    It's a part-time job in Fantasy World, where selling tech for money actually means something, and I can be promoted through the ranks of my alliance. Very fulfilling, like a RL job. But seriously, this is just a game.

    Okay, so I am seriously considering turning in my app for IRON. On the other hand, ODN seems like a great fit, too. I am feeling soooo indecisive! Can y'all give me any good reasons to go for IRON over ODN (or any other alliance)? Yes, I am a newb, but I'm a fast learner and pretty competitive when I want to be.

    [font="Arial"][/font]I am a newbie to CN, and while I can't speak for veterans of the game who are leaving, I may speak for a number of other newbies who may not stick around. The thing is, I'm doing everything "right" as far as I can see. Paying bills, buying soldies, tech, infra., etc. My citizens are incredibly happy. But now what? I just wait and wait for my population to grow before I can do anything interesting? I have to join an alliance, or I'll lose my tech to raiders and will never be able to be involved in wars? Really, I would have faster success playing Age of Empires, Civilization, or Europa Universalis. This game is like playing Zork when I could be playing something much cooler and faster. But still, I will try and figure it out, because I like the concept and apparent challenge of this game. I only wish I could figure out the alliance thing. Honestly, I am clueless about which group to join, and afraid of joining one that is not right for me. [/font][size="4"][/size]
