Describe Personality: Outwardly friendly, prides himself on being reasonable. Very low tolerance for what he sees as !@#$%^&*, and doesn't have much patience for unnecessary ceremony. Peers would describe him as unforgiving and ruthless to his enemies. Some other peers would call him mildly paranoid.

Additional Information:

Born to a moderately wealthy German family with insignificant ties to past nobility, Uberstein studied political science and economics in Bavaria prior to the outbreak of the nuclear conflict. During and after the conflict, he somehow found his way to Riga, along with a small group of friends, and managed to organize a bloody and violent coup of what remained of the government of Latvia. While storming Riga Castle, his leg was injured, giving him a limp. While he consolidated power in Latvia, his fellow revolutionary Loviise Kadri did much of the diplomatic work of bringing Estonia and Lithuania into the union.

 

Several attempted coups have led him to become increasingly paranoid when it comes to security. He almost always carries a concealed snub-nosed revolver a shoulder holster, and will usually not travel outside of the Baltic Union. It is not uncommon for him to randomly send body doubles to speeches or meetings in his place. However, the combination of his cult of personality and zealous investigations into government and military personnel make his elevated security likely unnecessary.

 

He is unmarried, and has no ongoing romantic relationships.

Describe Personality: A bookish and very organized woman. She is a true believer in Ubersteinianism, and was one of the first to help Uberstein.

Additional Information:

One of the few people Uberstein fully trusts, she was effectively the real force that made his revolution possible. While Uberstein was an ideological lynchpin, she was the sole organizational force behind his revolution until roughly a month after they had taken Riga. She also wrote large sections of the constitution.

 

Her hearing was damaged after a failed attempt on her life with high explosives.

 

She is married to the Minister of the Interior, Tuule Kadri (F, 42). They have two adopted children (Leelo 8, Aleksander 9) and a tabby cat (Lõvi).

Describe Personality: Kazuko is a blend of traditional Japanese and a more modern style, constantly conflicting inside her internally, to most in meetings she is cool to outsiders but to those who actually spend time around her she is quite relaxed and almost silly, though its rare as the head of state to get intimate friends often.

Additional Information: Advanced training in Hand to Hand combat(Aikido, Jujutsu), and Personal Defense(Shorinji Kempo). completed the training regiment for the Japanese Special Operations. Jūdan in Iaido, Iaijutsu, Kenjutsu, and Kendo. Since the Nuclear attacks against Japan she is rarely seen without the Sword of Axum, an intricate blade with very delicate series of etchings of cherry blossoms on the hand guard, in a Russian Olive wood scabbard that has a steel end cap with etchings of cherry blossoms on it.

 

Currently suffers from some level of Complex PTSD due to the ordering the death of 220 million Chinese civilians over what was later discovered to be a terrorist attack by an unknown third party. Due to her position it has gone for the most part untreated, but it has been suspected by a number of cabinet members and close friends..

Wimbledon is very fond of formula one racing and is considered to be a "Ferrari fanboy". He stands that America should dictate America and that other regional powers should stay out of the hemisphere.

Physical Description:

The physical identity of Maelstrom Vortex has varied and given his role in society as a religious icon has lead to broad spectrum of interpretations. Some say he doesn't even have a set physical incarnation, that it literally varies at his whim. The most popular cultural depictions of the Dreamer have been an older man with greying hair and jade green eyes. But his age has varied in these reports, though the commonality of green eyes and greying hair has not varied. The truth faithful who surround him claim he is a Spirit of unknown years who due to its roles as the Dreamer and Imaginer of the state may in fact be timeless. They claimed the Dreamer's preferred form is a Six Winged Seraphim-like Dragon and that the Dreamer itself believes itself to be the servant of a God of itself.. and other dreamers on a higher level of existence. In the hard cold reality of the current world, the current version of Maelstrom, his family and friends are only a handful of survivors of an exploded world inhabited by 12-13 foot long/tall dragons but after having been reunited with the Amulets of the Dreamer, he has rarely retained this state. The personality of the Dreamer having overwhelmed the personality of the dream it possessed.

 

Personality:

 

As unpredictable and tumultuous as his own name, Maelstrom knows how his society views them and knows the more faithful to his religion are correct. He does not consider himself to be a megalomaniac but realizes he may seem that way to others, especially those who do not share the faith of his people. He tries to listen more than talk, but finds it difficult in such an irrational world. He frequently defers major foreign affairs decisions to his allies rather than preferring to make them on his own despite the fact his state carries most of the power among them. He attempts to make peace, but often finds difficulty finding peace with himself let alone the world around him. Frustrated, he often shuts the doors on the world and lets his "dreams" handle the tasks he would directly lending the affairs of state and foreign affairs to his closest associates, King Wangchuck of Druk Yul and Yun Li his foreign minister. He rarely leaves his domain and those of his allies for fear of reprisals. His state of being is not a commonly shared world-view.

Character's Profession: Alleged Reality Builder, Shadow Emperor of Druk Yul, an awakened one of many Dreamers in the pantheon of dreams.

Additional Information:

Maelstrom has a wife named Koudoawaia. She loves him dearly and he tries to keep her sheltered from the storms of the world. He also has a son named Sterling, who is part of his dream, yet shared with another. Sterling is currently in a relationship Empress Mei of Shanghai and they currently have a Daughter.. Maelstrom's Granddaughter, whose name is Adria. Despite loving them all dearly, the affairs of the world and his role in his culture often keeps him away from them.

 

A quote given to one of his faithful: "My power in this world is far from unlimited. My influence doesn't travel far from Druk Yul, nor does it need. The thoughts of other dreamers restrain me lest my mind should wonder and the dream unravel. But what kind of creator would I be if I did not live among my creations at least once?"
