Solidus117 will say "community" and I will refer to it as a family like "band of brothers" I think there are divergent ideas on the game and the point of the game. There are two camps that stand out to me. One is a blended game play and value of the social component of the game and then some that think the game is lame and are here just for the social aspect and are just existing. I think it's pointless to be in a group that is heading in a different direction. It only builds resentment which is counter productive for any family. You have been to a family reunion to see bitter factions. Yes it has lots of drama, but desiring drama is rather cold in my opinion. What is left is finding the place where you fit that has the game play you desire and a group that shares a core of values that you do. This combination of game play and values leads to a close bond between each other. You might call it "elitist" but I see it more as a "Band of Brothers" (fellow sisters of course).

Congrats to CP4 and this decision. It did not come easy I am sure.

I know at my work when an employee leaves we change the locks so we keep honest people honest. With people switching alliances as much as people do having set passwords seems to lead people to maybe collect them over several alliance switches and have access to things they should not. When you change a mask in theory they should no longer have access regardless of the password. That works only if people are keeping track of masking. I would have to agree that private discussions are usually made on IRC or by PM as I think it is widely accepted in practice that Embassies are not the most secure place to conduct business.

This is an official 48 hour notice of cancellation of our treaty to The German Empire according to the terms agreed upon the Optional Defense Pact. Many of the members that helped us forge this treaty are no longer with TGE. We have since drifted apart. Since we do not want to hold an empty treaty we have decided to go our separate ways until such a relationship is restored. At such time we will reconsider our options.
