For clarification on Korean maritime policy, our waters are open at all times to any merchant or otherwise commercial vessel (privately or publicly owned) provided that they report their course, heading, and maintain that course (with a small corridor of freedom) during their voyage through Korean waters. Non-allied military vessels (with the strict exception of those of the Hanseatic Commonwealth as they, like their predecessors of Neo Japan they are able to transport small numbers of military naval vessels through the Strait on the Japanese side of Tsushima again in a very tight corridor) are prohibited from entering Korean waters and will be fired on after being hailed to turn around. Furthermore, roughly half of the Tsushima Strait is under the control of Korea and thus is subject to the same laws.

[News Broadcast] Emperor Kim has First Child New Hansong, Empire of Korea: It was been publicly revealed today that Emperor Kim Kee Hyuk has had his first child--a girl by the name of Hye Jin. No photographer from any news network or broadcasting studio has managed to capture a picture of the child but it is said that she is a very healthy baby born in one of the world's finest hospitals in Canada. The Empire rejoices along with its leader who has, after long while, had a child. The identity of the mother remains unknown at this time. There is also much speculation that this baby was genetically altered by the Canadian doctors but it is unknown if this is true or not.

By limited, the Emperor and the Foreign Ministry are referring to nations with whom we have had longstanding past relations with. Yamato is a relatively new nation and we will observe it before making any further moves but for the moment, we must decline the treaty.

In recognition of changing sentiment in the Empire of Korea and changing global politics, Emperor Kim Kee Hyuk decreed on the night of the 24th of May that the Empire shall henceforth leave total isolation and pursue limited diplomacy with certain states around the globe. In recognition of the continuous brotherhood between the various peoples of the Middle East under the single banner known as "The Rebel Army" and the Korean peoples, we, the aforementioned peoples, do hereby enter into this agreement and treaty that shall be henceforth known as "The Rebel Korean Pact". In short, the treaty entails a mutual defense pact between the two sovereign nations with the possibility of assistance in what is hereby referred to as "preemptive defensive strikes". The treaty entails a number of other points including the recognition of borders, the opportunity for joint economic and military development, the assistance of research of all types, and a variety of others. So it is written, so let it be done.

The Emperor was enjoying his nice vacation. The committees flew representatives in once or twice a week to update him and he had a good deal of video conferences with his ministers and whatnot. There was much to be done and even more to come. When the doctors told him that success was, more or less, near, he was thrilled. It would be a nice something to his busy life.
