  1. Bummer. Seriously. I mean I don't know what else to say. Things have to come to an end, that much is true. Good luck to us at the Legion and to the folks at ODN. O/ Legion
  2. Wow. At 116 K NS how can you just stop checking? My friend had been playing for almost 3 years and then "forgot" for 20 days. How do you forget something that you do everyday (granted only 5 minutes a day), for 3 years? I don't understand it.
  3. Whether you like him or not, be respectful. This is a goodbye thread not a business thread. If you're going to talk you owe him a "Good Luck" or something like it. I think as someone noted, we do spend much more time with the game than was originally intended. Five minutes a day has blossomed into a full time job it seems. You certainly made the game a more interesting place, and if there's any member who's been around for at least six months who claims they don't know who you are or haven't heard your name, they're not paying attention. Good luck out there. As always RL > CN.
  4. Sorry to see you guys go, but it looks like you guys are going to be okay Congrats on the new alliance and special props for the flag.
  5. We all fought well. Nice to see the radiation levels will start to come down the destruction can end so the construction can begin. Nice job on white peace. O/ Legion.
  6. And the moral to the story is don't screw your friends and allies over. And we all lived happily ever after The End. Either way he's going to learn a lesson whether anyone agrees what it is or not.
  7. This thread probably has the highest percentage of individual NPO responses than any other thread during this war. Hell, even the rarely seen Imperial Officer Loucifer posted in this thread. All we need is SDRD and Philosopher to make a token appearance and complete the trifecta. You know this thread is a waste of space. If he didn't agree with the war, he should have gone into peace mode or left before the war. You have to agree with that right? Bottomline, you don't like NPO, this guy is mad at NPO for dragging him into a war. He didn't have to fight. He could have opted out. No one is in complete control of anyone around here. The fact that he is in the position he is in is his fault and his alone. Before I contradict myself, which I'm pretty sure I did, but that's cool, here's where I stand entirely: 1) The reason the war started is BS. Oooooo. Stolen screenshot. Big deal. 2) This was the perfect opportunity for Karma to get together and try and take NPO down. They all hopped on the bandwagon. 3) If you don't believe the cause of the war, don't fight. Don't get dragged in. Just say no. Go into peace mode. Leave your alliance and come back if you oppose the reasons, but don't sit there, fight, and then whine and cry because things didn't go the way you wanted them to. Oh well. Better choices next time. Don't blame someone else for your stupidity. Look I'm not trying to make enemies, but in all seriousness, do we have some common ground ^ we can agree on here? I especially think #3 is fair. You don't wanna fight? Then don't fight. Don't cry about it later.
  8. It only takes one nation to rip another one to the ground. Loyalty is for all. You are wrong. Thank you for telling everyone you think its okay to screw your friends and fellow fighters over. I'm sure they will be excited to hear that. Now that I think about it....you may be right. I'll be interested to see how this plays out.
  9. I stopped reading this garbage at the beginning. The bottomline is that you support and fight for your alliance and friends no matter the cause, and no matter the reasons. You definitely don't go and publicly humiliate them and try and sabotage them on the big boards. They're fighting a war from 17 different sides at the moment. Do you think they give a darn about what you have to say? No. They don't. And trust me chief, they're certainly going to remember you once the dust settles. People who try and backstab their alliance don't end up very well. You might start planning on hiding in peace mode with your AA as "NONE" for the rest of your days here, because NPO is going to rip you to the ground after this war, and any alliance who read this sure as heck is not going to accept you in. You my friend screwed yourself. "One is the loneliest number that you'll ever do. Two can be as bad as one. It's the loneliest number since the number one."
  10. Gutentag. Brief stint. I was there. My first alliance. Pretty cool actually. Greetings fellas.
  11. I wonder if it will get to a point where there's so much radiation that all the people on the planet die. Does the game end? Do we all float away and colonize the moon in a new game called "Cyber Moon?"
  12. Seriously. For once in your lives. Good luck Legion. At least someone is respectful... O/ Legion
  13. This ^. Come on. I've been waiting for days. I'm all ready stuck sleeping at update. Anticipation is getting to me.
  14. When a game that was designed to take 5 minutes a day, takes up nearly your entire Sunday to catch up on the week's news within your alliance forum. Wouldn't trade if for the world. LOVE this game!
  15. I play this game for growth, not for war. I will not abandon my friends and allies I have made in my 2 years here. You don't do that. The bottomline is, regardless of whether this is a game or not, regardless of war on the horizon or not, be respectful and treat the other players with dignity. Dignity is something apart from the game that people need to use both in RL and the cyberverse. Don't abandon your team. That's another one. Stick up for what you believe in and don't leave your friends and allies behind because times are tough. Another real life skill. Life ain't fair and neither is the cyberverse. So suit up and don't wuss out when times get bad cause they might. Now, in regards to the thread at hand, props to Peztar for a great oration. In all seriousness, I hope it doesn't come to blows and I hope things can be resolved peacefully and without "bloodshed", but sometimes things don't go as we hope and I understand the ramifications of what the future may hold. And by the way, I know war is a part of the game. Like I said, we all play for different reasons and ways. Some play for conquest and destruction, and others like myself play for peaceful growth. Either way I understand and don't treat the fellow players like dirt.
  16. *claps* Congrats to all of us. You can never have too many friends.
  17. Guys it no longer matters. He has picked an alliance, so we can all quit posting here.
  18. Congrats, and no disrespect to the Galactic Republic, but it probably would have been appropriate to come back and tell us it was his thread. But congratulations again. He seems very picky, but I bet his perfectionism and meticulousness will make him a dedicated and qualified member.
  19. Yeah. This is probably the best way to find the specific alliance you are looking for. I spent a brief period of time at Echelon and I started by picking alliances that had more than 100 members for security purposes. Usually the smaller alliances are wiped out or picked on by the bigger ones. The best thing for VoxAmerica to do is to basically look at the marketing schemes here and basically pick a few and be like "What can you do better than [alliance]?" There's no question that there will have to be some compromise though.
  20. Friendly competition. Its cool. Everyone does it. There's always those key phrases that EVERYONE uses. * We offer protection blah blah blah. * Entrance aid...yadda yadda yadda * "Come grow with us" We all us this one and I hate it. There's just a crap load of generic phrases that we use. The creativity has slowly died off as my nation has gotten older. But you gotta do what you gotta do for your numbers. It kinda makes me wonder how anyone decides where to go when everyone offers the same thing.
  21. Pretty much disqualify everyone except me and Overlord Shinnra. I think we put up the best argument. Unless you first guys want to edit your posts to add some substance...
  22. I'm not going to lie, ordinarily I wouldn't have participated in a thread like this, but The Legion has some excellent qualities and though maybe after I outline them vs. what you want, if they don't mesh 100%, you may be willing to make some sort of compromise to get some-- most of what you are looking for. (1) We have a 5 member Consulate, and an 8 member Senate who does everything from Recruitment to Game Mechanics. The Consulate consists of speaker of the 6 democratically elected members of the House of Representatives. The Consulate also has Minister of Defense, Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Economics where we have a stellar and magnificently run program with tech deals, aid, and numerous things for nation growth even for big guys like us. The House of Representatives is purely democratically elected and anyone can nominate themselves and post their arguments. (2) There are about 600 active members on our forums at www.avelegio.net. The majority of these are actual members, and the other portion are foreign visitors with their own separate embassies based on color sphere. They are freely able to post in our public and real world forums. Trust me, we're active. (3) YES! Sub forum for all trade and tech deals. The trade center is open to the public as soon as you register and after you gain full membership, there is an abundance of tech forums. These trade circles and what not are thought to be semi-permanent trades that only are intended to end if a person leaves the alliance or game permanently. (4) You don't have to be a servant to the Legion government, they are pretty lax. You can volunteer for only the jobs and positions you see fit for you. We only ask that you fulfill your duties responsibly and dutifully in any job you decide to take up. (5) Aid. Entrance aid is available to all nations, not just the small ones. Like I said, we have tech deals, sales, and sometimes free money depending on what you need. ** Bottomline: I have never seen a better looking forum. I have never seen a more active forum of a group this large and I have never seen a group that works as cohesively as we do. If the Legion does not meet your needs, then you need to leave the game. In all sincerity we are the best and we deliver on all of the things I listed above. Once again our forums are located here: http://www.avelegio.net/ ** Tell them Lmcfalcon12 sent you on your application. I do not, repeat DO NOT get money or incentives for you or anyone else joining. They simply like to keep track of how many people join based on the recruitments of our members.
  23. Knew something like this was coming. Not sure if this is the appropriate time and/or place for this. Anyway, Craig, many props for your humility and stones to admit when you were wrong. This is a fine example on how to right a wrong.
