There were WALKERS in CNRP once?!! My God, I thought Realism was an important factor! Anyway, yeah, those things would be a logistical nightmare and heavy as hell. PLUS, throw in the fact that Return of the Jedi taught us that a walker could slip easily if you placed logs in front of it. Then again, the psychological effect would be enormous, as any soldier who would see that thing would fight a major urge to run like hell (I know I would).

In fact, the military exercise "Operation: Warm-Up" was canceled so as to free up troops to help fortify the border. The Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe were put on high alert although the Kriegsmarine had only patrol boats, transport ships, and hospital ships, while the Luftwaffe had largely WWII-era aircraft, thus no match for the GLP Navy and airforce if they attacked the IHR.
