I will say one final word to former allies and friends that may have similar feelings and assuming things like Silver Empress. Get over it. Simply get over it. The main people involved have moved on. Stop holding a grudge. NpO, UINE, Avalanche, TKTB, tLW, Gondor...all of you need to end this grudge. I still think to myself now and then. Who would I fight for even without a treaty. You guys are pretty much it (plus Kev's Uni maybe). Why? I don't know why. If lies and assumptions are what will prevail in your alliances then I may have to force myself to change my thinking. With the way you've been acting towards Chey for.. quite a while now, I don't think the forgiveness from Gondor will come anytime soon. -------------------------------------------------------------------- As to your response to my pansies comment and etc, I was daring someone to do something outside the norm. Yes there is always the possiblity of getting curbstomped, which is partially why there are so few wars now. And I was basically admitting that I myself am a pansy. Yeah, admitting it. I don't want to get curbstomped. Plain and simple. Anyone who does is....a strange person. Most people a large majority of the time would rather go to war if they have the advantage. It's a safeguard. It makes you feel safer. The main exception I can think of off the top of my head is fighting a war for something you believe in. Like what Ninjas did in respect to GOONS. They didn't like the way GOONS ran things, so that declared war on them, knowing full well there was a strong possibility of them getting curbstomped. (And I commend EJ for having the balls to do that to do this day and probably will forever.) If there was a cause I found worth fighting for right now, then by golly I'd be all for it. But why should I start a war that I don't believe is worth fighting for? And I think there is probably a fair number of people who think along the same lines as that. And then there is the other option of fighting for the fun of it because it's a game. Which I sorta agree with, too. But we have TE. And as someone mentioned earlier (too lazy to look and see who it was), TE did hurt the war aspect. Because you can just go to TE and war your butt off and then war in SE isn't quite as..spectacular anymore. I know this thread is more about why the politics of CN are dead, and that's just because everything is the same as it always was. People are always thirsting for something new, better, bigger, more awesome. Things haven't changed in so long, so people are bored with it. My point in respect to this is that admin doesn't have to be the one to create something new. We have the power, but no one seems to brave enough or proactive enough to do it (including myself). tl;dr: People, such as myself, are either too lazy or too worried about their pixels to start a war or do something new/out of the ordinary.

Gondor did not want to be in a chaining bloc, nor did we. Gondor was a much younger alliance at the time and wanted to be more established before joining a bloc. Rather sensible, imo. In addition, we stopped trying because tLW did not want to be in a bloc at the time either. At least not the type of bloc that FAR and [unnamed alliance] were going for. In addition, Chey wasn't being chicken, he was being sensible for not wanting to be in a bloc with FAR at the time. Why? Because you were a young alliance and you, Fernando, were leader. And he was quite right, I might add, for being cautious about you, as a majority of us know from the \m/ incident in which you stepped down as leader then ordered 2 nations to attack an \m/ gov member because you didn't like \m/, then pm'd other members telling them to leave FAR, resulting in about 10-20 or more members leaving. If we had all been in a bloc together and \m/ had decided to attack FAR because of that, we would have all suffered. And I'm all for standing up for my allies through thick and thin, but it is far harded sticking by reckless people. Chey was thinking of the safety of his alliance and I commend him for that. Do not attack my ally and my friend when your own past actions can be thrown back in your face Fernando.
