2. I don't liked being grouped into 'Neo-Hegemony'. The Legion follows her own road and these artificial groupings are just that... artificial. There's no neo-hegemony bloc, just like there's no Karma bloc.
 3.
I am not aware that I am starting anything. I just said that the losses to the Legion if they don't surrender will be more than the reps. It is a straight fact.
Much better. I just don't particularly want any comparing of military prowess (e-peens) in this thread, as that didn't end well for any alliance involved when in happened earlier.
 4.
So you deny that Sinatra is out of cash? Tegarcho? Those are just 2 I was watching.
Again, do you really want to start this?
 5.
Here's an idea guys, lets cut the peace and fight the Legion a few more days, get more of their nations to eat nukes take them even further down the road toward destruction. $640 million in game cash is a cheap price for peace for all their members who were our of money and staggered on. I would hazard a guess that with some of their larger nations 200 infra from a nuke came close to 100 million so do that another 7 times and wow this peace is looking nicer and nicer.
Don't try and start spinning this, now... we really don't want to get into a debate on military prowess here. It will end poorly for everyone. Except possibly Umbrella.
 6.
I am not Legion gov but I was given permission to make this post. It is our official statement and official stance on your behavior.
The OP has the official sanction of Watcher, the Legion's Minister of Economics.
 7.
So what you're saying is that Sparta asked for an amount of reps based on Legion's conduct during negotiations and the fact that legion decided to stay in war some 4 days after being offered white peace. Where the hell do they get off?
To clarify, the conduct being referred to as OOC attacks was done by several members in a public channel. Not during negotiations.
 8.
OOC attacks on his mother. I see worse everyday, but if hes made it clear YOU DONT TALK ABOUT THAT, then I can definitely understand why this happened. Terms accepted with minimal complaint by Legion, and complaint by everyone else. Why is Legion not complaining? I think they know why it happened, as Lincongrad's post occured, and accept it. Sad others can't.
To clarify, I'm still not happy about the rest of the reps. I don't particularly like paying Asgaard, TCI, or Amazon Nation to honor my treaties. And I wish Sparta had a thicker skin, but we tossed away any moral high ground we had with that incident and felt it would be best to try and make amends. I probably would have done the same in Sparta's place.
 9.
. The ridiculous reps came from agreeing to surrender then not agreeing to surrender and making SPARTA -who should not have posted the thread until they got a final verdict w. sigs- look like fools. This is not surprising for an enemy who obviously had no respect for them and snubbed their noses at every turn.
Incorrect. Go read up on the various that sprung up from that incident. The last page of the "Legion, MASH, and Quantum Surrender" thread should be enlightening. These reps stem primarily from the fact that we declined white peace and from the OOC attacks in Hyperion's logs.
 10. The Legion would like to apologize for the treatment of Sparta in certain instances. These reps reflect that regret. Scold the other alliances asking for reps if you like, but Sparta had every right to demand reparations.
 11.
Nothing really surprises me in this game any more, but I have to admit this did.
Brilliant.
 12.
I mean do you actually think people take propaganda in here seriously? You are getting overly analytical over something people are simply having fun over.
You know what? Fair enough.
 13.
Since Legion loves charts so much. That was in one update...poor guy.
There's a reason no one uses individual nation's victories or defeats as a basis for good propaganda. Just sayin.
 14.
Enough of this. Sparta is not to fault, I am. I had been discussing peace for 48 hours between myself and all of the alliances at war with Asgaard and our friends and allies in this conflict. I lost power inbetween these talks and never realized the extent of damage the thought of peace had come within Legion. I continued with these discussions in hope that white peace would be the final nail in the coffin to end the wars between everyone and during all of the long discussions I had convinced myself sooner than I had realized Legion has finalized anything from their side more than what APPEARED to me as agreements to peace without knowing full and well how their system worked. I was not stopped by Legion, nor my allies because I encouraged what I thought was right. I'll be damned to see anyone blame my allies for a rash decision on my part over this. It's allies like Sparta which stick by you when you make a mistake like this which give me hope in this world still. Odds are the relations between myself, my alliance and that of my allies with Legion will never be anything but hostile because of my actions and I finally see what has twisted Bob so pathetically for mistakes to become something hung above people for their entire time here. I expect each and every person after this post to end with the senseless "Blame Sparta" comments I am reading, because they are some of the finest allies an alliance could ask for. When Asgaard was young many people wouldn't give us the time of the day, let alone offer help when it was needed. Sparta has helped us more than anyone could ask for, and we have honored their kindness by spilling blood on the field of battle with them. If that is not a testament, that an alliance is willing to enter and jump head over heels to defend their ally, to the quality of that alliance, then you are all truly blind and I pity you.
Lonewolf has been extremely helpful in resolving the issue. No grudge is held. I would in turn like to apologize for the reaction of the Legion government. We should have taken a lesson from Soldiers of Legion and resolved the conflict quickly and quietly. Instead, both we (and many of our opponents) overreacted to a simple mistake, blowing this whole thing way our of proportion. As Hubb has stated we will also in the future attempt to make it more clear when we are merely feeling out terms. I firmly believe that there was no conspiracy on the part of Sparta or any of its allies. Case closed.
 15.
You can read the logs yourself. It's evident enough in it's entirety.
No. It's not. You sit here and accuse us of screwing up. I want to see some proof. There is nothing in the logs that I've seen that has Hubb or Imperial agreeing to peace. If you have logs that contradict that, please educate me. That goes for Hyperion as well.
 16.
If he didn't mean to surrender, he sure as hell made it seem so. Our other allies had been talking to your gov for more than those few hours. We clarified several times with him after Imperial confirmed his intentions.
Love you to point me to that.
 17.
Sure, I'll pm the collection to you, it will take me a bit to find everything.
I've seen the logs. I just want to see the short section where Imperial (Or Hubb) says yes to anything, because for the life of me I can't find it.
 18.
Your MoFA did. Not sure how many more times I can say this. Otherwise he wouldn't have come in public saying he didn't have the authority and then your other gov saying they were going to veto the decision. Once again, you're currently so thick you have no idea what you're even arguing about. Honestly the only insult you try to throw now is "hey you're a 4th grader!" or a few pages back "hey, you're a 5th grader!". It's like you're so insecure in your own argument you have to reinforce your confidence every time. It's quite amusing, to say the least. I'm going to let you reread my previous post and see if you do a better job next time.
Logs please? (Imperial is our MoFA, if it helps)
 19.
None of us cared that you didn't accept peace. I don't know where you got this from or why you would think so. Most of us didn't even want to present terms to you yet but strategic allocations called for it. The only thing we didn't like was your MoFA coming to us wanting to accept our offer with logs he said gave him the authority to do so. Honestly I don't know why most of your members feel to need to stroke their egos because apparently they were too small to start off with. It's pretty sad that they have to reassure themselves they're good at something in every other post.
I want you to go ahead and reread the logs.
 20.
Now, I don't really believe this is a 'last stand', though GW3 and Karma were to me. But there is a certain irony about a Legionite posting this. GW3 was the last time you were truly a world power, and it was the genuine last stand of your half of the world order. Sometimes, it really is a last stand.
Fair enough. Also, Legion doesn't have minerals. We have Legionnaires
 21.
If Athens were to make a habit of raiding decent sized alliances I doubt MK would remain allied to them. Archon does not care for raiding at all and he only allows regulated raiding in MK because he believes it's a freedom our members deserves.
If TOP and IRON were to make a habit of doing premptive strikes I doubt Legion would remain allied to them. We saw how that worked in GWIII, and doing it now was an even worse idea than it was then. But Athens gets a pass? Not going into the TPF issue, cause that's hotly contended by all parties, but that doesn't help when it comes to calming our paranoia.
 22.
If Sparta had any honor they would...give crippling reps? I guess? As far as I can tell, nobody in Supergrievences/Karma/Hegemony 2.0/whatever we are this week has been trying to be world police.
Which is why I'm not as paranoid. We're staying in, not because of some weird outrage over Sparta offering their (generous) reps-free peace (happy, white peace wording nazis?), but because we're not done yet. Our allies are still in, it would be dishonorable to leave now. I don't agree with the preemptive strike. It was stupid. But how come it was ok for MK to say 'we'll take care of Athens and make sure they don't tech raid an alliance again', but TOP and IRON aren't allowed to screw up and get off with a scolding? For the record, I didn't think Athens getting off was right either, I just really dislike double standards. To all you Spartans who are saying we threw white peace in your face, well... I'm sorry. But if you expect a war to be a quick one week jaunt through the countryside with party favors for everyone, and hold a grudge if that's not the case, no matter that us exiting would be the dishonorable thing, then you really need to rethink your stance on getting into politics.
 23.
tl;dr SuperGrievances are guilty of crimes Banedon thinks we might commit in the future.
While I'm not quite as paranoid as my brother there, Athens hasn't exactly given us a lot of hope for the future. His paranoia isn't coming out of the blue here.
