If we got rid of the treaty web so that every war wouldn't be a humongous curbstomp, people would probably be more likely to A) start wars, B) stay in the game, and C) join the game. But lol @ the likelihood of everybody canceling their treaties. Now as to blue team, blue team is a strong team just because it has a large number of alliances on it, and because a few of those alliances are quite big (ie NpO and TFD). However, as a whole, blue sphere is pretty divided. Yeah, there are some interlocking treaties and whatnot, but blue sphere is still pretty divided. Edit: typos

Then why is it that I've heard that the Marx supporters in \m/ outnumber the desenters? From what I've seen, Marx has been a good leader/gov member for \m/ since it's reformation. He's done a lot for \m/ and appears to be trying very hard to keep it together. Why are you focused on trying to discredit someone who has obviously worked hard to help \m/?
