TheShammySocialist
So yes, I'm thinking of organizing a chracter roleplay surrounding the search for an El Dorado (City of Gold, basically) of sorts in South-Central Venezuela, which will involve both a river and land expedition up the Orinoco River. I want to see what kind of interest there is for such a group roleplay, after the Rio Negro expedition kind of petered out back in December, though that expedition had a lot of good roleplay involved in it. I'd kind of like to resurrect that idea, although this might not be as dark and gritty, but it might have plenty of surprises involved for those who come along for the ride. I have a framework in my mind of how the expedition will go, which will include a surprise climax, and the possibility of death for characters will be relatively high, as will the potential for lots of fun and quality roleplay. If there is a solid group of individuals willing to partake in this expedition, say six to eight individuals, I'll start us off as soon as possible! So, anyone interested? If so, what kind of role would you want to be in the expedition? What kind of employment would your person be involved in? There will be an official IC post for this, but I want to see what kind of character people might want to play beforehand.

Kevin Kingswell
I would join as a young american freelance treasure hunter who is out more for the exploration and excitement than the chance of getting rich. being young he would have little experience but would be full of attitude and bravado. Need a name for him though something Smith I think.
Subtleknifewielder
I would definitely join as a grizzled, middle-aged Australian veteran, probably to serve as a guard on the trip in the event of encountering any hostiles.

Owned-You
Well considering my current President was on that original trip I don't think he'll be on board... but I'll think about creating a character for this.
Shadow hawk
I could join as a young adult by the name of Raimund Côté. A young Newfoundland born hunter who hopes to travel to further his experiences, wisdom, and wealth.

MostGloriousLeader
Milton Hershey III, former CEO and chairman of the Hershey corporation who retired and now lives a life seeking adventure and thrills at the nice ripe age of 68. Former Vietnam war veteran who's kind of lost his mind a bit over the years but he still remembers how to survive in the jungle and has kept fit even with his age. Can bench-press 275 lbs. Also has a business purpose on the side scouting out good areas to expand cocoa production for the Hershey Corporation cause he's also handy with that stuff. Will bring lots of chocolate for the trip.
