This seems to serve the dual purpose of not only giving us an example of why something that was lame the first time remains lame as a less interesting attempt the second time as well. However, it does give a large portion of Planet Bob a new alliance to hate on and plot on and feel good about it. Me? I could care less but, will enjoy watching the mess that will result.

First of all thanks to Tyga for the heads up and chat earlier. Second what kind of idiot would put an alliance in danger by doing this? A spy ring? Really? When was the last time a spy managed to do anything other than get caught? And for that you put STA in danger? Brilliant.

Well you seemed to think TGE was getting attacked and were wrong. Again. So if your intel on everything else is as good as that I think you have a very long wait. However I expect you will be getting some new juicy rumors in the next few days that will have you on about something else. In fact I have something in mind already.

The only people pushing for war are Vox because they are bored and those idiots at the Blacksomething whatever. They spend there days talking and talking and hoping. Trying to form sides and convince people they have a clue about whats going on. some people out of touch or way down the food chain buy into it because they don't know any better, the rest of us have a good laugh at them and even encourage them with tasty bits of info that feeds their fantasies. They no doubt started TGE war rumors and even got some of the easly fooled to buy it. They are as wrong now as they have been about everything. Pretty soon even those not in the know will stop listenting to them. Now lets all wish FOK good luck and fixing TGE.

I would not out friendship, as I have no idea who TGE even is anymore. But if someone were to try and take advantage of their chaotic weakness and to take them out then you can damn well bet I will do far more then rattle a saber. TGE was once an alliance I liked a great deal. Maybe with FoKs help they can survive and restore some of what they once were. Perhaps it would be better if they returned as FoKs protectorate so they could flood them with advisors and try and fix things. I don't know but, I do know that I have made my intent here very clear. If someone wishes to test me they are more than welcome to take a whack at TGE. We have fought beside FoK before and I think we would enjoy doing so again.

Who would be attacking TGE? They are pretty much a lifeless alliance. They don't do anything but plot on each other and no one outside of TGE is dumb enough to get dragged into supporting one faction over the others. They spend all their energy fighting with each other so they don't have time to start fights with anyone on the outside. Do most people want to be allied to that? No. But, it does come with the benefit of TGE not getting itself attacked because they don't have any real contact nor interest on what goes on outside TGE. And ya know I have been a TGE supporter for a very very long time. Despite the complete mess they have become if someone were to attack them I might just get involved treaty or not for old times sake. And yeah I guess that is a threat.

No one, how can you gun for TGE they are pretty much DOA. They are mostly inactives and the few active parts of its government don't talk to each other and spends all its time plotting on each other. FoK should just absorb TGE or at the very least clean out its entire so called government and replace it with its own people until they get something resembling order in that mess. You have to give FoK credit for trying to save TGE the hardest thing to do is to try and save an alliance from itself. Good luck with that guys.

WUT and The Unjust Path These would prove to be troubling times for TPF. We had joined WUT and all was not what we hoped. Tensions between NpO / GGA and GOONS were growing. The break up of WUT has already been documented many times by others so I will not go into the details. TPFs role in it was to try and keep it together, keep the peace while we looked for another solution. In the mean time I kept myself busy by building a network of people who would keep me informed on things. Whatever rumors were floating around would quickly find their way to me. You don't need spies in CN in fact spies pretty much suck. I don't see how they can be of any real use when everything you need to know is already available publicly you just have to know where to look. If you have enough people in vastly different places letting you know what they are hearing you can start to put a picture together on what is truly occurring and where certain rumors or information may coming from. I also began the grand protectorate push. COLD had started small so I wanted to give other small alliances a chance to live or die at their own hands and not at the hands of others. We had a running joke about the Generals of TPF couping Slayer. Part of that joke included us having our own private armies, add this to idea about protectorates and the Generals Protectorate was born. While some larger protected alliances have a detailed treaty the Generals Protectorates or GP have no such treaty. The deal is very simple. They don't attack other alliances, sign treaties with military clauses or make threats in our name without clearing it with us first and in return we keep them safe and help them if they ask. We don't control them in anyway and we keep them out of our wars. Our early protectorates included: Ninjas Will Pwn You, STUD, ToC and a joint \m/ TPF protectorate over TOOL who had about 400 small nations at the time. We now held treaties with NPO, GGA, \m/, Genmay, GOONS and NEO. The Unjust Path Bloc was also formed with TPF, \m/, Genmay, GOONS, Golden Sabers and Mushroom Kingdom. NpO and GGA then left WUT. Now this is the time when the UJP should have been doing some heavy diplomatic lifting. It did not. TPF tried to act as a moderator as a war would put us like many others in between allies. Anyone who has been there knows that it is not a good place to be. At the same time NpO was signing treaties with anyone and I mean anyone. Of course all these small / medium sized alliances were thrilled a top alliance was courting them. If the UJP had moved first they would have been just as happy with them. That however was not the way they operated. War soon came. The war was a diplomatic mess, everyone was tied to each other so many just sat. We went to war following our treaty. We however did not activate any of our other treaties as it would have just put others also in a bad position. This again was a war that was lost before the fist shot was fired. I know some people have a fantasy where the UJP was winning but, that was just hopeful thinking. TPF attacked NpO as per treaty. NpO was wrecked from the start. I took my target beat on it and then at the request of a member jumped another target that was actually putting up a fight. I then took a third target. I figured why not? The counter was coming from Sparta soon (worst kept secret ever) and I might as well be fighting 6 nations instead of 5. THIS IS SPPPPAAAAARRRRTTTTTAAAAAAA, we had some bad blood with Sparta prior over something on OWF. I don't know what it was. However the Sparta that attacked us was not the same Sparta from that incident. Starting with our DoWs we were already having fun with these guys. While our fighting with NpO had been polite and friendly, our fight with Sparta was positively fun. From its leadership to its grunts on the ground TPF founds itself liking and having far more in common with Sparta then we did those on "our" side of the war. We also were attacked by a couple of other alliances a nearly dead MDC and someone else. Now we were getting our butts kicked. Most of us in six wars and Sparta coming in fresh had done it. Many myself included went out with a full out offensive and then was pretty much broke. But at that point it did not matter as TPF was having fun. Then of course the event occurred that changed everything for us. I awoke to find it had occurred and Slayer had, as he had promised, taken TPF out of the war. I was very pissed, in fact if Slayer had not pulled us from the war I would have couped him and done the same thing only I would have taken it a step further and declared on GOONS. But hey that's just me. Soon the war was over. We were left only with our treaties with NPO, GGA and NEO. During the war our protectorate the Ninjas were attacked by the protectorate of someone on "our" side of the war. At this point we were fully engaged and could not come to their aid. I was left scrambling to get our other protectorates organized to come to the Ninjas aid. In the end diplomacy won the day and no war occurred. I asked myself what happens if we are in this situation again? It was on that the day that first ideas for the OPP began to form. TPF was rebuilding in more ways than one. The world had changed and Polar was on top. And it soon became clear that it was not by accident but by design. We were rebuilding our nations and now we were also taking control of our own destiny.

TPF - The Early Days The Phoenix Federation was formed in a merger between TF! and COLD. The leadership was a Triumvirate of Slayer99, TimLee, and Geopet. I took a spot as one of TPFs 3 Four Star Generals. TPF was one of those merges that occur on rare occasions when the mix of talent complimented each other and TPF became one very quickly. TPF is what I would call a fun and gun alliance. We like to fight and we like to have fun. We carried over most of our treaties from before notably with \m/ and GOONS. In Slayer I found someone who saw things much the same way I did. He understood the need for diplomacy and what times and how it should be used. He also understood the how The Bad could be used as an asset to TPF and unleashed him unchained onto Planet Bob. We did have one small problem with the Triumvirate and that was you needed 3 people on to make a decision and while Slayer was very active Geo and Tim were at the time not. We talked about asking Geo and Tim to step down into a new position just under the sole Evil Overlord that would give them the ability to stay in a high level of gov. without it affecting TPFs ability to move quickly when needed. We talked to Geo first and he completely agreed he did not have the time and the we talked to Tim. TimLee is a good guy, he however tends to overreact without thinking at times. We asked what he thought about our idea, he agreed then said he was quitting CN anyway because of time. Then he went on OWF and claimed we coup him and that we were planning on attacking half of Planet Bob. The second part was at least true. We talked about fighting pretty much everyone and how we would do it all the time. We talked with Tim and things got back on track and he has been a friend of the Federation ever since. We soon fought our first war against.... some Forocoches or such. It was a good training exercise for the army. But something much bigger was brewing on the horizon an alliance called FAN. Now you could see this one coming a mile away. FAN knew how to fight and the loved to go to war. The problem with FAN is they had zero diplomatic skills. If they had them Planet Bob might be a different place today. FAN and GOLD cut off tech raiding on Yellow. This of course was a mess, unlike NPO, they had no coordination or communication and ended up attacking GOONS nations. This also led \m/, TPF and STA to ban yellow nations from raiding on white. That all ended without a war but, the you could see it coming and we were preparing. FAN next attacked Nov out of the blue. Now myself like most of Planet Bob would have not been sad to this happen but, Nov was an NPO protectorate. This was publicly known. FAN appeared to be testing NPO and seeing what sort of support they would get if the went up against them. Now this would have been a good idea if FAN had not been pissing most of Planet Bob off prior to this. FAN was kicked from WUT and war broke out. TPF enter the war through our treaties and engaged FAN. Say what you will about having a well trained military, lots of nukes and a plan but, when comes down to it if you have failed on the diplomatic front none of that means anything and FAN proved that for anyone who doubted it. The war with FAN was pretty much just tossing nukes around. The good thing from that is we at TPF learned that a nuclear war really was not all that bad. It does a little more damage but in the end it changes nothing. Now we at TPF had nothing against FAN we kind of liked them but we fought them as we would anyone and in the end they were crushed. FAN got peace for the time and when they broke terms we fought the pale shadow that called itself FAN again. To me FAN died after the first war. I refuse to acknowledge the embarrassment the cried and cried during the second war as being FAN. I will not insult FAN that way. After FAN we joined WUT along with MCXA. WUT was a house divided and we soon find ourselves following an Unjust Path.

CDS-The Early Years The nation of The Empire of the North lead by The Big Bad entered Planet Bob 829 days ago. Shortly after my arrival on the black team I received a recruitment message from the Coalition of Darks States. I was complete noob and had no idea how anything worked. But I learned and I learned quickly. I was able to get into battle in my first few weeks with random raiders and rogues. I learned I liked war. I tried my hand at a few things in CDS. I tried recruiting - I did well but it was not really my thing and then I tried the Ministry of Intelligence this was my former real life occupation but I at CDS it pretty much consisted of coming up with target lists, no so much fun. I also tried the two things I would end up over time becoming pretty good at. The Military and Foreign Affairs. I became a ambassador to several alliances and started off as a Sergeant in the CDS Army, then I moved up to Colonel and then General at CDS. I also began to expand my work in FA. And also began to make my presence know on OWF. Now CDS they were a great group of people. A real family with a lot of great talent and just good people. CDS had treaties to people like GATO and GGA (pre WUT). CDS never should have been a part of this group. They were not warriors and did not really play the FA game. CDS was more about fun and family. And as much as I loved those guys I wanted more. My trolling on OWF was just as active while in CDS as it was later as was my habit of acting on things I did not like. More than once I dragged CDS, mostly out of default into things like helping The Grey Council fight off a group of nuke rogues to helping some small alliance under attack by a group that wanted to force them to join or die. I also tried to begin building a black bloc with LoSS and many other black alliances to oppose GOONS as they moved in. CDS was never really hot on the idea although through force of will I was able to get ACID in a treaty with CDS and LoSS. Others in CDS thought along the lines I did TimLee and and Auto98 were working along the same lines. But CDS was more content to just be a sanctioned alliance with the same allies and keep the statues quo. Soon that would cost CDS a great deal. The League/ACID/GW2 ACID was a newer alliance started by a buddy I knew as diplomat to the Trade Federation. ACID had about 100 members and I saw them as a growing alliance that could be a valuable ally. As I tired of sitting on the side lines as CDS liked to do I found in ACID more influence than I had in CDS. So decided to join ACID. This would be delayed first by threat of a new great war, something I was really looking forward to as I missed the first one, and then later by the departure of many of CDSs better know members to none other than NPO. I was asked by Rambo someone I have great respect for to stay on for a bit to keep things from getting worse, so I did. The League then was formed something that had talked about forever was quickly put on the front burner do to the creation of WUT. The League had great ideas it was full of hope and lots of talk but the reality was, it was, in word, a mess. While NPO had been reaching to new alliances and then helping build them the CoaLUEtion had pretty much been sitting on its $@!. I already was annoyed by LUE and found GATO to be confused. NAAC seemed to have some idea what they were doing but they were small in the grand scale of things. War was coming and I along with TimLee brow beat The League into bringing in ACID. Not long after when war was very near they would rush to bring in others. As the first shots of the war were being fired between GOONS and FARK I left CDS and joined ACID giving them their only real nuclear arsenal. LUE attacked GOONS and was attacked in return and GATO lumbered into the war while the rest of the League staggered into the war with smaller alliances like ACID having no clue what the plan was if one indeed even existed. The war was a mess. ACID however did well. We attacked GOONS I went after 2 GOONS nations and beat on them. One of them who had no nukes was then nuked by LUE nation. I gave him peace and wished him luck. The other GOONS nation was pretty much dead as well so I chose to go after NPO. This was a different time when someone like me could be all over the battlefield with no real consequence. I hit two NPO nations who were just kind sitting their unengaged. I rolled them both and received my first counter attack. An NPO nation came in and I killed him as well. And while myself and ACID were doing well over all the war was lost. Legion and ODN sat out the one chance they had to beat NPO and the League started falling apart. Soon peace was reached no reps no anything from us just white peace. I had grown a great deal from the war and reaped a huge profit. I had not faced defeat nor even an enemy that gave me a fight, I wanted more and I had a good idea where I would find the next war. Legion/CDS 2.0 It seemed to the Bad that the next war would be against Legion and ODN. NPO had a grand opportunity with a the Leagues collapse and its members wrecked to take out the only other opposition. That was a fight I wanted a part of. After all it was Legion they had a rep. They had to be prepared for a fight right? Oh dear Admin was I wrong. Legion was as big a mess as CDS was when it came to its military. You had to register your nukes and get permission to build more. I kid you not. They were not much better on the FA side. I was depressed. Then I heard CDS was making changes, they were going to take a more neutral path and move to the new white sphere and it was suggested that CDS needed me. So I returned to CDS. Things had changed but not for the best. I ran for MoFA at the suggestion of others who thought I had some good ideas. I ran on growing our ties with some of the WUT alliances, cutting ties with people like GATO and company and moving in a separate direction with people like LoSS and ACID. In other words stepping out of fight we had no reason to be in with two alliance that we could trust. I won and thinking I now had a chance to change CDS I was shocked to find CDS had already charted its course. The were going to tie themselves to Legion and ODN and even worse Legion would have to approve of what allies CDS would have. I was pissed, I raged in Gov channels but kept it away from the general membership for the sake of CDS. As I talked with others in gov who agreed with me like TimLee and Auto we decided to leave and form COLD and idea Tim had been thinking of. COLD COLD or the Coalition of Legendary Defense had all of 5 members. We were never tech-raided not sure why but, then again tech raiding an alliance with the Bad in it may not have been appealing. COLD grew and we merged and we grew. As a founder I then drug COLD into the same sorts of things I did with CDS. As the clouds of GW3 began to brew we decided we would not enter the war as we were completely unprepared and still getting organized from the merge with VVVC. We did however decide we could help CDS by hiding their banks in our AA, sending volunteers to fight under the CDS flag with myself being the first to sign up, and to bank money for them to rebuild post war. What we got in return was a threat of war. CDS was getting smashed and was in chaos. Its leadership had come out of the blue and instead of taking our offer were threatening war. Shortly after we signed treaties with \m/ and TF!, WUT now had one more ally. CDS and company lost the war and CDS was coup ed to keep it from going nuclear. After we helped pay their reps. Soon we began talks with TF! about a merge and soon something would be born that would allow The Big Bad to do all he had wanted. The time of the Phoenix was upon us.
