Not necessarily, but in this case I would say yes. They did what they thought was right and honored their treaties knowing that they would probably lose. To do the right thing in the face of destruction I, for one, feel deserves admiration and respect.

Good read. Very respectable views. I agree with most of it, except that I think most of the alliances NPO attacked did have great animosity towards them. There is some validity in pre-emptively taking out an enemy before they gather allies. You can't say there isn't, because if NPO has been more aggressive and taken some threats out earlier Karma may not have been strong enough to stand against NPO. They may have also lost leadership needed to organize. Ironic, that by not being aggressive enough NPO might lose to a faction that says NPO is too aggressive.
