1. Man, the field just opened up for nuWAE voting. Way to make things competitive GATO, good show.
 2.
I'll start the bidding at three tech.
As this will double my tech levels (when my last aid package gets accepted) combined with the omen that I'm GC for the next three days only... I am inclined to accept this offer on behalf of TOP. We are yours to command for the next three days, please start a war in that time. Thank-you for using TOP Mercenaries INC.
 3.
Also I don't see TOP in any of these situations. They're not going to sit around after they finish terms you know.
TOP's just waiting for someone to show an interest in us. It surprises me that no one tried to bring us on side yet.
NPO (which has apparently failed to get a treaty with IRON or TOP).
4. It's much more funny that you guys don't.
 5.
That's the point he's making. The action being that IRON would go in paperless for one of those alliances, the same action they !@#$%*ed about Gre doing.
It's hardly a point is it? It's more of a tenuous stretch. "OMG! You sed that you might recommend to your alliance mates that IRON could possibly take an action, in the future, under certain circumstances, which others from your alliance have criticized another group of people doing before!" ... No wait, I take that back. That's the sickest burn ever, well done flak. Most epic lolz have ensued. Indeed, I now worry for the mental health of my dear IRON friends now they have been subjected to such unspeakable, if somewhat amusing cruelty. I fear that we may soon read in the newspapers of an unexplained wave of helpless despondency sweeping across IRON's nations the likes of which have never been seen before. Absenteeism will inevitably rise, industry and government will shudder to a halt, markets will collapse and hyperinflation of currency will occur. Anarchy will reign supreme in the streets of IRON as people fight over the last loaf of bread and the military will be overwhelmed by rioting. The republic will implode and once great nations will fall into decadent barbarism. I shall advice TOP leaders to start preparing humanitarian aid drops of medical supplies, tissues, gum drops and teddy bears as there will, without any shadow of a doubt be a deluge of citizens arriving at hospitals suffering from depression, untold tears from IRON subjects at the abject failure of their leaders to allow such truthful words to be said and a rapid rise in the need for a damn good hug. Now, if you'll excuse me I'll have to dash, there's an emergency meeting of the Order's security council in which it is motioned that Flak's cutting wit be classified as a weapon of mass destruction and subsequent uses to be seen as a crime against humanity. I hope you're all proud that you've unleashed such an evil on this innocent world. I fear not even Admin can save us now.
 6.
I realize FA is your weak point but theres this one alliance..theyre big and red and id say they represent a 'power sphere'
You're talking about the Cult of Justitia, aren't you... Can't fool me.
 7.
Ok, do people even know Duckroll isnt an MDP or ODP treaty, another FYI, 2/4 signatories arent even allied to each other, that is no MDP+ treaty. I've seen some good interesting tangents fly off from discussions over here, but gotta say this one was ramirical.
Stop letting the facts get in the way
 8. I am in this thread representing the Old Guard and IRON massive. *Fist bump*
 9. Yeah, this was pretty stupid. The level of anticipated humour from the planners this event did not meet expectations on the Lurktopia lol-o-meter.
 10.
Changed and highlighted the relevant part, someone a few post back talked about "rewriting history", you TOP boys are pretty good at that arent you? There are still plenty of people who want their pound of flesh Crymson so keep running your mouth, please. Its nice to see the TOP propoganda machine come to life, to bad its near the end of this folly, how couragous.
Crymson is entitled to his views and opinions, just like anyone else. Thorgrum, I would invite you to point out either here or in private where contemporary TOP, or her government have attempted to re-write history, if you raise a valid point I shall be happy to correct the record in public. However, should you just be mindlessly grinding an axe I shall be equally be pleased to ignore you in future as an irrelevancy. You see TOP is more than willing to admit that we have erred at times in the past, I can give you some examples: It was morally wrong of us to mindlessly take part in the Woodstock massacre. It was incorrect of us to treat our former friends in Vanguard, Umbrella and Gramlins poorly because they were aligned to MK and certain other (former) friends of ours had a maniacal hatred of that alliance. It was incorrect of us to kill off our relationship with Umbrella because of largely unfounded paranoia. It was incorrect of us to pre-emptively strike at C&G, we should have waited for the Polar-\m/ war to pan out naturally. (I will note that, as a group of many personalities, it does not lead that 100% of our membership concurs with all of these points) I can also admit personal mistakes, such as my crappy conduct to my alliance and de facto allies during the Karma war. The relevancy to this discussion is that TOP, unlike Gramlins, is an alliance that can be humble in face of our errors, be open to discussion on our past and, when needed, take action to correct matters. Can the same be said of Gramlins great error that is the subject of this damning long topic? Can the Gramlins be humble in the face of a public unity against them, the like of which has never before been seen? Can Ramirus admit a simple truth and admit with a wry shrug that he got this judgement wrong? Could they even take a baby step towards respectability and reveal to us the separate terms they which to impose on IRON in exchange for our agreement to amend the ESA? I do hope so, because this world really would be a lesser place should The Gramlins cease to be, even after all this nonsense, which is a place I fear we will inevitably end.
 11.
Very true, however, who was the one who got hours and hours of beautiful sleep?
Not all of us need that much beauty sleep, Feanor. You however, are ugly. U G L Y You ain't got no alibi, you ugly!
 12.
Admin doing his job $30 TOP doing there part $1 TOP's need for headlines priceless this topic was not needed.
Please accept our most deepest and sincere apology for our relentless posting over the past two months. Truly I do not know how you coped with such a relentless onslaught of self serving publicity that our three topics generated. Sir, I salute your perseverance and thank you for your well formatted rebuttal of our antics. Shame on us for disseminating information, shame on us indeed.
 13. Penkala (and everyone else really), you are more than welcome to raise any issues you have with either myself or Feanor. Otherwise? Cheerio.
 14.
I trust you had him repay any TOP loans before taking action? 2x the cash converted to tech.
Don't be bitter, darling. You know that you still have a place in my heart.
 15. As a side note, I thank those that have supported us in this matter. Your friendliness and support won't be soon forgotten.
 16.
You manage to come up with quite a sizeable list without even touching on the point, quite impressive Herr Spindoktor. Admitting to structural failures is simply a contrivance to avoid acknowledging moral ones. You mention the fall of the Continuum and the Citadel as if these were simply random events and even as you attempt to acknowledge some 'wrong' you cannot bring yourself to even use the active voice! "TOP became isolated." Passive voice, it's not something TOP did, it's something some un-named force did to TOP. If this werent on your list of 'wrongs' no one would guess it belongs there. Again, completely missing the point. When your critics say you were 'wrong' they dont mean you were in a less-than-ideal political situation, or that your internal perspective was warped (though the latter is at least an obliquely related discussion) but that your actions were wrong! The very concept seems to be incomprehensible to you?
It would be hard to respond to this subject without moving further off the topic, which would be a disservice to many, would you like Walker and I to discuss this issue further in private missive?
 17.
Some-Guy: Wait, you mean Grämlins are trying to push an amendment to ESA and still aren't planning on signing it? How does that make any sense at all? Surely they can just put the clause in question into the peace treaty with IRON and DAWN? IRON are still perfectly entitled not to sign such a revisionist 'admission' clause though (although everyone knows that apologies and admissions of responsiblity in peace terms mean nothing).
As I understand it, Gramlins will be added to the 'collective forces' as listed in section two of the ESA, the "preamble" will be added (even though none of the signatories desire it) but Gramlins will not be added to the list signatories. It still remains a mystery to me why TOP should entertain this third party request. IRON and DAWN do not wish for it and none of original signatories seem to be bothered to come and petition us to otherwise consider our position. Even the Gramlins aren't assisting us in making our decision in their favour as they have yet to even suggest what the separate conditions for an IRON and DAWN peace might be. I am having a hard time believing that this is an honest effort for peace.
 18.
In my discussions with TOP members they have said that if IRON wants it, they will go with it. I believe your gov has said similar things in this very thread, though it might have been the other one. Considering that the amendment is a simple statement of wrongdoing and several members of the surrendering alliances have admitted that this was something they shouldn't have done, I fail to see why the amendment is a big deal.
While I do suspect (and as I have indicated before) that there is sentiment in TOP to accept the amendment, if IRON would desire it let us be quite clear - the amendment is pointless, meaningless and serves no end. The words of the amendment do not improve conditions for any alliance in any way that can not otherwise be achieved with the white peace on offer and as such we do not see why we should indulge one individual in a flight of fantasy. The restitution for IRON's mistake in joining TOP in our folly has been agreed by those concerned - those that were attacked. IRON, as I understand it, offered a formal apology in the discussion of the terms and it was politely rejected by the victors as unneeded. We at TOP do not see why an outside party must interfere with those terms, we do not understand why we must acquiesce to a third party's demand that we must give an apology to you at C&G that you do not want or desire yourselves. Further, given that Gramlins attacks are serving as little more than a collective irritant for IRON, I do not foresee our friends ever being in the position that they have to ask us to accept this hollow castigation. At worst, a handful of IRON nations need to dance for a few weeks longer until Gra falls in membership into tech raid, at which point I expect the situation to resolve itself. I most certainly understand your frustration and empathise with you, Flak, the war was over a long time ago and I am certain that you never expected your salutatory exception to the start date of IRON reps to be abused by your buddies at Gramlins in such a ridiculous and disrespectful way. Like us at TOP I am sure you good folks at C&G would quite like to get along to rebuilding and restoring your nations in the most effective way possible. Most certainly the IRON reparations play a significant part of that process and it stands to reason that you folks are upset that needless disruption is occurring. I would suggest to you that perhaps you should direct your scorn at those who insist on picking at the scabs over our wounds with inane posturing and invented community standards rather than those who offer a white peace. I feel that TOP would be quite happy to eat a little humble pie for the sake of a friend. Can you say the same of your friends The Gramlins, Flak?
-snip-
Dear Fine Gentleman WalkerNinja, While I disagree with the phraseology of your first point I understand and agree with the underlying sentiment - That we should have listened and reflected on the inter-bloc issues and should have realized their incompatibility much earlier. Otherwise, spot on.
Well then that vote has probably been open for a couple days now.
We are awaiting more details from you before moving the matter to vote, specifically:
[Jun.29|20:33:28] <RamirusMaximus|GRE> And third, a note saying that the Grämlins terms are to be presented to IRON outside the scope of the ESA, due to our not signing it (Everyone involved will be given the opportunity to see our terms beforehand).
To my knowledge, TOP has not seen these additional, separate terms. I feel it stands to reason that our vote could be swayed by the fairness of your terms of peace for our friend.
 19. Dear IRON, Please feel bad, and then write about how you feel so totally bad about your actions on to some e-paper. Oh, and you had better mean it too, or they'll be trouble. OK? Love, Ram.
 20.
I admit it'd've been a pleasure to watch RAM trying to convince TOP/TORN/TSO/Carthage and whomever else was on that written proposal to sign it. I actually enjoyed the thought of going through with it just for that. Then I woke up.
I rather think TOP would be more than happy to listen to any reasonable discussion, should we be approached. So long as our friends at IRON are happy. Sure, it's an odd way to go around things rather than just agreeing to a separate peace... but whatever. We'll listen.
 21. Here's to you Ronin
 22.
Happy birthday! I'm also curious as to what your new charter secures.
While mostly typographical changes, the following is a list off the top of my head: 1) If the GM quits or is absent, the GC takes over before the GH now (Order of Succession change). 2) The GM now appoints the GD (was GC). 3) A motion from the GA now needs a proposer and seven seconders (up from five). 4) Roll MK. 5) You can only run for one position per election (was unlimited before?). Nothing fancy.
 23. Lurktopia is pleased to be aiding best Greece in the manufacturing of a Light Water reactor and has pledged two of our finest technicians (that are totally not saboteurs or deep cover agents) to assist the DPRA in this endeavour.
