing about the nanobots, she flew in front of the dragon's head, tilting her head slightly as she frowned in thought.

- "What is... your purpose?"

It evaluated the creature before it while replying, "I have many. First is to Serve God and keep his commandments. Second is to protect the family and friends that I have.. which are few. Third is to protect the people of this planet from needles slaughter. Fourth is to govern my Empire. Fifth is to govern my state.. the list goes on, but these are the highest priority." It stayed at altitude. It was still evaluating the robot as it was proving difficult to destroy and methods of dismantling and/or weakening it are few.

"We would ask of you the same."

Standing on the rooftop of a small office building Generalissimo couldn’t help watching the encounter between Maelstrom and N-17, perhaps he was underestimating the Chairman – it was something to take into consideration at the next meeting, if he survived to the next meeting.

Valdis’s appearance wasn’t calculated, but not entirely unexpected.

Lost in his own observations of the unfolding scene Generalissimo almost forgot his command responsibilities.

“Status update, do we have still have armour?”

My men have two Centurions operational again, but I don’t see what good it’s doing to do us against that thing. The EMP took out most of our heavy equiptment, and we’ve taken over seventy percent casualties . . . Now might be a good time to withdraw.
“Considering what we’re fighting a seventy percent casualty rate isn’t a bad thing, it means thirty percent of our forces still combat capable.

You're doing a great job, keep fighting.”

Are you insane? Our weapons don’t phase it and we’re getting set on fire.

If we take advantage of the dragon’s distraction we might make it out of here alive.

With all do respect sir, without reinforcements we’re done. . .

A flaming sphere, brilliantly lighting up the Hong Kong skyline, rapidly descends to Earth, eventually colliding with the cityscape swallowing everything around it in shockwave.

Somehow not a single Procinctian or allied soldier was caught in even in the impact’s the dust cloud, as if Generalissimo had placed his forces with this very event in mind.

What the $%#@ is that?
“Grey Fist, a dropship of sorts – consider it your reinforcements.” Edited by Generalissimo

While it was out of the ocean.. the entity known as the Chairman, or Maelstrom, or that damned dragon.. got an idea. He went to one of the largest Tungsten Carbide plants in Dragonisia. He picked up a 30-foot long, 3 foot diameter section of the material. It was as tall as he is and many times as heavy. He was still able to lift it though because of the immense weight/lift capacity of his frame. He held it in his arms across his chest and using the magnetic drives lifted himself into the upper atmosphere and moved back over Hong-Kong..

He searched for N-17 among the wreckage...

OOC: Rod of God, lol. Launched by a goddamn dragon.

Just note that jet drives and wings don't function well in the upper atmosphere due to not enough air. :v:

IC:

While the Chairman was aiming for a target about twice or so the size of a truck, a space shuttle coincidentially flew past him with an incredible speed, the tip (which was facing downwards) burning like a star. It was only some hundred meters away from Maelstrom as it sped down to earth.

Within it, Dr. Doom watched the current events unfold as they did, though one could say he was quite suprised at a goddamned dragon trying to use a tungsten rod to bombard a highly agile target that could simply burrow itself or shoot the tungsten rod with its powerful weapons. If the rod hit the target, then it could very well just annihilate it, but if not...Well, then there would be quite some collateral damage.

And Doom wanted to see that.

Valdis was about to speak when the dragon zipped off to a faraway place, likely due to him being in the middle of a battle. So she waited, using the time to grow feathers on her wings as it was getting rather cold that high up, and the added insulation would be nice. Something crashed, and there was a shockwave, but the impact only made her lose a couple of hundred feet before the damage regenerated and she regained her former altitude again. When the great dragon returned, holding a rod of some kind that she saw as a two handed club of some kind, and she flew to its side again to well... not mess up his aim talking.

- "You control an empire? We have no memories of this... We are called Valdis, and our purpose is unknown to us. We have powers, and since you have them as well we sought you out, hoping you could tell us why we exist."

She waited on the dragon to answer again, keeping her memories at the ready of what she could remember of her other lives. Some held knowledge of dragons, though it differed widely depending on whose memory she accessed, and she found herself strangely looking forward to figuring out what abilities dragons had firsthand.

Maelstrom was running out of Bibles. "You seek purpose? Read this. Those of capable mind serve their purposes.." He was still trying to acquire the robot below. Then he noticed the attack.. but didn't know how to react..

N-17 picked his moment. Just as the dropshop collided with the earth above him, he struck - the only evidence of what he was doing would be beams of green light. A massive wave of green energy erupted from his cannon, rapidly moving up thousands of feet of earth and condensing into a single point of impact. As it reached the surface, the energy ricocheted downwards, a solitary beam of light easily visible through the dirt, earth and rubble above it. Seconds later, it hit a pocket of magma. N-17 fired again. And again, and again, and again. These massive shots radiated outwards at different speeds, then they each met a certain point and stopped.

Come on back.

The energy erupted in massive pillars, forming an almost perfect circle several miles wide, and then they stopped. For a few brief moments, it looked like nothing would happen - and then everything went to hell at once. N-17 didn't know geological terms or all that !@#$%^&*, what it did know what this: there were two ultimate weapons aboard N-17, and it just fired one. Ten minutes of furious agony later, this stood directly in the middle of Hong Kong.

OOC: Some confusion with the spacecraft it seems (I probebly worded something wrong) : the Grey Fist (was) a ~900 meter-long space ship, now ~450 meters, and it was a Battlecruiser. The 4 "Drop Ships" (I posted a picutre of one) were inside of the Grey Fist battlecruiser (thus much smaller), with three attempting to escape and being destroyed. There is one more "Drop Ship", which I shall RP as it is the only one with survivors. /OOC

The Grey Fist detonated. From both the space ship's destructive shockwave and N-17's superweapon the city of Hong Kong was destroyed, suprisingly without casualties from Generalissimo's soilders (other than a cut from some flying glass on one man's pinky). But part of the Grey Fist was intact, primarially its military bay. Even through the first several minutes of chaos and destruction, the Grey Fist's armor held up under the strain. But its weakened state from being half a ship meant it did not last much long, the alien metals joining the mass.

When it was all over and finished, only fragments of the Grey Fist remained on the surface; but somewhere in the pile of depris lie two things: part of the Grey Fist's military bay, and an attached mini-telewarp station. But her on-board crew were all dead in the destruction.

Above the remains of Hong Kong, a Dropship struggles to slow down in Earth's Atmospere.

Gundran held the thrust lever at maximum speed. "Increase the power by three points." Beckoned Gundran at Commander Pete. Pete shook his head and turned the power up. "When we actually start hovering, start turning down the power. I'm aiming to land at the side of the mountain we...created somehow." The ship shuttered as the final blastwave of air hit them from the destruction a few minutes ago. The men below sat strapped to their seats with their weapons, several preparing the Artillary and two Assault Tanks. The ship's computer tracked the massive flying "beast" with the slug-core guns (ammunition: hard outside to puncture metal/superheated slug inside for further damage), along with anything that moved.

Time passes by as they successfully slow down, hover, then continue their decent to the edge of the new mountain. The computer deems the planet safe for their travel.

The landing gear is released as they come close to the ground, landing moments later. The ship sat there, seeming to do nothing. Inside, the space travelers prepared to leave and see what's out there. The computer took control of the guns, ready to fire at anything proving hostile.

Lorebit: The computers used are not electical metal-based like our computers, but the next step up: organic computers. Powerful, compact, and naturally "smarter". A computer is really a colony of these cell computers, and each one has a very small intelligence of its own. They naturally stop anything from taking control of them, and only respond to a physical console.

Pain...

Rage...

So much... Death

Valdis could almost feel the people below her die. Sensing death was an ability she had only recently started to form, but due to the sheer massiveness of an entire city dying at once it was almost impossible for her not to take notice of it.Looking at the book the dragon gave her, she decided to read it later and hold onto it for now.

Due to his presence right next to her, Maelstrom would have little trouble noticing the horizontal tear that appeared in her abdomen, opening up to reveal a mouth lined with several rows of sharp, serrated teeth. Valdis placed the book inside it, having a long pointed tongue wrap around the leather, pulling it in as the jaws closed and the tear healed up without a scar. The smell of blood was obvious.

She felt them again. Felt the spirits of the dead cry out in pain, in rage at N-17 about their untimely deaths. Almost without realising what she was doing, she answered their call, guiding them to the only path where they would be able to enact vengeance. Through her. A stream of incorporeal energy flowed from the ruined city towards her, enveloping her in a translucent glow as the power of countless dead surged through her being. Emotions filled her mind, rage and sadness and pain and hope all flowed into one, all wanting to become a weapon to strike back at the metallic giant.

She started murmuring something in an ancient language, closing her eyes as she focused the spell. After a minute, the spell was ready, and she fired it into the clouds gathering over the volcano, and waited to see the outcome of... whatever it was that she did. To her conscious mind this was the first time she had attempted something on this scale, and she believed it interesting to see the results.

The effect was surprising to say the least.

The clouds packed closer together, moving faster as if completely ignoring the winds that whipped around them until one large cloud was visible, unmoving. Said cloud then suddenly dove down at N-17 at high speeds, forming what appeared to be a fist with which it sought to annihilate the machine and tear it to shreds with the fist of an angry god.

Dr. Doom's shuttle landed, roughly a hundred kilometers away from the destruction in Hong Kong. Originally, he only wanted to land ten kilometers away, but the recent amount of destruction showed him that a somewhat bigger safety distance was required. Once landed, he activated the artificial gravity, letting him float flowly upwards, but at accelerating speeds. He turned, towards Hong Kong, preparing his weapons and setting all systems to maximum power output.

Right now, this silly little man required the power output of half the Dragon Empire, most of it going into the artificial gravity. Anyone with good enough sensors would see him coming, but that didn't concern him. He wanted to see the power of his possible to-be opponents from a closer perspective.

Interesting times were ahead.

The C130 of Nod does several fly bys of whats left of Hong Kong. Noticing that landing this beast is a really bad idea, Kane and Katrina get very interesting smiles on their faces.

A few minutes and two parachutes later, Kane and Katrina drop from the plane and descend via HALO to find N17.

Unknowingly, the Elementalist passed quite close to the landing point of Doom's shuttle...but he could hardly miss it when the thing actually landed. He came to an abrupt halt as he spotted the occupant climb out and rise upawrd as if weightless.

He was almost curious about this being, and as they seemed to be going in the same direction, he decided to follow this...thing.

Which could probably sense him if it was paying the least bit of attention.

Gundran's dropship bay doors slowly opened, the 30 battle-armor-clad soilders appearing first. The twin walkers [pictured in the dropship picture] and 10 "lighter" soilders followed. The ship's AI watched the dropship's defences with Pete, while Gundran headed out on foot as a light soilder.

No hostiles were seen, thus Pete checked the equipment.

"Mic check and HUD, call in." The men call in, all working nicely.

Gundran loooked at the mountain and crater around them, along with shards of destroyed structures. "S***. Let's hope they're still primitive." He aims the electronics-based rifle scope at the top of the mountain. "Hmmph. Looks like a tough lot; theres a humanoid figure up there." He looks at other peculiar details. "Whoa, some massive...fist up there. Holy man, you think we're on one of those rumored"god-world"'s?"

Pete opens a private comlink channel with Gundran. "Gundran, the last thing we need is fear. Unless their hostile, dont say anything."

"I'm doing recon, ain't I suppo..."

"There are sensors on your own ship." Pete could hear Gundran sigh and exit the channel. Pete smiled from the thought that he was actually commanding..

In reality, Gundran was doing the opposite. He thought there was no going home, and he still wanted answers for why they were here.. He got a stashed hoverbike, activated it, and screamed out of the hanger. He would find someone and get his answers.

Dr. Doom stopped abruptly, turning around towards the person following him. He crossed his arms, waiting for this Being to catch up, so that he could find out what it was and what powers it possibly had.
