1. Honestly, for such a small alliance to stick with such a big war for so long, they seem like they'd make great allies. :o
2. This is silly. What could it possibly imply either way? The war is declared, they will do what they will with their resources and that is that. Do you argue like this with your family when the toilet seat isn't in the position you want it to be?
3. Well, I mean, they threw themselves into the fire for your coalition. That's pretty harsh.
4. lol because I'm in peacemode. *points to sig* ...wait, did you just call our longest-standing allies "mercenaries"? You know Farkistan is some of the RIA's closest friends, right? ;>.> We've been close friends with them since the Third Great War.
5. The bottom line is that communication is a two-way thing. Either party could've put in the effort to achieve it.
6. Yeah, I'm more responding to the people actually bashing them. You have to admit some of your colleagues are being asshats in this topic. ;>_> Frankly, they went to war for you, and that should be enough. In all my years, I've never looked at a surrendering ally and thought they should have stuck up for me longer, knowing that in a losing war my own alliance would eventually have to raise the white flag. I tend to get more upset at my allies during war when they do really stupid things that harm the coalition before they surrender.
7. You and your logical leaps of faith. What next, you'll admonish the Hooligans for not sending PMs about the surrender to all coalition leaders in their respective forums in triplicate prior to acting on it?
8. Some alliances, sheesh. You guys bashing the Hooligans are like the boyfriend who immediately thinks his ex is worthless scum when she breaks up with him, despite being utterly in love the previous day. A fairweather friend. You're just fishing for reasons to shame the Hooligans for surrendering, regardless of how much or how little sense it makes. They joined you in good will, and left to resolve internal trouble. What if they stayed in it, and the combination of the lengthy struggle and the internal strife caused them to disband? You ought to thank them for their contribution, however small it may have been.
9. Come on, you can do better than that. He thinks your post is awful because you misrepresented his argument to an extreme degree. He said nothing about the upper tiers. He said nothing about tier differences entirely. Sparta is only one alliance of the bloc he mentioned that includes it. Your entire post serves only to distract, so Enamel chose not to acknowledge it. I, on the other hand, love demolishing logical fallacies. >.> <.< As for the question, no idea. Maybe the treaty web. Maybe some people in EQ simply want revenge over some people in not-EQ for some past grievance. I haven't been paying attention, myself. ;>.> Peace mode is awesome like that.
10. Until the Grudge War, the RIA and NpO had always been on opposite sides of the global wars. In the following years, I hadn't really noticed how close we've grown. The more I think about it, the more sense it makes. o7 NpO
11. LOL :psyduck: We wet our pants before the war even started. :smug:
12. Random Insanity Alliance, since July 31st, 2006.
13. One of my favorite things about the RIA, something it does better than any other alliance in the game, is its vast documentation of its own history. <3 It gives these announcements meaning. o7 RIA o7 Superfriends o7 Maroonity
14. !!!! I can say with complete honesty that I had no idea about this until just now, and I love it. Fark 8:54 PM: Became highly suspect of legitimacy
15.
NG has a lot on their plate ATM, now all we need is a Micro or two to hit them.
They've literally been asking for more targets here. I don't think they get to play the victim here in any capacity.
16.
Never thought I'd see the day Xiph would be lecturing anyone on class, and actually be taken seriously by even the smallest portion of CN. Think what you will about NG and MK but this is too rich.
Well, you know, when the whole world has gone mad, the insane become the voice of reason. ;>.>
17. Maroonity is the only cause left worth fighting for in this world. o7
18. Give 'em an N! (N!!!) Give 'em a U! (U!!!) Give 'em a K! (K!!!) GIVE 'EM AN E! (E!!!) What's that spell?! (NUKE!) What's that spell?! (NUKE!) What's that spell?! (NUUUUUKE!) tl;dr: love the reference
19.
True, but at least with Non Grata you can have fun discussions on the way down, NG
Maybe when they don't already hate your guts for some dumb reason.
20.
this seems apt:
I was about to make a big post explaining why this statement was silly, but it looks like the other guys did it well enough for me. Continue fighting my battles for me, comrades, you're doing well!
21. I haven't been in peace mode since four wars ago. I like it, because this war is dumb. I'm usually one to be all "Let's all hold hands and have a good fight, yay!" at my enemies when the RIA goes to war, but the sheer attitude of NG makes me not want to give them the satisfaction of getting a piece of this. Call me when it actually IS a good war. >_>
