The Order of Light

When Theo was brought up to Bridgette's private quarters and the doors closed behind him, he would know that he was alone with the woman and there would be no escape from his desired audience. The room was empty when he first walked in, but lavishly decorated in the fashion of an island getaway. There was no heavy furniture to be found, sofas and chairs were lightly cushioned and a few of the chairs were thatched with narrow and flexible straw. Her desk at the center of the room was thin, a few pieces of finely carved mahogany planks with sweet smelling orchids arranged near her computer. For the room of a madwoman, she did have a taste in refinery and culture.

"Ah, Theo." A voice sounded from outside on the veranda. "I didn't hear you come in." Bridgette said walking out from the outside balcony. She had dropped her dress for something more loose and flowing, a blue sundress with an opal broach at the middle of her chest. Her hair hung low, covering her shoulders and she approached him holding a glass of rum punch. "Can I offer you something to drink? Glass of rum and punch or maybe something a bit lighter?" Turning her back to him at the cabinet of bottles, she smiled deviously as she took another sip of her drink. "So what do I owe the pleasure of your visit Theo? And also," she turned back with sincere serenity in her eyes. "I do apologize for my earlier actions. I try not to 'slip' especially in front of people like yourself."

Bridgette stopped close to Theo and looked up into his eyes. "So, what can I help you with?"

Europe had been quite cold to Kevin seeing as how he was a native of Islz Cruz, where his main base of operations was located, and so was glad to feel the warmth on his skin again. He quickly removed his suit's jackets and undid the first few buttons of his shirt to allow the breeze to brush lightly across his exposed flesh. Breathing in the fresh salty air he smiled and looked around at the island and its people, his discomfort in his shoulder forgotten in those few moments.

However, this wasn't the time to be relaxing and turning away from the view he listened to Bridgette's instructions. After she finished he watched her leave for her mansion and decided to take a walk up towards her mansion so that he could take a closer look at her people. As he walked he remembered that this was a lot like his home back in Islz Cruz, the same scenary and even same sort of clothing in some cases and yet it was also different in so many ways.

It didn't take long for Kevin to arrive at the mansion and he found Theo waiting at the front door, clearly wishing to speak to Bridgette herself first. Clearly there was something between the two of them as out of everyone present he was the only one to have not been given an assignment. Regardless whatever it was between them had nothing to do with himself and he was here more to ask for directions and information on Bridgette's capabilities and resources than for conversation.

However, before he could even introduce himself to Theo the man was allowed inside the mansion and the front doors closed. Not sure on whether or not to knock himself Kevin decided he might as well after all there was hopefully some sort of servant or more importantly some sort of military or security staff he could converse with which was his goal here.

Walking up to the front door Kevin would knock just loud enough to attract any servants waiting for guests whilst hopefully not being too loud to interrupt Bridgette and her guest. If a servant or other such person answered the door Kevin would ask if there was anyone he could see about learning about what information and resources Bridgette had at her command without actually having to go to the lady herself.

Theo would follow the aide closely, his sword lightly jingling in its scabbard as he was taken to Bridgette's office, as he stepped inside the door. He admired the room for its simplicity, and its warm, inviting demeanor, unlike many of the European residences he had lived in, this one fit with this island paradise. Of course, this paradise could hold a deep dark secret, and there was no telling or no word as to what had happened to the foolish individuals who had been caught trying to intrude on the meeting in Sweden. He pushed those thoughts aside, whatever had possessed those men to intrude on the meeting he knew not, but it was their choice, and they probably knew they were walking into danger. Theo lived every day knowing that breaths, minutes, even seconds of ones' life were precious.

He was lost in his own thoughts when Bridgette appeared from the balcony, in a much more lighter attire then what he had first seen her. Without the formal attire she wore, he felt more at ease, the office adding to that ease, his shoulders relaxed, and his hands clasped behind his back. He nodded when she greeted him, before responding, "A rum and punch would be just fine." He would nod lightly at her apology, "As the leader of this entire affair, I would expect you to make sure you asserted control over the meeting," he paused, before continuing, with a small laugh, "Although I must say, being able to hurl two fully grown men across a room is not an ability to scoff at. I accept your apology, what happened, happened, it is water that has since passed over the dam, and under the bridge, so to speak. And I have my serious doubts that you would do that in front of me right now." He picked his words carefully, but spoke in a calm and relaxed manner, nervous about her abilities, but her entire demeanor and her apology had put him, for the most part, at ease.

"I daresay, though, it was quite obvious you skipped over vocalizing your part for me in this entire plot on the plane, in front of the others; and I was wondering what role I was to play in this?" he asked, his body relaxed and at ease despite Bridgette taking a step closer to him. He had seen the power she had possessed already, yet he was able to force those thoughts out of his mind as he spoke to the alluring ex-Chancellor before him, his voice remaining even and calm.

Bridgette smiled and walked towards the drink cabinet to put a drink together for Theo. Once it was made, she passed it into his hands and walked out onto the balcony, beckoning him to follow her. The sun had begun to set and a milky evening light was passing across the island as the southern cross appeared bright and bold in the sky. "You're right, I didn't mention you, because I have other plans for someone of your caliber Theo." She turned around, resting her back against the rail of the balcony and looked up into his face.

"There were probably only a handful of men back there that I actually trusted. The rest, I could see the failure written in their eyes. If they even go through the first parts of my assignments in one piece I will be shocked. But a few of you showed actual promise and I am anxious to see who actually crosses the threshold or gets left behind. Either or, it's just dead skin." She took a sip and her grin drew up around the glass. "But you Theo, I see true potential, someone modest, someone who had a background that isn't yet compromised, in a way you're my last avenue back to the real world from this pathetic life I lead." Bridgette turned and ran a hand through her hair. "It gets lonely sometimes Theo, here, surrounded by vipers, harboring...this..." She held up her hand and looked at it intensely. "...this monster."

Bridgette looked up at him and smiled. "I think I can trust you and that's why I didn't give you an assignment. I want to get to know you." Her eyelashes batted. "I try not to rush into things, but I never know when my last day on earth is going to come and I've learned to throw caution to the wind." She said reaching across the balcony and taking his hand. "That is the role I want you to play."

Theo would nod in thanks as she handed him the drink, and followed her out onto the balcony, the sun was setting on this day, and a long day it had been. He admired the view she enjoyed from her office, and listened attentively to her words. Taking a sip of his drink and nodding as she explained her actions earlier on the plane, growing accustomed to standing close to her, he stayed relaxed as she spoke of them. The same theme of her earlier pronouncement returned, dead skin, those that were going to fail would be left behind, to rot in jail or in an unknown grave for their crimes if they were caught. Or even falling victim to the woman who stood next to him.

But his mind was quickly thrown for a proverbially loop when she started speaking to him direct about his own potential, the potential for something more than just a leader-follower relationship, and he lightly blushed. The small smiles she had thrown him at various points in the day had not been lost to him, but as she opened up further to him, his mind began questioning the true intentions of why he had come up to the mansion. Had he just come up here to question what his role would have been? Or had he come up here, because, subconsciously, he had another thought on his mind? It was one thing when someone opened up to you about their plottings, but it was a totally different type of feeling of trust one had when they took their own faults and put them in the spotlight, opened their feelings up to another individual. As he watched Bridgette look at her hand, and as if in open disdain for the power she possessed within her, a tinge of sympathy poured from Theo's insides, but he kept eye contact with her nonetheless.

He gave her a genuine smile when she smiled at him after her statement, and he nodded affirmatively to her words as she spoke of counting life's days as precious. He finally spoke, able to connect with her, as she had opened up to him, to expose her own faults in front of him. "As a soldier, you can never know when your last day may come, you may die in training, you may die from a bomb that was dropped from a friendly plane, or you may die taking an enemy's bullet through one's innards. You learn to live day by day and take opportunity when it comes." As Theo took her hand in his gently, he brought it up to his lips and kissed it. "And if we are to die for what we accomplish, or do not accomplish, and the fates' odds are not kind to us, then I would say it would have been a missed opportunity if I were to not get to know you, Bridgette Saengar."

Meanwhile in Angers Jesse and Brian could find to trace of treachery from Geoffrey. Everyone they talked to said that Paul and Geoffrey seemed to like each other like brothers and could not imagine one of them betraying the other. "I'm telling you Jesse we will not find any proof of treachery here. If he was planning it then no one else here knew about it. We should go back to Paris and see if Renard found anything useful."

"I just still can't believe that Geoffrey would go to something like that without even telling anybody. I mean he wouldn't join someone that is evil like Bridgette without reason. If Geoffrey was not thinking from his own mind than we have to find out if someone was controlling him, and if so who."

Meanwhile Geoffrey and Ben were a little scared but they didn't show it much. They didn't know exactly what was going to happen to them but if they were going to change into something else they would try not to show fear while doing so. Showing fear would only aid the enemy more.

"I had everything under control until you showed up. If you are not Geoffrey than who the $%&@ are you anyways?!"

Being intentionally obtuse to Paul, "I am who I am." More direct to Bridgette, "However, I am most certainly NOT a cultist."

Peter had been watching the Andorran's theatrics with some interest. Despite his best efforts the Andorran was doing a poor job at concealing his true intentions so Peter wasnt too surprised when Bridgette turned on him and that odd lizard creature. The speed and ferocity with which Bridgette turned on them was too much however. He slammed his palm down on the table and burst out a deep, booming laugh.Bahahaha, ohh this is all too rich milady. Why leave? Why not just kill these two now and continue with our discussion. He paused for a moment, thinking. A hint of a smile began to creep across the corners of his mouth. I think a dead Duke would be an excellent way to show these powerbrokers you speak of that there is a new force in the world, think of the message it would send.He stood and slowly walked around the table to where the guards were holding Paul and the lizard. His hand drifted to the hilt of the sabre he wore on his hip, his eyes locked on the Andorran Duke.

"I don't know what you intend, but attempting to harm me would not be wise. I will do whatever Bridgette wishes for the moment and she will find me of some value in time."

At some point, the entity that appeared to be Geoffrey was taken prisoner. But an odd thing would occur, he appeared to go into a trance-like state.. semi-conscious, while he responded to direction to take him into custody with little or no resistance, it was like he was not fully aware of what was happening to him. What caused this would remain a mystery, but sometime later he would waken.. apparently in a cell.

"Hrmm.. I wonder what happened." He would try to draw the attention of the guards and request to speak to Bridgette about the contents of a certain briefcase he had brought with him that was missing.

He was somewhat amused that he had been placed in a location that simply could not hold him if he did not wish to be held.

Paul told him it was a bad idea, "I don't know who you really are but if you are as bad as you say you are then you are a threat to everyone here so I can see why she imprisoned you as well. As we speak Jesse and the rest of them are investigating who you are and sooner or later they will come here in force. Jesse has nearly unlimited resources at his disposal and he will put them to good use. He will rescue me and Ben and kill everyone else, including you. Jesse does not tolerate criminals and traitors, he executes them."

Meanwhile Jesse and Brian got back to Paris where Renard was waiting for them, "I have some stuff I want you guys to look at. Listen to what he says again."
"Geoffrey is such an interesting character.. isn't he? But I am not him. I just got lucky and happened to become him." He smiled to Paul. "May the deep one's gaze smile upon you, for I am a herald of Chaos itself. I care not for who controls the world so long as it progresses towards its most entropic state."
Renard continued, "Does the name Deep One sound familiar to any of you."

Jesse was a bit shocked and then angry, "Yes. That is what the cultists called Maelstrom after he died and began to worship him and the so called "Dreamers". They called him the Deep One, they say he might return one day to reconquer what was once his but that is impossible. It can't be Geoffrey, Paul said he knew him too well for him to be a cultist. What we need to do is ask Christine about where he went but I doubt she will talk to us."

Alexis and Daniele then come in and Alexis tells him their idea, "She might not talk to you but she should feel more comfortable talking to us. If she wants to help us prove he is innocent she will tell us where we can find him, otherwise he probably is guilty of treason."

"OK. If she can tell us where he is and we find him we might be able to straighten this out. Otherwise... well lets just say bad things will happen."

When Alexis and Daniele get to the Palace they ask where they can find Christine.

Christine was in her study. When inquired about the location of Geoffrey, she would respond, "He left a letter stating he had to go out of town for some business and would be back in a few days, though he said it could be up to a month. He left me in charge of the Speaker-ship of the Aristocracy in his absence. I thought it was odd, for it's the longest he has been away from me."

## In the jail ##

"Geoffrey is not a traitor." The entity would state to Paul, "He is merely a tool."

Alexis questioned a little further, "Did he talk about this trip at all or did he just leave and left you the note? Did he seem not himself before he left, did he seem different at all?"

Meanwhile Jesse and Brian were still going over the possibilities of what is happening, "Well even if he is not a traitor someone here had to know where he went. Surely there would have been signs that something was wrong with him and they would have told someone. Check his medical records, look for anything out of the ordinary since he got here."

Bridgette blushed and let her hair fall across her face as Theo kissed her hand. "You're too much of a gentlemen, darling. It's about time that someone of such standard get to entertain me, you have quite the honor and I sincerely hope you don't fail at it." Withdrawing her hand back to her side, Bridgette took her drink and eyed the door. "But if you will excuse me, Theo, I have personal business I must attend to." She tapped him on the cheek and walked back into the mansion. "But perhaps later, either today or tomorrow, or the next time we both have some free time. Perhaps we could get to know one another a bit more closely." At that, she sent the Swede out of her quarters and waited for a moment before heading down herself to the lower dungeons where the Lizard and the two Delta Squad members were being held.

Arriving in the dungeon of chrome, Bridgette already found Paul and the Lizard arguing with each other, while Ben sat in another portion quiet and prepared for injection. "Well, Herr Rousseau and do I presume correctly, King Geoffrey of the Angevins. Half of the French nobility in my grasp, you know I could get quite the hefty ransom from both of you, possibly even the very keys to your country." She pulled up a seat in front of the cages and rested her head on her hand. "The world is about to blow up with the collapse of the Middle East, would be the perfect time to strike at the heart of France. So, before I do away with both of you, have you anything to offer me? I know Geoffrey, the guards cut off an encrypted suitcase, I'd be interested to know what the contents were. We know enough that it's not a bomb, so that would be a good way to humor me. Though Paul, I have no idea why I want to keep you around, especially given that I already will have a loyal soldier out of your friend over there."

---

Meanwhile Kevin Kingswell was led to a red-haired woman named Jinho who supervised some of Bridgette's operations. Jinho had worked before in Korea's police department, but after Bridgette had injected her with Serum X-2, the red-haired Zargathian had become a fiercely loyal member of Astrid Corporation. When Kevin arrived, Jinho simply smiled and bowed her head. "What can I help you with sir?"

Theo smiled when she complimented him, letting his eyes close slightly when she touched his cheek and he nodded when she proclaimed that there was other business that she needed to attend to. "I daresay, I look forward to our next meeting, Bridgette. Although this might be but a small trifle, but my commanding officer does not know that I have gallivanted off to some Pacific Paradise. If I am to return to Sweden without facing legal charges, I trust it would not be too much of a hassle to be able to send a message to them?"

"On that note, I shall take my own leave," he said, with a smile.

He would leave the mansion, his mind a whirl of thoughts and emotions, from questioning his true intentions of meeting privately with Bridgette, to thoughts of the relationship he had just entered with a clearly powerful woman. She had opened up to him her own emotions, and he felt sympathy for her when she did, he was able to keep himself at ease around her despite the creature that lingered inside of her. Maybe, just maybe, he could help her, while helping out his beloved Sweden, it was a risk he was willing to take now. He entered his hut, and lay down on the cot he had been provided with, after hanging up his ceremonial sword and neatly arranging his footwear. While it was doubtful some of the other guests would probably be able to sleep like this, being able to sleep indoors on anything was a charm when you were a soldier who knew what it was like to serve in the backwoods of Sweden, sleeping in holes in the frigid cold. He touched his cheek where her fingers had caressed it, and he smiled to himself before he almost fell into sleep. Like any good soldier, he knew when you had a chance to rest for as long as he could, for you never knew when you wouldn't get that time again.

"Duncan," Tenzov yelled, as he pulled the man aside, "pack your bags, we head out tomorrow." He gave him a small white envelope. Inside there was an airline ticket with STOCKHOLM-MARSCURY stamped on the front. With war on the horizon, Jia was sure to call in his vassals, so destroying all the river crossings would halt a large flow of troops and machinery.

Paul was not afraid of her or what she would do to him, "I can guarantee they will never offer you the keys to the country, I'd rather die first." Ben would not be frightened either, "And I have done my job by letting Jesse and the others get away. As we speak he is getting reinforcements and soon they will be coming here in force. Even if you do kill us it will only make Jesse and the rest of the French very angry and they won't stop coming until you and everyone working with you are dead!"

Meanwhile Renard did have more info on Bridgette for them, "She does own a vacation house (or mansion) on an tropical island in the South Pacific but getting there and attacking it will not be easy. There are MG nests and bunkers still there from the last World War when Japan had control of that area and there is no telling what other stuff she brought there. She probably has scanners that would be able to see you coming from a hundred miles away. Landing there would be like D-Day."

"Lets face this a few problems at a time. With the defenses the has on the surface we should be able to take it over with a few squads. As for what she probably has under that mountain we will have to bring in the French Special Forces, probably the Naval Commandoes. OK guys, lets go get ready for this one. It is still going to take a while to get there.”

Kevin returned the bow, though in a stiff manner clearly not use to the custom, before righting. "I need to have some questions answered before I can leave to begin my operation. Is there a secure communication terminal I can use to contact my people to let them know to prepare for my arrival and also is there any sort of communication contact that I can use to report my success to Bridgette?".

Jinho directed Kingswell to an encrypted network within the mansion that he could use to contact his organization. "This should work for you just fine, sir. And in your travels, simply reconnect to this network and you should be able to talk with Fraulein Saenger." She said and walked away after explaining the machinery's operation.

---

Bridgette shrugged at the ramblings of her captives. "You sound like a broken record Herr Rousseau, you tell me, I'm going to die, I'm going to die. I know quite well I'm going to die and so is everyone else in this room at sometime or another. Screaming threats isn't going to make me like you anymore than I already do. Which isn't much by the way. This isn't a movie. I'm not going to lay down and die for your precious friends. I've survived a lot worse than what a bunch of Wanna-Be Spies can throw at me, so unless either of you are going to say something interesting. Do me a favor and shut your !@#$@#$ mouths."

Turning to Ben she smiled. "In your case I would try to recall your best memories in the next few minutes because in a half hour or so, you aren't going to be remember anything except for what I tell you."

"He left and left me a note. Just that in itself is different than his normal behavior." She sat down and seemed to be distressed. "He's never left me like this before. "Well, given I had plans to work with you until I was caged and went into one of my rare lapses of cognition, I had brought some gifts for you. The suitcase is a nuclear football for France's entire arsenal. Unfortunately, however, it is keyed in with a multi-layer encryption the complexity of which could not be broken by any computers in existence in any nation for some many millions of years. The reason for that is the encryption isn't merely electronic in nature. It isn't only based on characters on a machine. I have all the keys to that football. Additionally Bridgette, you have no reason to strike France.. it has nothing to give you really except to bog you down from your actual ambitions. I'm also not all that worried about France, as I am not the one you think I am."

"In fact, I am not certain who I am. I have no name.. just a motive.. and it seems to be all that drives me. That drive being the simple will to up end all things as they are and bring forth chaos. Given you wish to disrupt the global order.. I assume this is in accordance to your wishes."

Paul was pissed now, “Daemon! You are one of those daemons that work for those that the Dragon cult worship. Well even if you do give her the suitcase the only ones who know the codes to actually activate the nukes is the Prime Minister and the Empress. I don’t know them, Ben doesn’t know them, and I don’t think even Geoffrey knows them. The only way you would be able to get them is if you captured one of them and that is not going to happen. Looks like your little plan just went right down the drain. So you might as well go back to your master Daemon because you have failed!”

Meanwhile Alexis was now a little curious, unfortunately they did not have any good news about Geoffrey, “About a week ago there was a meeting between some of the most evil people of the world and Paul volunteered to go in and see what they were planning. Well then Geoffrey showed up even though he was not even supposed to be there and basically got them both captured. We are trying to figure out why he went there when he was not even supposed to know about the mission.”

Renard then contacted them, “Girls you better hurry it up there. We seem to have a problem.”

“OK we are on our way.” She looks back at Christine. “If you have anything else to say please say it now.”

Bridgette stared at the lizard man with unmoving eyes before smirking. "You aren't even Geoffrey Plantagenet? You're just some mutant from the Dragon Cult? Yes, well I'm sure you have the codes for the French nuclear arsenal, it makes me believe it even more given that you have no clue who you are. No, my friend, you will be of help however as your DNA will come in handy. I will give the Dragon Cult this, genetically, you people are very advanced. Unfortunately, you've wasted all your time learning about genetics you forgot to include any common sense in that mind of yours. Though I think it's time to move on with the show!"

She clapped her hands as Dr. Y appeared along with a contingent of guards. "Now, Paul, aren't you excited to see your friend Ben here become the newest advancement of modern life?" With the pressing of a button, the door on Ben's cage opened and before he was to retaliate against the guards, his hands were tied and forcefully led over towards a metal table with clamps down where he was secured. He would struggle of course, but the first of a series of injections that Bridgette would be putting forward would be a sedative. This chemical, injected directly into the back of his head would begin to effect the brain within seconds. The purpose was to cause a severe state of amnesia, to the point where the subject would not know where he was or what he believed in.

She injected the chemical into his head and smiled watching his eyes begin to dull. "How are you feeling dear?" Bridgette smiled and patted his head. "You're going to be feeling a whole lot better in a moment." She said and pushed a syringe of Serum X-2 into Ben's arm and the blue chemical began to run through his veins.

Turning back to Paul she smirked. "Now, let's watch."

...and Ben's body began to twitch...

Rather than worrying too much Salvatore took this chance to rest and enjoy the climate, he didn't after all get much of this in Zurich. He realized Bridgette was a busy woman and it would probably be a while before she had some time to show him the things he could do to cause just the right amount of chaos in the Athenian Federation. With the war against Cochin the CSS was too busy to keep an eye on him and the men that had sworn loyalty to his fasther. An oath that would remain valid throughout the generations. Times would seem to improve so he would take a few more days off to make the required preparations for his return.

"Thank you" replied Kevin simply before he accessed the encrypted network and established a communication link up with Viola back in his headquarters. With in a short time she had answered though she seemed out of breath for some reason. "Viola is everything okay back there?" Kevin asked worried that someone had found or done something to his headquarters luckily however, Viola's reply proved that he was wrong but it was also very interesting. "I see. Have the commanders meet me at the airbase, I shall be there soon we have much to get started on" he ordered before cutting the connection.

Leaving the network device behind Kevin walked back the way he had seen Jinho go and quickly found her not far away, walking over he stepped into her line of vision and brought a hand up to get her attention. "Ma'am could you please inform Fraulein Saenger that I will be leaving the island to start my operations immediatly and that I will also be sending an operations report as soon significant progress has been made. Also she may wish to know that it seems that conflict is brewing between the Kingdom of Cochin and Rebel Army and it's allies, it may effect her plans in some way".

With that said he turned and left heading to where the pilots and aircraft were located. It didn't take long for them to have a plane ready for take off and as Kevin sat back in his seat he watched the island disappear beneath him as the plane headed away for Islz Cruz and to where he could finally make a start on his assignment.

Brian later finds Jesse upstairs in the estate mansion looking though some books that Paul had lying around, “Jesse what are you doing?”

“Looking to see if there is anything here that can help us turn the tide against Bridgette, to make us strong enough to take her out. There is no way for us to get all the way over there without being captured by some government or something like that. It always seems to happen to us and it needs to stop. Heck I am about ready to find a way to transform into one of those dragon things if I have to. But instead of fighting over there we are going to bring the fight here.”

“And how are we supposed to do that?”

“She might have the suitcase needed to activate the nukes but she still needs the codes and there are only two people that know them, the Prime Minister, and the Empress. Sooner or later she will have to make a move to capture one of them and when she does we will be ready.”

If your engineers had inspected closely enough.. they'd probably be wondering why magnetometers and magnetic field sensory equipment are built into the suitcase. The security the other personality in this body put in place upon those weapons was quite elaborate. Fortunately, I know everything that he does.. but as the Viral avatar of the Destroyer.. I have no inhibitions about making use of them. The reason I have no name is I was never given one officially.. because I'm not a person. Not entirely. That is part of why who I am is fragmented.. but I have enough cohesion to know what I must do for the sake of my species." It looked back to Paul, "Suspicious fool. There's nothing paranormal about what I am. I'm just the result of humanity tinkering with things they should not. Also.. Geoffrey hadn't had the opportunity to hand over the toggles for the arsenal over to the command of "our".. beloved new Empress. She never asked for them, specifically."

He watched the one called Ben being experimented on and commented to Bridgette. "You must be careful. Such experiments tend to take on a mind of their own. I should know. You may blank its mind, but that will just require it to make up its own. The first thing it will rely on.. is ingrained, hereditary, instinct. The first thought of something that is not innately human upon awareness.. is not to trust those that are human. Your smell is everywhere. It dominates the environment so much, it will recognize you.. as a threat.. and aptly so. So unless you are not human yourself, you may be in danger."

Over the screams and thrashings of Ben on the table Bridgette could hear the lizard giving his warning of experimentation which only made her smirk. "You have no idea, mutant, what I am capable of. My smell is electrifying and it dominates because I dominate. You also have no room to talk about threats, passing off an entire suitcase of nukes to kill the innocents. I might remind you, Mein Eidechse, that my vision is not to kill large swaths of people. It is what leaders do on their own, even now, we are about to see a war of global proportions happen all across the Asian continent. As to you nuclear devices, we will discuss it at a later time. I can assure you, you won't be going anywhere so when I need to discuss nuclear potential, I'll be sure to come down and speak with you."

She walked over to the cage and wrapped her hands around the bars staring at the lizard. "That said Eidechse, can you smell me? The threat? The unhuman rage?" Her hands began to change to a bluish tint as Bridgette moaned falling forward against the bars. "Ugh...I...I am a creator. I..." The fabric of her shirt and pants beginning to strain, beginning to show the growing muscularity. "The difference between the monsters I make and myself, is that I have a brain. I am the only friend they have left in the world and when I study...you...ugh." She threw herself back from the change and against the table where Ben was now comatose. "I can only imagine, an army of machines, of brutes, all swearing loyalty to me and me alone. I wasn't always like this Eidechse, but you're right, this is exactly what science does to a person."

Taking a few deep breaths, Bridgette began to calm down and ran her hand across her sweaty brow and then looked at Ben. "My dear, smile at mummy. We're going to remake the world."

Before Jesse was going to leave with the force that was going to take out Bridgette Renard needed to talk to him, “I found something while looking through some stuff about Geoffrey.” He brings up some pictures of some Brain scans that have been taken every 2 weeks or so since they transformed. “This area here is the Frontal lobe. It has been changing since the transformation. Have you guys heard of a split personality disorder?” Jesse and Brian both said yes. “Well this is sort of like that except this new one is totally taking over. I don’t even know if there is any of the old Geoffrey left, and if it is happening to him then there is a chance that Christine is going through the same thing.”

“Wait a sec. Didn’t Ben find something like that a while after the change when we were in Angers with them and Paul?”

Brian answered. “Yes. I believe he did mention something like this.”

“Yes I remember now. He told everyone about it but there was no actual proof to proove it so we all ignored it."

"It is not too late to save her."

"Well then you need to find a way to reverse it and save her before she ends up like him.” Jesse then contacted Alexis. “It looks like you girls are not done there yet. You need to stay with Christine during this time to comfort her and make sure she doesn’t go evil like Geoffrey did.”

“And what about you guys?”

“We are going to Avalon. To finish what my grandfather started.”

Now everyone was a bit confused, “What do you mean.”

“Those artifacts that they found in the palace. The ones that made Geoffrey and Christine like that, they were brought in by my grandfather a long time ago. I found out about that when I was looking through his books. When that place was a museum he brought that stuff there to be put into an exhibit since he did not want them. It was him that brought them here in the first place. They affected Geoffrey and now it is our job to end the suffering. We are going to go there, take down Bridgette, and finish what we started, and this time nobody will be left behind.”

Brian, "We will try to capture him alive but there is no telling what he will do. If we have to take him down as well, then we will."

Alexis, "What about Christine?"

Jesse answered, "Keep her safe and make sure she does not leave the building. Other than that if she needs anything just give it to her."

Later Damion was in his office and contacted his communications officer, “Patch me through to Avalon. Jesse will still need their permission to move through their territory so he may take out Bridgette.”
