  1. It is true, and it was in the original declaration that NpO wouldn't expect allies, nor care if they recieved any. Of course, all of Bob knew that wouldn't happen as everyone's been itching for one for a while now. I personally have no ill will towards NpO, they followed their original declaration, and we threw ourselves into this war just as everyone else did. So from a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is the most hate and 1 is the least, I give this one a 0. No ill will, just unfortunate. This of course, being my own personal opinion and not that of anyone else in IRON or Duckroll.
  2. Much love my allies! To war we ride and such.
  3. Let's have fun with this one. I'll see you my respectable nemesis.
  4. A very well thought out and statistical view on this all. It seemed extremely non-bias and merely stated the situation with hard facts. It has become apparent that the acting nations have been declaring war for personal reasons more than direct hard line treaty clauses. Not saying neither side is right or wrong, but defending one's ally is honorable even if their current pact does not specify the situation. I very much enjoyed this read, thank you.
  5. Congratulations! I like the way your forum looks too. o/ EDIT: And First!
  6. I remember I used to dislike that man for what he did then... But old times are old... almsot 3 years in this case. I'll vote a 5 for this one.
  7. Well, they did state they aren't out to destroy your alliance. Maybe just give a few of your members a spanking perhaps?
  8. Perhaps you should remind your fellow alliance members that they too are diplomats for the whole of the alliance, and what they say, no matter how lowly they are on the totem pole, can greatly affect what the rest of the world will reflect upon your alliance as a whole. Seems a little late now, but for future reference, maintaining personnel discipline is more key than having a great diplomat in regards to world affairs. I too deplore what some of your fellow members had done (raiding excluded), but the fact that you all have to suffer the consequences is... well... karma.
  9. Just as it is in the real world. If any major nation with any sort of PR were to attack a smaller nation, it would instantly be blasphemed by the rest of the world. However, if you attack out of retaliation or revenge, then the world will back you. Examples: U.S. vs Afghanistan was a positive to the worlds eye because of 9/11 U.S. vs Iraq was a negative to the world because they didn't see any immediate reasons. Even the threat of WMDs (though later disproved) didn't work to move the world. However, I must give it to you \m/, you guys don't back down from your decision, and I commend those who have the balls to do that.
  10. Awesome, finally announced! o/ to Krynn Love to work with you all in the near future!
  11. I agree. I left after we defeated GOON back when and only returned recently. Even now, I don't really have a goal to aim for and am just kind of wandering around trying to figure wtf happened after this Karma War you all speak of. Things used to make sense for me, but with the NPO still under its constraints, the void of power left open does make it a little interesting. However, I do see a little less action on the blame games anymore. No more... "Oh how dare you say that my Bacon tasted bad! I declare war!" Bad CB or not... it's a war, and what else is there to look for in a game of nations? Granted, we could see which nation/alliance will become the richest, but truthfully... will anyone care? Even the WWE sparked alot of interest. A few coworkers found it an insteresting story and were about to check the game out until I told them how everyone stopped suddenly.
  12. It's so hard to take this seriously... but at the same time, I feel like I should...
  13. .... ....................... ......... (Good job in silent language... right?)
  14. It's a temporary 7 day protectorate policy though... Will FoA be able to rebuild and protect themselves in time?
  15. I'd say the number 1 reason why wars (especially globa wars) are less frequent now is because of MAD. Essentially, Nations have spent so long getting this strong, that no one wants to risk the loss anymore. You don't want to risk your alliance attacking another alliance because you could totally destroy yourself while destroying theirs as well. Personally, mutally assured destruction would be a good thing to happen to CN... a sort of reboot to all nations NS. However, that won't happen because not every nation is going to fight, or at least, not every nation is going to lose so much NS that they will become half their strength. Someone will gain out a mass war like that. Also, don't think that the world is a peaceful place right now either. It's just at a tense time where lines are being drawn. Alliances are trying to figure out who's on their side and who's against them and who's with their most likely enemy. This is actually a pretty interesting time where diplomacy is playing a much larger part than it did before. No longer is this game ran by the largest sanctioned alliances but rather, smaller sway and neutral alliances can have a voice in this world and even turn tides. WWE was something similar to the Cuban Missile crisis. If they didn't stop attacking TPF after the CC declared, there could have been something much more global. We were all ready for a war of the long run. Fortunately for the world's enviroment, however, it didn't happen. So we can all breathe for a few more until something else happens.
  16. Yes and no. Most members of one month status are expected to have something like a 5 million war chest at the least. So yes, money is easier to come by in higher quantity, making the individual dollar much less valuable. However, without proper aid, a nation won't reach the "recommended" war chests when back a few years, 100,000 was ALOT of money and daily CM strikes against 3-4 other nations in a day for a one monther meant that you were rich enough to afford them. Now, if you can't afford such a daily regiment for at least a month's time, your not adequately equipped. This all being for nations of the 1 month specter, a good level of determining a newbie who will stay or a newbie who will not stay.
  17. I'm faded... >( Although, all I really did then was just log in, do my taxes and bills and log off. I never really bothered until GATO got into another war... which seemed to happen alot... >.> However, I guess you could also call me REALLY new too because I quit playing from Apr 2007-Dec 09 (With a small 3 months of playing before and during the Unjust War)... I logged on and saw space stuff and navies and stuffs and was like... OMGWTFBBQ(sauce) is this? Who went to Mars. I also remember when I thought GATO was crazy strong with 3 mill NS and 1 million dollars was actually worth something. I blame GOON dying for my actual leaving because it seemed like the world was pretty much one sided... and also got stationed to another base. I just never expected to see some enemies I fought against in that war to have been on my alliance's side in WWE. That was also when I fell in love with IRON's general neutrality and was like... Whoa... those guys rock. I've always found myself against \m/ or >_< though... and I never had or still have anything agianst them. In fact, they are my favorite enemies. I don't know how many members of this new \m/ alliance are original members of >_<, but I thank you guys for giving me fond memories and great interest in this game. I won't lie... I don't want another war... sorta... but war definitely makes this game interesting. I wish I wouldn't have missed the Karma war though, alot of things have changed and I feel like Rumple Stiltskin.
  18. Respect for apology +1 Respect for Boris +1000000000000 Edit:
