  1. Hell no you aren't me. But enough with the wordplay. Grub, you know I respect you even though I don't agree with you 100%. In theory, I would agree with your post 110%. Sadly, there is one factor that you haven't thought of as far as NPO goes. Polaris learned her lesson but Pacfica has not. Pacifica hasn't changed much of its policies or its mentality. I haven't seen any, at least. Until I see some, I do agree with the harsh terms. I do agree with the Karma (not the coalition, but rather the actual karma) that faces them. It took Polaris a bloody coup that tore some of the most die-hard Polars from their homes, a war that crushed us all, and reparations that crippled the proud Polar Order before indeed, a NEW Polar Order emerged. I don't know what it will take for Pacifica to begin anew and to abandon age-old policies of diplomacy. I hope it doesn't take Karma's massive, massive terms. I hope it doesn't take a massive coup d'etat. I hope it doesn't take another massive war. But until I see some change for the better, I don't think I can ever agree with letting Pacifica get not-as-devastating terms. I say this not out of hatred, anger, fear, nor vengeance. I say this as a former member of Pacifica who gave his nation's earliest bloody, sweat, and tears to protect. I say this because I am a former member of Pacifica who isn't happy with what his former home became. I'm not pointing any fingers, I'm not placing any blame, but there needs to be some change. Then again, some on the other side of the coin also need to start shaping up and showing that they aren't the big bad boogey monster under the bed.
  2. My good Asriel, I doubt what the good Grand Chandelier knows what a certain word in your post that starts with a F means.
  3. As of the Third of July in the 2009th Year of Our Lord, the Empire of Korea has begun a massive monetary program to assist Korean citizens (Level three and above though in special cases, L4s and L5s may be considered) in their times of need. Those qualified for this program are those who are currently without income (though they must be actively seeking employment), the elderly, and others who are eligible. For those unfamiliar with the Korean degrees of citizenship, the levels go as follows: Level 1: Natural born Korean citizens whose parents were either L1 or L2. Level 2: Natural born Korean citizens whose parents were L3. Level 3: Naturalized citizen of Korea who has been living in the Empire for more than ten years (Korean language, culture, and history proficiency test required). Level 4: Naturalized citizen of Korea who has been living in the Empire for less than ten years but has taken a sworn oath to the Empire. Level 5: Permanent resident of the Empire who has not given up citizenship in another country. The political rights of all five groups remain the same (as in, freedom of speech, religion, fair and speedy trial, etc.). The only difference is the priority in which they receive government money. For example, for education (though public education is open to all and paid for by the government, private institutions may have their own regulations on pricing [OOC: like how in the US, there is instate and out-of-state tuition])--both primary, secondary, and post-secondary, L1's will--regardless of what school they attend--have everything paid for by the government. L2's will have almost everything paid for and the list goes on. OOC: I bought a SSS yesterday.
  4. At all of the NSO fellows, if you all think that what Chimney did destabilized the TGR to the point where there was absolutely no choice BUT to disband, then why didn't/don't you do something about it eh? I mean, Cheyenne has been riding that horse for a long, long time. Either admit that that horse has no legs or try to make us believe that it does with something more than what sounds like a broken record.
  5. So basically, this is what you did Ivan. "Hey dudes, sorry for the use of a lot of bad words when I decided that I'm gonna let my boys do whatever the heck they wanted. I don't care what they did, but sorry for the bad words being used." I wouldn't consider that an apology GPA.
  6. Ironically enough, mercy and peace is Chimney's business while rage and destruction is mine. :v
  7. Just because there is no Hegemony to look out for doesn't mean that GPA, TDO, GC, and GOP can't, you know, fight for themselves? Hell, Hegemony didn't fight for the neutrals even when they were in power.
  8. Just because they aren't allowed to start a war doesn't mean they can't finish one someone else started against them. Most alliances consider mass message recruitment approved by high government as an act of war, by the way.
  9. Word in the channels is that this same member was also hit on by a certain NSO member. :v
  10. Two*. I didn't take that much damage. (I love nukes)
  11. Because Rebecca is completely innocent of crimes against the IAA state, yes? She isn't innocent but we let her go when it was reveal she had plotted against the state. She isn't innocent and we sure as hell aren't going to let her get off the hook after besmirching the name of someone who was well loved and well respected in the IAA. Personally, I wouldn't have let her off the first time. That's probably why I run the military and not the alliance.
  12. Not with mushroom clouds irradiating his nation and destroying his doods.
  13. ...You're kidding me. You were, more or less, my right hand man. I never went to AoD when I needed something or needed to discuss something. I always talked to you. Because I respected you, because I would have rather had you as my right hand man, because I knew that you were a trustworthy guy. Or so I thought. AoD was picked over you not becuase I knew him, trusted him, or even knew if he was competant. He was chosen due to his long service to IAA. The difference is, I trusted you. And now I shall repay your repayment of my trust with what is attached to the end of my ICBMs--a nice surprise of a very mushroom-cloud-like nature. Heh. I conveniently lost three trades about an hour before Maka hit me. Thanks for the offer, I might need to make good of it.
  14. The Empire of Korea welcomes this name change and wishes our Scottish comrades well.
  15. ... FFS, do people still think I'm a girl? >___> And he helped make sure of that to by helping getting the Nuclear Path Program on the go. Of course, who knows what else a man who forgets his friends forgets.
  16. As Grand Admiral of the Fleet and as per established doctrine by the same Commanding Office, I hereby declare open (nuclear and otherwise) season on Balsamic Vinegar until ordered otherwise. Feel the fist of the Fleet.
  17. Hell, if you didn't outrank me, I would've ordered the strikes regardless of what Mathias said. >__>
  18. *sigh* It saddens me to see this happen, but what is necessary is necessary.
  19. Though the Empire, at current, has no capability of deflecting this asteroid on our own, if any nation comes up with a credible plan using nuclear weaponry to change the course of the asteroid (or otherwise destroy it), we are willing to donate nuclear arms from our stockpile to allow such a project to proceed. Until then, we watch and await the results of GA's attempts.
  20. OOC: What can I say? We like babies. I mean, c'mon. THEY'RE SO CUTE. >__>
